The Lounge at Foothill Bowl is an absolute gem in Auburn! I have to admit, I never even stepped foot in the bowling alley itself, I only visited the lounge, and I had such a great time that I didn't feel like I missed out on a thing. The vibe is fantastic. It feels like a true local hangout, warm, lively, and welcoming. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and on top of everything. Even when the place was packed on a Friday night, service was quick and smooth. One of the bartenders even flattered me by calling me "honey," which instantly made it feel like home. That kind of genuine, down to earth hospitality really stands out. The beer was cold and frosty, exactly what you want after a long day, and the pizza was seriously delicious. Add in a TouchTunes jukebox and a full crowd of happy locals, and you can tell this is a well loved, popular spot. I was staying right across the parking lot at the Foothills Motel, and the 10 percent discount I got at the bowling alley was a really nice bonus. I was very pleasantly surprised by this bowling alley. I was not expecting it to be updated and modern inside, and it was very nice! Clean and bright with comfy couch like seats at each lane. The floors were bright and look brand new. It was very refreshing to bowl at an alley that didn't have technical issues, meaning our ball never got stuck and nor did the pins. It wasn't busy at all on the Thursday afternoon when we went and we ended up staying for 3 hours. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it came pretty quickly and was quite good. On the screens they advertised meal deals and bowling deals that I wouldn't be opposed to going back and trying. Every staff member that we came on contact with was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time here and are looking forward to coming back. read more

It's been a year since our group has had lunch at the bowling alley. Not much has changed as the ample parking, Tesla chargers, and a local bar and grill atmosphere remains. As with our last visit the first long table was a group of locals mostly drinking beer and playing music on the music system. It was a bit loud until they left. We grabbed the second long table and received good beer and food service. The food was good with a couple exceptions. The burger was overcooked, after an explicit request to be sure it was medium rare and the Onion Rings were considered overcooked. The Patty Melt, Reuben, BLT, Philly, Fish, were really good. Very good first time experience at this bowling center this weekend. Bowled with a visiting group from Citrus Heights to bowl Foothills Match Club. So glad to finally get to try this center after many years of driving by on I-80 over the Sierras from Reno. The recent upgrades to the lanes, flooring, and kitchen are apparent. Well done. The lanes and seating worked out well. There are 24 lanes and the place was quite busy. So nice to see everyone enjoying open play as well as planned group play. There are arcade games by lanes 1-6 and restrooms near there. The bar area has a good number of TVs going as well as plenty of seating. I hung out there to eat my lunch, grilled cheese and tater tots. The sandwich was terrific. Lots of cheese and not the bare minimum of attention that many places will do to save time, money, and effort. This was a meal made with pride on their food offering. The kitchen is well equipped and they will be adding another grill station soon to complete this renovation. With this size a kitchen, I was surprised there was not at least a bit of a restaurant seating area. Large parking lot with electric charging stations available Loved the bowling pin shaped topiary by the entrance of the center. The room within the center between the front desk and bar wall to the lanes is not wide but is passable when a good number of people are enjoying the games here. Come and have fun! we loved this place. drive from out of town to stay at the retro motel and bowl. became known by the staff, and always had a great time. arrived today, and found it is $50 an hour to bowl. we turned around, drove back home, and bowled three games each, for a total of....$21.00. we enjoyed a great drive through the sierras, found a new restaurant in nevada. city, and more than likely, will never return to foothills bowl. checking their website to look at prices was futile. read more

Went to bowling and there were no prices posted and it was a weekend.i have bowl there many times we had our own shoes 2 children 1 Senior and 1adult two games it cost over $60.00 when I ask why the prices weren't posted she said we can charge what we want. read more

