I bought a 2019 Ford F-150 from Griffith Ford Seguin, and within one week, the truck began shutting off while driving and triggered a check engine light. After returning it to the dealership, they kept it for nearly two weeks and told me I'd have to pay for repairs -- with no guarantee the issue would be resolved. I personally scanned the truck and got a P0015 camshaft timing code, yet the dealership incorrectly suggested it "might be the starter." I picked the truck back up unrepaired, with no support or resolution offered. I've filed complaints with the Texas DMV, BBB, and Attorney General's office. Bought a used truck. Within a year the engine had to be replaced. They kept the truck from Oct until Jan. My check engine light came on as soon as I left. They said it wasn't covered under warranty? Bought a 2021 Chevy Colorado a couple of weeks ago. I was only given one key. Salesman told me he would get me another. Didn't happen.. Had to have one made and programmed out of my own pocket. It was close to 300 bucks.. Noticed a front end shimmy at interstate speed. A big bubble was found on the inside of front passenger side tire. The salesman told me he had the tires rotated. Seems if this was true someone would have found it. I found a screw in the other front tire. I went to change the tireand to my surprise the spare tire removal tools/kit was missing.. So I had to purchase one of those as well. If you are searching for a vehicle my advice would be to search elsewhere. read more

On Tuesday July 15th 2025 a sales rep named Nick zealously pursued me about my potential interest in a new truck, I told him I wasn't in the market at this time but he kept on coming so after a few hours of texts and a phone call yesterday evening I thought I'd give him a chance and I told him EXACTLY what I wanted for my trade in. Fast forward to today, I'm on my way from Seguin to Austin sitting in nightmare traffic running late to an appointment that I'm going to have to pay an extra $50 late fee to get my dog who is dying of cancer seen by the oncologist today when I get a text from Nick asking me to come into the dealership in person to go over some numbers, I responded to let him know I was dealing with my dying dog and if I had time later I'd get back to him. After I got back home I asked him to call me so that I could see whether or not it was going to be worth my time to go into the dealership. So when he called, he told me that he was going to be able to get me the amount of money I asked for for my trade-in and what could we do to move forward because his manager wanted to know what the price needed to be out the door for the new truck. I told him that there were some other factors to take into consideration like what the interest rate and monthly payments would be so he said well I'll send you an application so you can fill one out for credit and we'll go from there. Two hours later, I still hadn't heard back from him so I called and just as the person from finance is on the phone with me telling me they'd have someone else get back to me. I got a text from Nick letting me know that he was with a customer, but he was gonna go check and see what the results of the credit application were and that was at 4:27 PM. By 6 PM I still hadn't heard back from him so I texted again. He finally got back to me and he told me that they didn't bother to run the credit application because his manager said they weren't gonna be able to give me what I wanted for my trade-in after he told me I was getting what I wanted. So of course there have been some back-and-forth text messages between myself and Nick after that so here's a screen captures of Nick admitting he shouldn't have told me I was getting what I wanted for my trade before having those exact numbers in front of him, the numbers he wanted me to come review in person, the numbers he told me in the phone he did have bottom line this is a disreputable dealership as a unit is only as strong as it's weakest link. read more

The dealership is almost 3 1/2 hours away from my house but turned around when I was about halfway there. I had a trade-in, they gave me a price on, there was no negotiation. I had told them the night before that I had private financing for my credit union if need be. They offered me double the rate that my credit union did. When I told him that this would not work for me they told me I could get approved for the rate I wanted, if I knew a teacher. Could be a teacher, janitor, I didn't even really have to know them... As long as I could produce it an ID to submit with the paperwork. I do not know anyone. So then I got another call and was told that they wouldn't accept outside financing. And that was that. Forced financing isn't illegal, but it is unethical. It's also a little bait and switch to not tell me that you wouldn't take outside financing when I mentioned it. read more

The amount of writing necessary to fully explain my experience would likely deter any reader, so here's the cliff notes version: Over the course of a year, I encountered numerous blatant lies regarding the service for my vehicle. The dealership failed to address my primary concern about repairs. It took them ten months to supposedly obtain parts, citing that they were "on back order," which turned out to be untrue. They had not ordered the parts and had completely closed my request despite my attempts to follow up with them at least twice a month. When I finally got my car into the shop, I was told my concerns had been addressed, but this was also untrue. I was informed that the vehicle had been checked and the repair completed, yet the problem persisted. I had to wait over a week for another appointment to bring my car back in for further repairs. During my visit to the dealership, I overheard another customer say, "I have no faith in this service department." I should have heeded that warning. Throughout nearly a year, I learned that the dealership failed to identify the actual cause of my problem, which resulted in over $1,200 spent on unnecessary parts and labor, in addition to a diagnostic fee of $210 (which should have been credited to my repair but was not because they closed the request). Ironically, the issue was located at the other end of the vehicle. Despite making numerous complaints about the dishonesty or incompetence of the service department, the problems persisted. After posting a Google review, I received a response: "Greggory, thank you for your honest feedback about your service visit. