If you are day dreaming of your next car or Truck, but you are dreading the car buying process, then you are not alone. Solution: Read. This. Review. Prior to buying, it is extremely important for you to research your vehicle inside and out. What is less commonly known, is that it is imperative for you to also research the Salesman for the company in which you intend to buy from. Sure, you might have your favorite Brand of vehicles, but who is the Salesman you are chatting with? Is he really a FORD advocate? Does he know the ins and outs on a vehicle's every detail? Do you feel as if you are being taken advantage of, or do you feel like you are talking to a trusted family member? If your Salesman is not Glen Germer at Lockhart Ford, then you might need to put your purchase on hold for a moment. Glen Germer is a Master Certified Sales Consultant for Lockhart Ford Motor Company. He takes his time to listen to your needs and wants. He is knowledgeable, patient, and has a keen ability to locate exactly what you are shopping for. You will not feel pressured or rushed to make a decision when you are dealing with Glen Germer. In fact, you will feel as if you are being advised by a trusted family member! I was amazed with his patience in explaining all of the technical features in my new Explorer. Not only did he explain the way the features worked, but he then encouraged me to try it out for myself! The fact that he took the time to show me how to download the Ford SYNC application to my cell phone really meant a lot. Now I feel as if I am a technical whiz! I feel that I was welcomed warmly into the Lockhart Ford Family. If you chose to take your business to Lockhart Ford, you will NOT be sorry. Thanks again to Glen Germer for taking my day dream of a owning a new Explorer and turning it into a painless reality! I will recommend this Dealership to anyone looking for a WONDERFUL experience! read more

my experience with Lockhart Ford was truly a great experience. Frankie and Mike were awesome to work with. I initially intended to just go look at a Ford Raptor and compare it with a few other dealers in the area but there was no need to go anywhere else as these guys were more then accommodating and offered what we wanted on our trade in so we made a deal. Our trade in was at home as we were not expecting to purchase anything but that was no problem. Frankie delivered us the truck himself the next day and drove our trade in back. What an east experience. Thanks guys! sorry it took so long to write this review I'll be sending people your way! read more

September 13th I took my 2019 Ford F-250 for an oil change, they advised me to also have my fuel filters changed. 15 minutes after leaving the dealer my truck caught fire despite a trail of fuel from a massive leak, despite their multi point inspection the dealer claims they did nothing wrong, pictures attached so that the public can be the judge In Response to Tim C. Comments, they took the truck and would release it to the insurance company, what they did with it is unknown. - No wiring was required for 3rd party headlights - added picture of fuel leaking on fire were rest of truck is fine - thousands of social media responses have formed their own opinions for the world to see. Update 11-10-2019 Fire marshal report is in and references the fuel the leak as the cause. Expert has seen the findings and concluded headlights run less current than stock lights, use factory plug and play harness, have fuses in them that would have blown if a fire started there. Most importantly the concentration of fire is at the fuel pump while headlights are intact. read more

I want to thank Glenn "Coach" Rotzler, Bridgette, and all the great folks at Lockhart Motor Company for helping me purchase a 2023 Ford Escape hybrid, I have a minor physical disability, neuropathy/some numbness in my feet due to a long ago illness. I went in to look at the Shelby GT500 they had in their showroom. Bridgette greeted us and was very professional and polite. Over the next few days, we spoke back and forth and ultimately made a deal for the car. When we went to pick it up, they had the car gassed up and ready for me. I signed all the papers, and we were out of there in 10 minutes. Not once did they try to sell me on anything extra or push me into anything. It was a very laid back, but still professional experience. I definitely recommend their dealership and their way of doing business was very refreshing. Thank you so much! read more

Great purchasing experience with Lockhart Ford and with Bridgette (sales) and Dustin (service manager) in particular. In general, I'm not a fan of buying vehicles...it is a large purchase and carries a lot of stress more often than not. That said, I decided to try something different this time and found Lockhart Motor Company during my search for a quality used truck. I am glad I did. From beginning to end it was hands down the most stress free and low key car buying experience I have ever been a part of. I love the smaller town feel of the whole thing and the individual attention that comes with it. This was so worth the 45 minute drive from Austin and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend including Bridgette and the team at Ford Lockhart in your car search options. read more

