I am so livid that I have to write this review after much contemplation. I've been coming here for years and have always made appointments. These appointments are useless. I'm very accommodating and have no issue waiting even more than twenty minutes past my scheduled time because I figured i would show my support to Ben and his wife. After my final experience at this nail salon today, it is very clear Ben does not care and certainly lacks customer service skills. I have been patient time and time again but now it is very evident all they care about is making money. They make loyal paying customers wait hours. I had an appointment at 12 today for a gel manicure and a pedicure. I got seated at 1:12 on the chair after being ignored for over an hour. That should have been my signal to leave. I guess the nicer you are the more they take advantage of you. It is 2:30 and I just walked out of the salon after wasting my precious day off with only a pedicure because THEY OVER BOOK as usual and couldn't finish what they promised. On top of wasting hours, Ben literally did not give a crap to see me packing my stuff and leaving. He did not show an ounce of care. He did not once during the 2 plus hours keep me updated on when they'll work with me, talk to me, or simply ask if I'm ok. How can you waste hours of someone's day and not show any remorse or care???? Supporting this business for years when there are nail salons all over that gladly serve paying customers was clearly a mistake and I will be telling ALL of my friends and family to avoid this place from now on. The nails feel sturdy and other than some imperfections that I can fix myself they are perfectly shaped! Just moved here to Glendale from Huntington Beach. I had my bail place where I go to in HB but not willing to make a 1hr drive anymore. I decided to come here and I am so pleased and happy I found this nail salon. They are so friendly and nice. Place is very clean and they did exactly what I asked for which was a nice clean manicure with Gel color. Ben did my nails and Alex did my lip wax. I am so pleased but also a little sad that they might have to close again due to covid. I am usually a bit picky when it comes to my nails so I def recommend this place if you are too. There's absolutely NO point in making an appointment for any service here. Every time I come in, I have to wait because they're ALWAYS 30 minutes behind. Apparently accommodating walk-in's who come in 10 minutes before your appointment time is more important than keeping people who make appointments happy. I made an appointment for 10am on a Saturday, and clarified that 10am was the earliest appointment. I was told "yes," as they open at 10am. So please, tell me how, when I showed up at 10am on the dot, they asked me to wait for 30 minutes because they were running behind?! As for their work- they aren't worth waiting the 30 extra minutes either. Last time I got a fill, my nails were insanely thick and 3 lifted within one week! I'll NEVER come here again. I'd much rather give my business to an establishment that values their customer's time. read more

Ben was fantastic, he knew what he was doing and he talked me through the products he was using. *pain is beauty* for my pedicure, he was very thorough while using the sponge and "cheese" grader tool. It was, at times, rough but well needed since I had callouses and he made my feet feel so nice! I paid an extra $5 for a longer massage, it was so good! I will definitely be coming back here!! I made an appointment 2 hours before I went in and I didn't wait at all and was seated immediately. Although I overheard a woman came in without on and had to wait more than 10 min. This is my go to salon since it's so close to my home and their prices are reasonable. The staff is super friendly and offer you a beverage as they sit you down in their massage chairs. The spa pedicure includes hot towels and massage. I've done the regular mani so far and love the products they use as my nails are stronger and stay on for a while. I'm on day 5 and have no chips! I have my regular nail place, but wanted to give somewhere more local a try since my best friend recommended it to me. My friend && I were the only customers in there - some might complain about this since a busier salon means they do a better job, but I liked being the only ones. It just gave more of a personal feel. They just recently got their spa chairs in !! So if you wait a week or two you'll be able to finally use them since they're waiting on some disinfecting guy. As we picked our colors we sat down and we already had water waiting for us, which I thought was really cool. && another factor is that they spoke mostly English so that was cool of them seeing as how other salons are always talking down on you with their little friends//coworkers. I liked the results I left with. The only thing I would complain about is because I had gel on previously, I got charged $5 to take them off. Personally, this was the second place to have done this to me [the first place charged $3], but I don't think getting your gel nails taken off should be charged at all. read more