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest quality standards for our customers, but we didn't measure up. Please feel free to contact us at 830-396-5078 and ask for the General Manager. Let us know what we can do for you in the future." However, this response did not offer any solutions for having to pay for unnecessary repairs due to their inadequate services. It seems they truly don't believe they have any lability for wat is tantamount to fraud. If you value your time, money, or sanity, please do not go here. Have been a loyal Ford Customer for over 30 years. Worst experience with a Ford Dealership I have ever had. Drove 91 miles to see a car the wife wanted, after all the normal haggling associated with buying a car we bought a 2024 Mustang GT Premium in the color (exterior and interior) she wanted. Pointed out rock chips on the hood and the Salesman agreed they could get those fixed after their "guy" could get the color paint needed on hand and then we would make arrangements to have the chips repaired (a kindergarten could have done a better job with a their paint and brushes). When we got the car home and in the garage, a few days later I crawled under it to take a look and saw that the molding below the passenger's door was damaged. I'd give zero stars if it were possible. Service Manager doesn't care that customers aren't satisfied. Communication with customers is lacking. They said one part was broken, but it was really another part. They had to order a new part, and didn't communicate that the part was going to take longer than expected to come in. They said that only the person that ordered the part could help us when we called to follow up. He was on vacation, he didn't call when he returned from vacation. The day after he returned from vacation was his day off. When the part finally arrived, we dropped off the car, and they didn't touch the car that day. We had to keep calling to see if the car was fixed yet, when it was finally fixed, they tried to charge us $500 more than the approved quote. Griffith, more like Gri***r. I recently bought a truck from Griffith Ford in Seguin, Texas, and was assured it was fully functional and roadworthy. I had told them I was going on a small trip. "They said their vehicles go through a full inspection by their certified experts for any leaks, mechanical or safety issues and it had good Toyo tires. They would not sell a vehicle that is unsafe or unroadworthy. When I checked it out the driver's seatbelt didn't work, license plate lights didn't work. (The bulbs were missing.) At that moment, I should have addressed their deceptive behavior. So, I told them to fix that, and I will pay you this much out the door. They agreed. However they lied, they deceived me, and I didn't catch it on the contract. Moving forward I am driving the truck, and the tires were falling apart, they had tire rot. The tires were 7 years old. I went to the dealership to tell them about my family trip and what could have happened because they sold me a truck with rotten tires. The manager says they would not sell a truck with rotten tires and that their vehicles go through an inspection process, and they missed it. I said OK, can you fix it and look at it. He said he can't do anything for me, I should go to discount tire. I spent 2000 dollars. I believe that it is illegal in the state of Texas to sell an unsafe vehicle. WITHOUT LETTING THE BUYER KNOW. IT IS DECEPTIVE AND DANGEROUS. IF I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND GOT HURT OR DIED OR CAUSED OTHERS ON THE ROAD. Read reviews before you purchase anything from anywhere. I purchased a used 2021 Ford Explorer a few months back. All day your salesman Bohdi called trying to get me into Griffith to get a vehicle to purchase. When I arrived, he did greet me, brought up the vehicle, then proceeded to dip and spit the entire time. A little rude carrying around a clear water bottle to spit your mess in, especially in front of people. I found a vehicle that I liked that Bodhi said, "has not been inspected and hasn't actually hit the sales floor yet'. I liked the vehicle, looked around it, even told my husband to get his tail to the dealership because I had found a great deal. Husband showed up and we both brought up items that were not right/broken with the vehicle. Items included broken middle row lights that would not turn on and were hanging out of the ceiling. The third row of seats wouldn't go down properly due to the headrest. My driver window gets off track and won't roll all the way back up unless it is constantly reset. Along with a car alarm that did not go off anytime you lock the car. To be completely honest I did not know about the car alarm or window until owning it for about a week. Bohdi confirmed on the day of sale to myself along with my husband that these items would be "taken care of" at a later time and that he (Bohdi) would call me and set up a time for me to bring the vehicle in. Bohdi even had me fill out an "I Owe You" for the lights and the back seats. Bohdi then said he would call me the next day as it was after 5pm and the dealership was closed, and no one was there to wash my vehicle. Bohdi did not call me the next day. I had to call multiple times to express I wanted my vehicle