Terrible customer service. All about the money. We spent $155 dollars total to be very rudely treated by Kate. She started our hour BEFORE she even sold us shoes so in reality we only had 30 minutes to bowl. We couldn't even get through an entire game! While visiting my family in Auburn, we went to Foothills Bowl. This was actually our second visit. This is a great spot for bowling. The pricing is reasonable and customer service is outstanding. On our way to Reno, my husband and I stopped by a Tesla supercharger to juice up before we trekked over the state borders. Since we had some time to kill while our Model Y was being charged, we opted to check out this bowling alley which was right across the parking lot. Right when we walked in, it seemed like the spot to be as there were a ton of locals enjoying a beer and mingling amongst each other. We excused ourselves pass the crowd and made our way to the air hockey table. For $1, I challenged my husband to a game. We headed over to the front desk and retrieved the pushers from the staff member. After pushing the puck back and forth for about 5 minutes, we ended our match with a slightly increased heart rate and a friendly competitive spirit. I, of course, won the game and was pleased to brag about the win all the way to the car. read more

This is a fun piece of Americana in the center of small town country in California. For those from the Bay Area with a Tesla, this place represents the last bit of civilization before reaching Reno and has a strategic Tesla Supercharger Station. Hence, you will need to get comfortable with this place and the locals who live here who are warm, mindful, but welcoming. There is a clean restroom, a very busy bar, good prices for beer and even some video games and air hockey towards the back. The alleys here look well kept and the service seems dependable here. A lot of families come here on off days and they have many leagues. For those who are auto gasoline impaired, there is even a gas station just across to feed your sad gas guzzling vehicle. We've been here 3 times now and had fun each time. The staff is super friendly and the kidsbowlfree is a wonderful deal for families for the summer. The lanes and machines are super new. Lanes do get stripped and reoiled but you might get unlucky and come off hours where there's a lot of carry down. Food is quite solid and we've ordered food each time. Overall this is the nicest bowling alley we've been to in the area (only 24 lanes total but usually has space available). Recommended! read more

This place is well run and has great staff. However, food service and bartenders should be taught that when food/ drinks are brought to the lane they should also bring napkins. Also, food and drinks should not be brought down to the seating area by the lanes but put on the counter behind the lanes. Any drink or food that spills can be very dangerous for the bowlers. Wet shoes are dangerous. Maybe "open play" bowlers don't care but league bowlers do. read more

We came in and waited at the counter, looking directly at the guy who was at the counter to help us. A few minutes passed and he didn't even make eye contact with us. He eventually looked at us and asked us how many people/lanes we wanted, and then told us it would be a 45 minute wait. I know he can't help the wait, but twice we approached the counter and the guy never greeted us or acknowledged our existence. He just made us wait until he chose to help us. But other than this, the bowling alley is okay, but I didn't enjoy the crowd that was there and the establishment itself was a bit dirty. I probably won't return. read more

This is a solid, old school vibe bowling alley. Greasy spoon diner style snack counter. Pinball. A dive-y bar. This is bowling as it should be! The folks that work here are very nice; I lost an item and easily retrieved it with a phone call and check of their lost and found. The pricing is good, too! We went on a Saturday and for only $10 per person, were able to bowl for FOUR HOURS, with shoes included. The only reason for one star being gone -- the computer / screen / console system we had was a bit wonky. But while we weren't able to put in inappropriate names easily, we were able to bowl for cheap. Fair trade if you ask me. Would recommend! read more

This place is great, with a good team and a manager, Matt, that bends over backwards to accommodate your needs. The place is being reconstructed, so be patient but the changes are awesome. I gave only 4 stars because they have a cook there named Jeremy that can't multitask cooking. If he has 10 tickets up and 8 of them have fries and shrimp, he doesn't cook 8 he only cooks the first ticket and delivers that and then hoes to ticket #2. He cooks one ticket at a time, so your wait time for any simple food dish is 20-25 minutes. Any other place would have let him go so I'm not sure what the owners are doing about it. League nights they need quick service. With that bring said the place is and and I look forward to its completion. read more

I grew up in Auburn and used to go here all the time as a kid. It really needed upgraded and now someone has bought it and upgraded and remodeled. They have done a great job! It's the cleanest bowling alley I have ever been in and they clean every lane between guests. We went twice while we down in Auburn for Christmas. read more

I like this bowling alley. The staff is great and the prices are reasonable. They have automatic scoring which is great and they also have the Touch Tunes jukebox so you can select your favorite songs on the Touch Tunes app on your phone and hear it in the bowling alley. It's great to hear your favorite music while your bowling with your family or friends. A great place to kill a few hours. read more
