Took my new truck in for service. I, like most service customers, was late because of highway construction delays. Service adviser Troy Fielding told me it would likely be at least an hour and a half because they were backed up. However, a short 30 minutes later he walked in with my key...the service was complete! Super pleased about that! I hate the location, because of road construction, but it didn't keep me from recently purchasing two new vehicles from my sales agent, Brandyn Kessler. I have to say that I had never even looked at this dealership for purchasing a vehicle. That changed during this process of locating a new truck. I looked at many places online and started negotiating with several, but it turned out most were only interested in selling a vehicle for as near to the sticker price as they could get. On top of that, several dealerships used the "bait and switch" tactics. That all changed when I found a vehicle here and started working with Al C. I found a vehicle online that was nearly exactly what I wanted. Al contacted me, and we started working on a price. We went back and forth for nearly a month. He was truthful, direct, had integrity, and didn't give me a load of BS when I told him about the tactics of IPAC Ram. We finely came to an agreement on the vehicle, and he had it ready for me to pick up on the agreed date. We completed all the paperwork, went through all the information on the truck, took it for a test drive, visited the different parts of the dealership (body shop, mechanics, etc) and completed the purchase. Since purchasing, we have heard from multiple folks at the dealership. They were all interested in how we liked the truck, any issues, and asked if they could help in any way. Will I return? The process started well. Easy flow overall. But towards the end, I noticed a deep scratch on the door of the new vehicle. I am buying a new car, I want it to be flawless. At that point I was planning to use the 48 hour return policy. The salesman contacted his manager. The manager told Ben if I was to take the car, they would buy the $500 all weather mats, plus, they would buy a touch up kit and have their expert touch up the scratch. I shaked hands with Ben and accepted the deal. Well, it is going on two weeks now and they have practically been ignoring me. I have sent text asking for updates. The responses have been vague. I left a message to the manager Johnson explaining the situation, no response yet. It seems they are not people who keep their word. I am purchasing the items myself now. Tired of getting blown off. Wrapping it up, the process for purchasing the vehicle was smooth overall. However, if they make any promises, make sure to get it documented. Otherwise, they will just forget about you. Bought a truck from this Gunn location and everything went smooth ...... until 4 days later the sales rep is call me to advise me that the finance company has been calling me to obtain documents(I had no calls from them). Recently noticed a slight oil leak from my oil pan gasket on a 2016 Silverado 2500. Got an estimate from a local dealer to replace the gasket but thought Gunn may be able to do it for a better price and we'd transfer our service work to them. I called and asked for a service advisor. The woman on the other end asked what I needed and I proceeded to explain that I just wanted to know what it would cost for Gunn to do an oil pan gasket for me. She put me on hold and contacted a service advisor who told her they would not work on my truck unless THEY diagnosed that it needed an oil pan gasket. I reminded her that the diagnostic at Gunn alone would be several hundred dollars (to which she confirmed $199) and I already knew what work I wanted done. She restated that her advisor would not do any work on the truck without them diagnosing it first. I asked if I could speak with the advisor and she said he would not speak with me about doing work without scheduling them to diagnosis the issue. Mind you this is not warranty work, nor was I asking for a discount. I was simply asking for them to change my oil pan gasket and wanted to know what they charge to do that before I brought it in so there were no surprises. NOPE, not only wouldn't do the work but wouldn't even speak to me. To be honest, I'm glad I had this interaction before I scheduled any work to be done. Now I know where I DONT want to bring my truck. I don't think customer service exists in 2025 anymore and if it does, it's hard to find. If I call any dealer and ask how much an oil change is, they tell me. If I ask how much a set of specific tires are to install, they tell me. But if you ask about changing an oil pan gasket.....oh no....we need to charge you $199 to tell you what it costs to change. Imagine calling a dealer to ask how much just an oil change was and them telling you they wouldn't change the oil until THEY check it to see if the oil was dirty. And to think I was planning to bring the service work on our 3 Chevy's here is crazy. Best of luck if you decide to go here. Hold onto your wallet folks. read more

Husband made an early-morning appointment. Drove there at the appointed time, with me following in my car to provide him a ride home, as we were told the service would take several hours. We live 20 miles away. We were home for about 10 minutes when a rep called to say come get the car because they wouldn't have time to get to it. What, exactly, is the point of an appointment? We turned right back around and picked up the car. My husband is annoyingly easy-going and non-confrontational. They gave him some bs story. I am not a morning person, so I wasn't on my game. Otherwise, I would have gone in to see what the heck their problem was. Conclusion: Appointments don't mean anything. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

