Horrible communication, went in to have a pig tail rewired on my radiator fans and their know it all mechanic decided to change the wiring and add in stuff that wasn't needed and now the fans burned out within a day of his rewiring. The wiring looks horrible as well. They wouldn't tell me what my cost were at during the work and my original quote of 2600 ballooned to 7 grand from a Friday to a wed I knew the cost would be more but when I asked him where we were at he said he would call me at the end of the day to let me known then didn't hear from him for days till the cost had skyrocketed. They will do the service you request if you go in knowing what needs to be done to your vehicle but if you are unaware of the exact root for your car's issue; they beat around the bush a little and tell you to fix something else that is wrong with your car claiming that it's the issue when in reality it's not the actual root cause of the car's problem (I'm assuming to keep you coming back so they get more money). read more

Be very cautious using Noble Man Services. I took my car there this morning because the belt was slipping audibly. A very pleasant gentleman told me he would need until the afternoon to look at it. I got a call in the afternoon telling me that the belt and compressor needed to be replaced and the cost would be $1300. This was more than I anticipated and so I opted instead to pick my vehicle up. When I came in, I was told - even though no repairs were done - I would be charged $135 for a diagnostic fee. I hadn't encountered a diagnostic fee at any of the previous auto shops I'd gone to, including Lester's Shop, Christian Brothers, and Potter Automotive. Over the years, I've taken cars to each of those shops (all excellent locations BTW) and if they don't do the repair, they don't charge you. I also wasn't told about this fee ahead of time and, if i had been, I wouldn't have brought my vehicle there. I asked how long the diagnosis took, and I was told one hour. I'm disappointed; I was hoping to support a local business and was excited to have a shop to go to so close to my house. After this, I'll never bring another car here. I wouldn't take my car there if I was delivering a pizza. If you do decide to take your car there, be aware they charge AT LEAST $135 just to examine it (though they tell me they will waive this if they do any repairs). In my experience, they will not tell you about the diagnostic fee ahead of time. Also be aware that there are many other high-quality shops nearby who, in my experience, do not charge a diagnostic fee. read more

I love exceptional service! And when I get it, I like to share it with others. I took my recently purchased '95 Honda Passport into Nobleman Services this morning to see if they could diagnose the problem with the air conditioner. The staff was courteous and quick, diagnosing the problem efficiently and sending me on my way in short order. Steve, the owner, kept me engaged by showing me pictures of some of the classic cars they work on; including a few Porches from the 1950's and 60's, a Blue Ferrari (one of 3 made) and some other cool cars. If people trust these guys with those cars, I knew I was in good hands. Nobleman was recommended to me by someone I met at Starbucks a couple days ago. The gentleman told me Nobleman is known for always charging a fair price for their excellent work. After only living in Austin for a week, I was grateful for the recommendation. The best part is that everything the gentleman told me was true. Did I mention that the final cost at Nobleman was HALF of what another local auto service quoted me? Do not go to this shop! Brought my vehicle in because the engine was whining and making a scratching noise. I was told the power steering pump needed to be replaced. I replaced it, that did not fix the problem. I went back and they said that the alternator was going out. I replaced the alternator. This did not fix the problem. This is when I should have cut all ties with this place, but I went back again to see if they would replace the knock sensor they had replaced a few weeks prior. At the time of the knock sensor replacement the wrong knock sensor was ordered. When I returned to the shop the head mechanic was whittling on the (incorrect) knock sensor with a pocket knife. He assured me that it would work. He told me to come back if the 'check engine' light came back on and he'd reorder the correct knock sensor. Well the light came back on, I returned, and he would not replace the knock sensor. After I'd spent around $400 replacing the power steering pump and the alternator, I replaced the idler pulley. The whining and scratching disappeared. It was a $20 part and about 5 minutes of work. Under no circumstances should anyone go to this shop. read more

These guys are one of the reasons we moved to Kyle. My husband's car broke down (late on a Saturday afternoon) while we were looking at houses in the area. It seemed like all the repair shops were closed, but Triple A made a call, which got through to someone else, and the guys at Nobleman came to the rescue. They stayed late to fix the car, even sending someone to San Marcos for parts, (from a shop which was also, technically, closed) while we waited at Applebee's with the kids. Since then they have repaired my AC and replaced the (hard to find) top on my car, quickly and at a reasonable price. Just great. read more

I will have to start this by saying that this shop and it s employ s can be summed up in just three words. Honest, Professional and Friendly. I had a 96 Isuzu Rodeo. It had oil running down the sides of the engine and it was running a little ruff. I had taken it to this one shop and they told me that it was the rear main sell and that I would need two brand new coil overs to fix the ruff running. By the time they got done adding all the labor and everything that went with the repair, there was no way that I could afford to fix my Rodeo. I had just moved here and just started a new job. Once I got here to Kyle, I had told my mother what was going on with my Rodeo and what the other shop that had told me and she told me about Noble Man Services and how they had helped her and her husband with the repairs on the two trucks they own. I have to say. When I got there to the shop and walked in I was really blown away. The people were really nice and kind. With in minutes they had my Rodeo in the shop and was going through it to see what the problems were. Well after like 20 minutes they new where the oil was coming from and the real reason why my Rodeo was running ruff. They told me that the oil was coming from my valve cover s and the running ruff was my to coil overs alright. They just needed to be repined. Once they had told me what was wrong and how much it would cost me to fix it. It was like a few hundred dollars less than the other place and because of this I got to fix my Rodeo.