fixed from what Bohdi had promised to not only myself but to my disabled veteran husband, and no one had any idea what I was talking about. Since my day of purchase your sad salesman has yet to contact me. I had spoken to the service department who unfortunately were not under the same impression I was when it came to getting these items fixed. Imagine my surprise getting hit with a huge invoice for items I was told were going to be "taken care of". I called San Marcos Griffith to get better insight on what I could do to get in contact with anyone about getting these promised items fixed. I was put into contact with Shawn. Shawn is the manager of sales. I could be wrong, but I am led to believe that Shawn is oversees Bohdi in sales. Shawn reached out and attempted to fix these issues as again I purchased this vehicle with the promise of these items would be fixed at the expense of Griffith Ford Seguin. Because what dealership puts a vehicle on the sales floor that is not up to par to sell. I expressed to everyone how I understood I have 14 days to change my mind if we could not get resolution. It has now been well over 2 months. My vehicle was fixed because I paid over $1,000 for something that was bad communication on Bohdi's end. Bohdi sold me a vehicle with false and misleading information. Griffith Ford Seguin, your salesman, Bohdi in particular are complete garbage, need more training, and at this point are dishonest. Bohdi could have simply called me and said, "I made a mistake and I'm sorry". That small gesture would have given me understanding and empathy for the whole situation. Had that conversation happened I would have gladly picked another vehicle. The service department after 2 visits had my vehicle repaired. To my surprise I was told that Bohdi did not make commission on my sale as Griffith Ford Seguin pays their salesmen a very good salary and they get a percentage as a whole. This allows Griffith Ford Seguin to have "better salesmen". Your analogy seems to be mythology. I will continue to spread this news around like wildfire. Liars & Scammers and FRAUD! Don't purchase a vehicle from here! Went in to test drive a truck. I had a trade in which was evaluated by them. The finance guy Corey made me a verbal offer of $35K for my trade and said he could guarantee me the payment I wanted which was low $1100. I advised I didn't want multiple hits on my credit report and he said he wasn't going to check credit in house and would sent my application to the bank directly. I believed him and filled out the application. He runs the credit and comes back and says were approved which Security Credit Union, credit is great but payment was $1200 with 7.2APR. When I look at the paper work the trade value went down about $1500. I asked him why he said he didn't have the correct numbers initially. This was the first lie they said to us. He said he would offer me $500 more on trade and we agreed verbally. At that time I had to leave to take my son to a football game so I said we would be back in a couple hours. We had already agreed on the trade price and credit was already run so we were just going to come back to sign paper work. The last thing I said was for them to come down a little on the price of vehicle. While I was gone we get a phone call from salesman advising that someone else is there looking at the truck, typical sales gimmick. I advise again that we waiting on Cory to advise the final numbers and were interested. A manager then calls and advised that the credit was run in house and not directly to the bank as Cory had stated and they didn't even know if I would get the 7.2% APR. At this point I'm upset because this is the second lie they told me. They first said they ran credit with the bank and we were approved at 7.2% APR. On Monday I call the salesman and told him since you apparently haven't run the credit with the bank and only did an in house credit app I'm going to get my own financing with the bank and asked them for the paper work to take to the bank. After that I never heard from them again. So apparently because I chose to get my own financing and would agree to their financing where they would increase the interest rate they sold the car to another person! They are scammers and just looking to scam you with a higher interest rate and they just want you to get your own financing because for them the payout/commission is less for them. They are liars, scammers and not good to work with. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else where you will find honest people to work with. They committed FRAUD running my credit in house when i didn't agree to that. I only provided them my social when they said they were going to send my application straight to the bank. I'd give zero stars if it were possible!! I took my car in for a recall repair. We dropped our vehicle off at 8am on Friday morning as per our appointment. At 4:30pm after having my car all day, I call to check on the status of my vehicle and was told something else was accidentally broken in the process of doing the recall repair. I was set up with a rental at Enterprise in Seguin. Enterprise tells me they won't have cars available for pick up until "possibly Monday". I inform the service department of this and was basically told oh well. This would have left me and my family without a car on Mother's Day weekend. This is my only vehicle and we made this very clear to the service department, we were assured it would be done that same day. I was left to call around and try to find my own rental car at 4:45pm on a Friday. I wasn't able to get a car until Saturday morning. Ford didn't even cover the entire cost of my rental and I still had to come out of pocket for the additional amount. I called and spoke to the service manager Wes Kerlick and told him that every time we take our vehicle in for service there's an issue. The oil cap