After having had a few painful (quite literally, as I was nicked and left bleeding during cuticle trims) experiences closer to home in Lancaster/Palmdale, I must admit I was beginning to wonder if I should just give up on getting mani/pedis. After finding a flyer on my car one day, I decided to give this place a try. Thankfully, Ben and his staff do a fabulous job for a good price. My last gel manicure by Ben lasted an entire month with no chipping. This, from the woman for whom a regular manicure maybe makes it two days without chipping. Typically I call a bit ahead, just to make sure they can accommodate me, but I've also just walked in and have never had to wait too long. The staff are all friendly and know what they are doing. I hate trying new nail salon places because I'm always worried that the place will charge me ridiculous prices which I am totally blind to. My daughter and I were in the area and I know how expensive places are around here. I relied on YELP to locate a place that is affordable but had great reviews. We happened to be closest to Foothill Nails. I first initiated the visit with a phone call. I needed a gel manicure and the lady told me it was $25 and I could go to the salon at the time. As soon as we arrived, the folks greeted and welcomed us despite being busy with customers. I informed them that I called in and they asked us to take a seat first. I was very impressed on how they have their price list on display. Very hip! It's on a blackboard with pretty handwriting. Everything was transparent for the customers. Since I did not make an appointment, I asked the Ben (I think he is the owner) if they had time to do my daughter's nails too. He said that he will do mine first and do everything he can to take care of my daughter. The gel manicure took less than 30 minutes and I love love how Ben is so meticulous. Great customer service too! He then informed me that he will take care of my daughter and we just needed to wait while he finishes the other customers. Ben offered free bottled water and also said that I could use the massage chairs while he finishes my daughter's nails. How fabulous is that?! Great customer service is hard to find these days. I absolutely love this place! Its under new ownership and they've really cleaned up! They have new pedicure spa chairs which are SUPER relaxing. The owner Ben is super nice and does a great job. I visited Foothill Nails for the second time last night. Both times I have scheduled an appointment at least 12 hours in advance. On both visits Ben did the fill for my acrylic nails and an older woman did my pedicure. First visit I would say that Ben did a great job in terms of making my nails both thin and narrow. There were tons of visible file marks and scratches after he polished them because he didn't buff well enough. But I didn't notice until after I left. The pedicure was fine but not great. Yesterday, the salon was packed and and even though I had an appointment there were FOUR other women waiting for Ben who also had appointments. Ben sped through my fill and it looks very sloppy. When I pointed out what I was unhappy about he fixed it quickly with the drill but never buffed them at all! They do not look smooth at all. If you are using gel that's probably fine, but I use regular polish. The pedicure yesterday was again - nothing special. I asked for my toes to be the same tan color as my fingers with black polka dots. They look absolutely horrible! I had already been there 90 minutes and couldn't have them redone. I spent such a relaxing morning here with the boyfriend. I originally came in just for a gel manicure, but it turned into a session of pampering for both of us. The gel manicure was only $20! Coming from the east coast, it was shocking to see prices this low, but I'm not complaining. The shaping on my nails is a little uneven, but otherwise, it was a great, clean manicure. After, my boyfriend got a foot massage and then we both got pedicures. Both of our feet haven't seen this kind of attention in a long time and it was so refreshing to get our nails all clean and pretty. Wow. I have been getting my nails done for a long long time and I've had my fair share of good and bad experiences. I can say that Foothill Nail Salon is one of the best nail places I have been to. I was able to make appointments through Ben quickly and when I walked in, they sat me down within a couple minutes. I got my acrylic nails from Ben and he is the best at shaping. Went there for regular manicure, shocked that I was the only customer when I entered. The staff persuaded me to do gel nail but I rejected. After the nails were cut and lotion applied, the staff asked me to go to the restroom and wash my hands, very strange, I asked them 3 times how about hot towel (written on the board in the shop), she reluctantly wiped my hands with hot towel. I have been coming to get my nails done with Ben and Alex for over a year. This place is a diamond in the rough. I get a pink and white acrylic with a gel finish and I like my nails short. Ben does a fabulous job every single time and I couldn't be more pleased. I also had problems with ingrowns on my big toes, no longer thank you Alex and Lee. My boss was really cool, or his wife talked him into giving the office girls a "Girl's Night Out". We first all got pedicures at Foothill Nails and then we went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. Foothill Nails is a very small nail salon, but have really friendly employees. They aren't fancy with the massage chairs and refreshments, but they listen to what you want, they don't push the extras and they do a very nice job. Their prices are reasonable $12 for pedi, $20 for mani/pedi. My boss's wife has been going there for years and she is quite happy there. I've gone there again since our Girl's Night and was once again pleased at the quality of service, the polite employees and the price. I recommend this salon highly.