We worked with Adolf and Bridgette to buy our F250 and the experience at Lockhart Ford was great - no one was pushy, everyone was patient, and you can tell the owners of Lockhart Motor Company not only care about their customers but also their employees - that's the kind of business I want to support. We had a lot of questions, and even when Adolf didn't know the answer he found someone who did. We're up in Cedar Park and I would drive down to Lockhart to buy from Lockhart Motor Company again. read more

There was a little miscommunication that resulted in me driving off the lot before my car had been serviced completely. When Lockhart Ford's Service Team realized what had happened they were very quick to reach out and reconcile the issue at hand. They are very hospitable and care deeply for their customers vehicular needs. Their customer service was outstanding from the moment I walked in the door to the time that I left. I will not be taking my Ford anywhere else but Lockhart Ford Motor Company for further work. Also, special thanks to Dustin and Darren for taking the reigns on organizing, communicating with me,and executing the job that needed to be done on my car. It was a pleasure working with them both! read more

The vehicle buying experience at Lockhart Motor was second to none. First off, as an out of state buyer they took exceptional care to answer my questions and provide me the best virtual viewing experience of the vehicle I was interested in. Once I made a decision to buy, the process was quick and professional. When I flew out to pickup the vehicle, every effort was made to make my travel worth while. The vehicle was detailed, paperwork was prepared ready for final signature, given a vehicle warming gift, and treated to lunch. A big thanks to Big Mike and Lockhart Motor! read more

Best buying experience ever! Genuinely nice sales person, Glen Germer and finance director, Rudy Orona that were super helpful and patient from beginning to end. Parts, service and sales all fall short. Parts - the parts counter guy gets a commission on his sales. Everything is marked as high it can go so he gets more commission. I've been buying diesel DEF from Ford dealers across the country at an average of $26. Bought some at Lockhart Ford for $36 but won't be buying there again. I called some other dealers after this purchase to see if there had been some real world increase in prices but other dealers were still selling at about $26. Service - I've had some incredibly poor experiences with the service department that I've written about before. Earlier this month my 2017 F450 needed a new turbo under warranty. I was going camping for a week with my truck and agreed to bring the vehicle in at the end of the week. Before I left for the week I had the dealer do a full-synthetic oil change, at my expense of course. They didn't bother to mention that the turbo replacement scheduled for the end of the week would include an oil change. So, not only did I pay for an oil change the week before, but they changed the oil during the turbo replacement and used the less pricey non-full-synthetic. Sales - lots of smiles and "yes sir" thrown in but very lazy with pre-sale effort (on a truck I ordered and paid for before delivery) but very poor follow through after the sale. read more

I had a wonderful experience buying a car. Glen Gerber was my sales guy....awesome!

This is my go to place to purchase a vehicle. There is never any pressure and everyone there is so honest and straightforward. I recently ordered a new vehicle and the process was very painless. TJ helped with determining if it was the right vehicle for me, Bridgette coordinated all the paperwork and spent so much time with me orienting me to the new vehicle and Rudy helped guide me with the financing and was so patient with all of my questions. I couldn't say enough nice words about this dealership and they will always be where I go to purchase any vehicles in the future. Thank you Lockhart Motor Co.! read more

After writing my previous review Tim Clark General Manager contacted me directly. After meeting with him and his service manager Dustin today I must say that my faith in excellent customer service in this world has been restored. Tim and company not only took care of the issue but he took the time to explain and clearify the situation. I am now 100% certin that Tim and Lockhart Ford have the #1 thing anyone should look for in a dealer, "INTEGRITY". By far the best car buying experience we have ever had and we have been to many dealerships in different states. No pressure purchase. We have purchased from this dealership in the past, wonderful experience. We stopped by just to look and once again found a good deal on a used vehicle. The salesperson Bridget listened very well and was patient with us. She even stayed after hours so that we could get settled into our new vehicle. Finance employee Rudy was very quick and on point making the purchase little easier. I just wish we would have gotten more for our trade in and I would have given 5 stars. read more