has been left off after an oil change which caused oil to spill onto the motor (this has happened twice) and now this has happened as well. Wes then tells me "well if you're not happy then take your car somewhere else". Hours later Wes texts to tell me to inform me that a rental car will be ready for pick up in New Braunfels the next day. Well yes of course it will be, I SET THAT UP after calling around for 30+ minutes to find a vehicle for my family and I. I had to ensure my daughter has a way to get to school and I need transportation to and from work. I have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership but after the way I was treated, I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from Griffith Ford. So much for trying to keep my business local, I will do as Wes said and take my business as well as tell family, friends and co workers to take their business elsewhere. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, and this doesn't fall particularly on the whole dealership itself but specifically on Taylor Brannen the sales manager and Darren Whitt the general sales manager. We bought a bronco sport and at the time of signing the papers Taylor Brannen verbally expressed a 14 day money back guarantee, stating that after 14 days or up to 1,000 miles we could bring it back and be fully refunded. It had some issues we weren't expecting and I'm guessing Taylor didn't think anyone would ever hold him up to his word because when time came and we wanted to return the vehicle and it was well under the 14 days and 1,000 miles, Taylor suddenly forgot he ever said anything about a money back guarantee. Extremely dissatisfied, the next step was to go in person and hope to get the situation figured out. We left the dealership essentially being told that other salesmen have mentioned the money back guarantee in the past, but that Taylor is a perfect being and that would never say that. I had a sales man that wasn't pushy and was honest (and wasn't bad to look at either ;) think Jude Law). They didn't have the vehicle I wanted to test drive but he had me test drive one that was similar and because of he was so great I had them get the other SUV I was interested in from their sister dealership so I could purchase from him. They were mindful of my time and didn't try to sell me something I didn't want or oversell me something I really couldn't afford. I went in knowing what I wanted and with my own financing and didn't receive any push back. Our experience thus far with this dealership has been lackluster at best. It started with our initial visit to the dealership (an hour away) to look at a car that was listed online. We called before we headed out; leaving our young son with a babysitter so we could keep the process a little less stressful. Upon arriving at the dealership we were told that the car was in fact not there at all. It had supposedly been lent out to another customer without the knowledge of the manager or anyone else. Later we were told that not only was it not there but it had been driven all the way up to the DFW area. After some convincing we decided to go ahead and work on the paperwork with them to see if we could come to an agreement on the price of the vehicle and the value of our trade before we went any further. We came to an agreement on the finances, the things that needed to be fixed and that they would deliver the car to us first thing on Monday when the other customer was supposed to return the car. We didn't take delivery of the car until Thursday or Friday of that week after a wasted trip of the salesman to our home with the car in filthy, unkempt state, apparently directly off its trip to DFW. This was all back in November of last year! While they have made good on the easier/cheaper stuff that needed fixed, we have been given the run around on fixing the hail damage on the roof since then. It was all in the contract! Calls and texts have gone unanswered for close to probably 6 months now. read more

This is one busy Ford Dealership! At least in the service Department. I broke down while hauling a household in my horse trailer on a cross country move. Luckily for us, the dealership was just the other side of the interstate! It took two days and a lot of stress on my end to finally diagnose and fix the truck. Fix it enough to get me to my destination that is. I didn't want to sink thousands of $ into a truck I didn't intend to keep. It's been a great truck but my needs have changed and I'll no longer need this vehicle. The service department patched me up and I made my destination. I would encourage the dealership to hire more technicians, at least part time for when high volume repairs are needed. There are a lot of good mechanics that wouldn't mind picking up a few extra $ when their craft is needed. Lets face it, with the rising economic costs, who doesn't need an extra source of income from time to time. read more

Do not do business with this group of liars. We believed they would get us our second key fob from the previous owner for the over $43K used vehicle we purchased. The salesman, Don, would not add this key fob to a document that dealerships use called a "We Owe" when I requested that he do so. We trusted that we would be treated fairly and we would not be put at risk. After a month of requests sent all the way to the non responsive owner, Chris Jr, they have now said tough luck. This puts our vehicle at risk of being stolen, my wife, kids and grand kids at risk and now I have to foot the bill to have the vehicle reprogrammed, drive an hour to the closest Toyota dealership, sit and wait for 4 hours while they do this process and spend $700 to get it to a safe condition. Buyer Beware!!! They will tell you anything to get a sale. The owner, Chris Jr and the General Manager, Darren are horrible business people and could care less about their customers. read more
