Make sure to avoid Master Tech auto if your car is modified. Took our 2019 Camaro there when we were having some issues since it was right down the street and after they found out that it was a tuned car my husband was told, "why are you bringing it here and wasting my time, take it back to the tuner". Our tuner isn't local since we've moved (sorry some people don't stay in the same county forever‍) and the car wasn't drivable, so it was brought in on a tow lmao not like we had many options. At the time we didn't even know if it was an issue with the tune or a mechanical issue so the guys attitude towards us was unnecessary. We have several other cars that are not tuned and it would've been nice to have a shop right down the street but we will definitely not be using them for any of our vehicles. read more

I took my truck in to get a new ring gear and pinion installed in my rear axle because my differential broke I get a call from a guy named happy saying "we need to replace the entire rear axle housing Because it is bent" mind you it's made out of cast steel cast doesn't bend if it does it would crack and break and that he does not want to rebuild it because he's afraid something might happen and it's going to cost $4000. And they never even opened it or inspected it they just drove it down the road and said it was slipping which I already knew that that's why I took it to them. So I took it to another shop down the road and they were able to rebuild it and fix it for only 600 bucks. This place is a joke master mechanics ya right. read more

Honest & Accurate! I have to give a shout out to the gentleman behind the counter I don't know what his name was. I stepped into the office to find out how much it would cost to get a full tune up on my car. After discussing it for a few minutes with the tech, it turns out that what I was really needing and why pointed to something completely different and considerably less complicated and actually, something I could do myself for about $30. He could have sold me an expensive tune up but instead, he really helped me out when I needed it and built some real trust with me. I will definitely go there when I need some real mechanical work done and I recommend that anyone else do the same. I don't think this shop is going to be the cheapest, but they obviously have integrity and customer service and that's very hard to come by these days. read more

My car was an absolute mess. At 100k I figured some of the rough performance was high mileage stuff and maybe my battery needed cleaning up. Then it went nuts and decided to go all electrical even without the key. Brought it in and these guys found stuff I didn't imagine could possibly be an issue but I got the car back the next morning and my Corolla runs like new again! My bf wanted me to leave a review as he does not have Yelp. He has a 2006 f150 that is on it's very last leg. It blew a gasket on his way to work. My bf is pretty good with cars so he replaced the gasket on his own, but it was still overheating. So he paid over $100 to get it towed 3 miles to Master Tech. We are young and broke college students just trying to make it so the towing alone left a dent in his pocket. Duke was able to figure out what was wrong with his truck right away and saved him at least $600 by cleaning out his cylinders rather than replacing them for almost $1000. His truck isn't even worth $1000. Duke even gave advice for future repairs without being pushy. We have serious respect for Dukes honesty. We will both be returning if there's ever another problem! I was on my way to work this morning when I get a call from my wife saying that her truck broke down & left her stranded (close to an exit, thankfully). When I came to the rescue, coolant was spewed everywhere & the engine was smoking pretty bad. We were afraid that whatever happened caused the engine to seize up. I live near & have gone to Master-tech before & I like that it's Veteran-owned, but never for anything other than a typical oil change. So today's visit put them to the test for me! Luckily all that needed replacing was the thermostat & the belt. No other catastrophic issues with the motor & all is well now. Wifey's extremely happy with the work & the repair shop, as am I. Master Tech is the only mechanic I trust my car with. I had some major repairs done to the front suspension and steering, as well as some HVAC work last December. My steering rack had failed, the rotors warped and the pads wore down, my sway bar end links needed to be replaced, and the blend door actuator went out as well as a small freon leak. Duke and Matt helped me understand why the parts failed and why they needed to be replaced. They were very honest and even told me (and my parents) that the car was too unsafe to drive in the condition it was in. They got the work done in a few days and the car drives like new. No more weird popping noises, no shuddering when braking, the car doesn't clunk over bumps, and the HVAC is working flawlessly. This year my car has treated me to a weird oxygen sensor issue. And just like last time, their service is impeccable. Matt even joked that he hated working on my car, and I don't blame him. I hate it too. You need to be a contortionist to even look at the engine bay. I couldn't ask for a better car, though; or a better mechanic. They wrecked my car! This was the worst place I've ever brought my car. It was towed in because it wouldn't start. The quote they gave me was for a fuel pump and the price was a little high so I had a friend go pick my car up and take it to his shop. When he picked my car up the person he talked to was extremely rude to him and also the battery was dead. The battery was fine when it was delivered. My friend also told me there was a huge dent in my rear door and now the door will not open. I have never had issues with anyone at this shop but I will never return and neither will my family members. read more

My first time trying this shop, I called ahead to verify when I could bring my vehicle in. When I arrived I was told the services I was requesting would not be able to be performed even though I had called ahead. While sitting in the waiting area, I listened to the owner of the shop snap at customers over the phone and actually hang up on one customer because he was flustered with the credit card machine. I bought a service plan for this shop because it is close to my house but I would rather drive a little farther to receive better customer service in the future. read more

Long story short, I was swindled by a shady mechanic when I bought a car from him 9 months ago. After taking said car to 4 different mechanics, each one saying they fixed it, I ended up at Master tech. By the time I left it with them so many mechanic had been under her hood it was like a hot tub at a key party. There were new and old parts swirled together in a pool of filth and depravity, who knows who's wrench had been where. Well they got it all figured out! It took some time as my delightful car was coy about where she had been and what she had done, but she finally repented. It was a major repair (head gasket) and after reading the horror stories on the internet, I was more then pleasantly surprised at the cost. Matt called me and let me know what was happening each step of the way and even let me run my mouth about all the BS I had been through with this harlot of a car. After 3 months of dealing with this wayward vehicle, she's finally driving the straight and narrow. Also the warranty they offer, including road side assistance, it ridiculously awesome. I have been extremely pleased with the professionalism, quickness, and courtesy. I was also most impressed by the honesty that was displayed every time I spoke with Matt. Today while I was there, since I was in the area, I also saw another display of honesty when Duke told and customer on the phone he could have a inquiry at a parts store and see what codes were being displayed instead of rushing to his shop for a shop diagnostic that would have incurred a diagnostic charge. I took a vehicle to Mastertech to get fixed. The car came back in worst conditions than when it went in. The car ended up dying right after I left there and them charging me over 500 bucks. They took it back and of course, say that there is something wrong. What happened to their guarantee of fixing it right the first time. The owner Duke is super rude, arrogant and not customer service friendly. He hung up on me in the middle of a conversation, he said it was because it was a Monday and he was having a bad day. R u kidding me? And this is the owner, he is extremely rude and I will make sure that everyone knows to never go there. They will rob you blind. I stood and watched them change out a part in my car that took them 5 minutes and charged me over 100 bucks in labor. R u serious? Never again, fair warning, do not go to them unless you want to robbed blind. Dont be fooled by Dukes smile, deep down he is not what he appears.