The worst customer service experience I have ever had. In fairness the Service Manager comped my charges for their swapping out my battery cable (and other "services" I didn't approve). But a couple months later when my truck won't start (surprise it's a battery issue!). I decided to give them another chance. I have my truck towed there to be worked into the schedule since there were no appointments for over a month. I called ahead to let them know to expect it and the operator (wonderful woman) said my service rep who was assigned to me last time (yes the one who screwed up) would be notified and would call me to discuss the repairs. Two weeks go by and no call. I call to ask about it and am told my guy would call me with an update because they were just getting to it. No call but I get a huge estimate for everything in the world to be drained, swapped, bled, and the kicker; I would need to buy a new battery before they could do any trouble shooting! I already pulled the battery and had it charged and tested before giving up my vehicle for a month, which he would have known if he would have called LIKE HE SAID HE WOULD! So they want me to pay $200 to tell me my truck won't start, $275 to replace a battery that is not dead, and $50 to check the water levels on the brand new battery they just installed. Can anybody say "thanks for buying the extended warranty?"!!! BTW I called to discuss the "estimate" with Mr. Super-Service Rep and was told he was busy but if they could take a message they'd have him call me back. I replied "Okay, as long as he actually calls", I then started to explain my situation (where he hadn't called when I was told he would) and SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! I calmly called back and said, "I think we may have been disconnected?". She assured me we weren't disconnected, and that she gave him a message to call me. Had an appointment at Valmark Chevy this morning and when I got there they let me know it was going to take 8 hours and could shuttle me and my kids home. Obviously that was not okay or an option since I made a dang appointment! I recently bought a 2021 Silverado from this establishment and it was one of the better car buying experiences I have ever had. After looking around other car dealerships and them basically ignoring us lead me to Gunn Chevrolet. When I walked through the door I was greeted by Laz and he took me to exactly what I requested. The right price, great price for my trade in and the right monthly payments. The establishment itself I will give a 5 star because it was extremely clean and the wait room was very nice also. Maybe they should throw one of the 2021 Corvettes on the show floor, but that is just my suggestion. Everyone was super nice there, from the girls at the front desk to the other sales people that were there. No one made me feel uncomfortable or unwelcomed. An additional report of my used car purchase from Gunn Chevrolet. I have NEVER BEEN TREATED MORE FAIRLY by a car dealer in our 53 years of purchasing cars. Case in point. We purchased a 2017 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR at a GREAT price from Laz Velasco. Since we live many miles away from Gunn Chevrolet, on the way home the check engine light came on. I put a notice on Yelp, and then thought better of it and took it down. Our salesman must have seen it and asked me to take it to an inspection station and " have it checked out" which I did. I waited three hours for an oil change and services just to find out they didn't rotate my tires, didn't reset the air filter sensor, and left oily fingerprints on the inside of my car. I went back in and addressed this and they completed the services and offered me a $20 discount on my next service for my inconvenience. He said the service dept. would need to diagnose the issue and order the part b/c it was not one they advised of. The gentleman I made the appt with was very kind but didn't advise of the length of time. Communication needs to be evaluated. Good luck with this dealership. We found a Trail Boss truck on their website. Called and was told the truck was not there but,in transit. It would be there in a week to two weeks. So we called and said we wanted to test drive a similar truck to see how it felt. We test drove two different trucks and said will take it. We started all of the paperwork. We have great credit so paperwork was simple. They asked if we wanted to trade in my Dodge Ram. I said what is the trade in price. Mind you this is now an hour and a half into buying this truck. Our salesperson Vincent came back with the trade in number and price for the truck. We all agreed on the price and we're ready to give a $1000.00 to hold the truck. All this is going on and my wife looks online at the deal. Bam all of a sudden the same truck is $4000.00 more online. Vincent comes back out and tells us. The truck has been sold. We couldn't believe here in Texas they try to bend you over when they find out they priced the truck too low. After 2 hours the salesperson had to tell us. Not the manager.why? Six years ago my parents bought me a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire from Gunn Chevrolet's used car lot. I remember the process being painless and enjoyable. Now jump forward in time, to this past Friday evening. I was in the market for a new vehicle so I figured I'd give Gunn Chevrolet another go. When I stepped out of the car, I didn't feel like I was being attacked by vultures as is often the case at other car lots. Gunn's employees are paid salary not commission, so they tend to make sure you are satisfied with the entire process, not just trying to get you to buy a car. After looking through the lot for a few minutes, a salesman made his way out and asked if he could help. What I quickly realized was that it was the exact same salesman that sold my parents my other car 6 years ago: a nice man, by the name of Dan Greene. He wasn't pushy, and he knew his stuff. Knowing that he had been there for so long, was also reassuring because I knew he wasn't just some traveling [car] salesman (the ultra nerdy may insert NP complete joke here) who transitions from lot to lot trying to make the biggest buck. He believed in the company's motto to make car-buying easy without all the hassle of other lots. But on top of all that, the best thing about Gunn is the price and value of service. I found a truck that was much less than I was expecting, and got a trade-in much higher than I was expecting (nearly double the Kelley Blue Book value). They didn't try to over sell me on extra features, but made sure they gave me the option to look over the extra features in the event I wanted them.
