After leaving, they called him back and agreed on an out-of-the-door price of $28,000. Our sales rep, Jacob, was pleasant at first. We agreed to return on Friday with cash in hand for a 20% down payment to finalize the deal and take the car home. On Friday, we were allowed to take the Accord to our trusted independent auto shop for an inspection before signing. We already knew the steering wheel was off-center, and although they attempted to fix it before we drove off the lot, it was still noticeably off-center during our drive. We were still under the impression--based on the vehicle report provided by the dealership--that the car had a clean history with no prior accidents. However, after paying $134.93 out of pocket for our mechanic's pre-purchase inspection, we discovered a completely different story: The driver's front had been in an accident (left front repainted, writing on driver's side suspension, strut, and axle indicating potential used salvage parts). Steering wheel was still off-center. Mismatched front driver's tire brand. Aftermarket windshield. Body damage including a dent on the front passenger door and a paint chip on the trunk. When we brought these findings back to Jacob, our concerns were downplayed, and he claimed the price couldn't change because they had already worked with us. When we asked him to check with management, he was gone for a while before returning with a manager. That is when the interaction completely turned unprofessional. The manager openly dismissed our independent inspection simply because it wasn't done by "their guys," despite acknowledging they had only owned the car for 1-2 months. He arrogantly claimed it was the "best-priced car in America" and repeatedly told us that Griffith Ford is a "client-based dealership" and that he "wouldn't be mad if we didn't become clients." He went so far as to say he didn't care that we had cash in hand for the down payment and that he'd rather us walk away if we weren't comfortable. Instead of taking accountability for selling a car with hidden damage and prior collision repairs--which cost us $134.93 out of pocket just to uncover--management made it clear they didn't value our business. Save yourself the time, money, and headache: get any car inspected independently before buying from here, because their reports don't match reality and management does not care about customer satisfaction.

You will lose $325 in 30 minutes simply visiting a property because Star Vehicle Storage is a disgusting business. The state of Texas legally allows up to $272 and you can be damn sure Star Vehicle Storage is going to charge the maximum possible. It isn't "set by the state". You are allowed to charge up to that amount. Do not do business with this company.

Also positive, the staff there was friendly and helpful, it didn't take a long time to purchase the car like it can at other dealerships. My only negative is there was a lack of attention to detail on a couple things. They detail the car when you purchase and I specifically asked them to clean some sticky substance I found on the inside of the car. They said they would but they never did. Also, the car only had a quarter tank of gas when they gave it to me. These are minor things, but leaves a bad taste in your mouth when leaving. Overall, good but not great experience.

We were given the figures that included warranty price. This was the number that stuck out to me. We did not like the number so we started negotiating and apparently there was a $699.00 fee added for dent protection that I missed. So after negotiating they could not meet our number we wanted we declined. They printed out invoice for cost of vehicle. We went to get a cashier check. When we after paperwork done we handed them check to complete transaction. We were advised that it was short $699.00 dollars. I told salesman we went based on invoice. He proceeds to tell they left off the $699.00 for dent protection. At this point my 82 year old aunt was quite frustrated and decided to go forward with purchase we had been there most of the day. I mentioned to salesman we did not ask or want protection plants started that it is added to all vehicles. They wound not remove so bottom line is the posted price is not true and correct you need to add $699.00 to that number. It upsetting that we were able to get that fee removed. My aunt was in need of vehicle had her car totaled in a acres couple of weeks ago. This was her first experience in purchasing a car her late husband always did this so she had very little patience. I think I would have walked away but she just wanted it done. I regret not looking at the numbers more closely. I have purchased more than 20 plus cars and have not paid for a product I didn't choose! I will be in the market for a car at the end of the year and so will two of my sisters I don't see us going to this business! I have never done a review on a business positive or negative until today. Please excuse misspelled words was not able to correct without going back to error and starting over.