I brought my vehicle in for service on 7/21/20. While waiting inside the dealership I witnessed an elderly veteran approached the finance mgr. who was engaged with helping another person. The fellow asked the finance mgr. if his battery was covered? That he had a low-battery notice & had concern. The finance mgr. assessing the situation asked if the gentleman had his vehicle there for service? To which he answered yes. Then the mgr. stated that he believed the low-battery notice was in connection to his key-fob battery & not the vehicle's battery, but that the service department would check that out & let him know. The elderly gentleman sat down, and I could not help but wonder how this would play out... After perhaps 10 minutes, the service writer came over to the customer & informed him that it was his key-fob battery that needed to be replaced, which had been done & assured him there were no further problems. Relieved, the gentleman arose, reaching for his wallet, asking what he owed them. The service-writer stated that there was no charge. The gentleman thanked him and they walked together back toward the service area. I had to smile. Thinking that I was so glad things worked out that way, thinking how appreciative I would be if that were my dad & I could know how kindly he was treated. It was my first experience with Lockhart Motors & I was favorably impressed. My vehicle was serviced in a timely manner, the fee was fair, and the overall experience was very positive. I recommend this dealership's service department for fair & honest vehicle service needs. read more

We had a mixed experience yesterday... The Good - * We got a fair deal on a 2018 Expedition (Grade - A) * Our salesperson Louis was attentive, knowledgeable and easy to work with. (Grade - A) *The manager James Grayson was great to deal with - good communication & sent additional pictures and videos to us (Grade A) * This is a family friendly business & atmosphere. Several of the kids and grandkids of employees were in the showroom. They were very well behaved & were not distracting or in the way. I always enjoy bringing my kids to my office and appreciate and enjoy this atmosphere. (Grade A+) The Bad - * The dealership does not accept bank drafts as payment for vehicles purchased. This means that you have to write them a check for your purchase or wait for your lender to issue physical cashiers check in order to drive off the lot. I've purchased 10+ vehicles from both large & small dealerships and have never encountered this. Very anticlimactic. We were able to compromise by showing the dealer our signed loan documentation and providing a copy of the cashier's check that was being sent from our lender. Shout out to UFCU for getting us our loan documents 15 minutes after getting the purchase order from the dealer - more on that below. (Grade - F) * We waited for and hour & a half after finalizing the deal for the purchase order to be faxed to our lender. This ultimately delayed our departure back to Austin to perfectly coincide with rush hour traffic. (Grade - F) * Credit manager TJ (nameplate on his desk says "I'm Kind Of A Big Deal"). My wife was born and raised in Austin and I've lived in Texas for 35 years. We both hunt and enjoy spending time in small TX towns and appreciate Texas hospitality. However, it's never a good idea to greet a woman in a business situation by saying "Hello young lady" - especially when you aren't much older than she is. (Grade F) * We told our salesman that we didn't want to play the car buying game. We told him up front exactly what we wanted to pay for the vehicle, and asked that he bring us their best deal the 1st time. After our salesman communicated that information with the credit manager TJ, we ended up playing the game after all - showing him another vehicle at another dealership for a better price. Only after this did we get their "handshake deal". (Grade F) Ultimately, this dealership had the vehicle we wanted and we got a fair price. However they need to modernize their process and show some respect for their customers in both the process of getting the deal done as well as their communication skills. read more

This was my first time purchasing a car without any help from my friends or family and I had an amazing experience. I was working with Matt Watson and he was so patient and listened to everything I said. I know that I can be very particular and impatient and he did not let this bother him at all. I told him exactly what I wanted and he looked non stop until he found the exact vehicle that was for me and never once tried to get me to settle on anything less. I live in Austin so the drive to Lockhart is not exactly close but he made the trips completely worth it. I am so in love with my Ford Edge and highly recommend the vehicle to anyone as well as going to see Matt. I will absolutely visit him again for my next ford!! read more
