So we bought about 11 ponds BBQ kabab meat from foothil food market , so the teast was worst , it wasn't fresh and also the color of meat was changed , so we take it back to store to get shows and get our refund , but the mangment of the store wasn't understand and he try to defend on too many diffrend ways and also he was so rude and mean to us , so finaly he didn't help and resolve our issue and we leave the meat on the cashier and leave the store , I recommend never never try to shop in this store , they meats are not fresh and they try to cheating to the customer to make more money either on any departments read more

This is the place make me most happy in Tujunga. They have variety of things you can't find anywhere else. They sell apricot and sour cherry jams that taste like the ones my mother used to make when I was child. Not much sugar at all, you get the taste of the actual yummy fruit. Their prices are very reasonable too. Abali yogurt is another product taste so good. You can also buy high quality raki/arak (Middle Eastern alcoholic drink with aneseed) at a reasonable price. I am not a meat eater. But I buy olive, fruit juice and fresh vegies and fruits from there regularly. Sometimes I find that what I want to buy is not fresh. Ethnics only please! Such is the case with all the ethnic stores in this town. Koreans speak korean, smile and chat with their type. Armenians the same way. The Arabs not much different. So, don't expect any smiles here, but good prices and fairly good variety of fruits and veggies. Deli's OK. The meats not bad. read more

Yesterday I came down to foothill food mart to pick something up really quick and I experienced something that was not pleasant at all. The manager named Ashot was yelling at one of the employees in front of customers saying if he was not going to do his job he would fire him when the employee was staying quite and doing all of his work. Great marinated mini onions, not too much vinegar and slightly sweet. Love the Tzatziki, however needs a fair amount of salt. The Greek style caviar spread is really good, and better priced than other stores in the area. The Zedazini grape drink is great. Some things, such as canned olives with lemon are overpriced, as well as salads. And bread that Ararat bakery has for less. But It's worth it for the special foods you may not find anywhere else. read more

I have been shopping in this market for the past six years combined with my husband at least three times a week. Often we spend over $100 each visit. Up until today I have never had any issues. Even the check out girls all know me and my kids, husband, etc. We have a large family so we need to go alot and love getting fresh produce often, which might I add is good and not expensive. So this brings me to an incident today. Last Friday I purchased a large amount of groceries. My bill was over $150. We bought some marinated chicken breast from the deli (which mind you, I've purchased on several other occassions) and had frozen it upon purchase. Well today today I went to use it and it didn't smell or taste right. I brought it in and the manager or owner stood and yelled at me that I was all about the money and that it wasn't his fault and it was my fault, etc., etc. It was truly embarssing, he went on and on and at first didn't want to do anything. He was raising his voice and was so rude that I cannot imagine what he would do with a real problem. In the end after I stood my ground he reluctantly gave my a refund! He was mean, unprofessional and just down right awful. People were looking at him in apaul! Too bad for him because I was going to shop and spend another $100...bummer for me because I live a block away and now need to drive to Super King! I just was amazed as to how little professionalism this manager showed towards me as a good customer. It's pretty sad. My family has owned and operated a restaurant in Los Angles since 1927 and we know what it takes to own and operate a successful business! I can't imagine if this manager treats others like he treated me they'll be around too long. Really too bad what a bad experience this was. I'd say sure shop here but if you ever have any sort of problem, be prepared to deal with one of the rudest people I've encountered in all my years of shopping and dealing with other business owners. I am very disappointed with this market. Have been going here for over 8 years but that's going to change after what I encountered with the owner. I walk in the store with my puppy in the cart. (Yorkshire terrier T-cup. Very small dog) I walk to the back of the store and start getting a few things while my dog was just sitting in the cart minding his own business when I see the owner coming up to me yelling at me asking me to the get the hell out of the store right away because I am effecting his business by having a 7LB dog who is minding his own business and not making a single sound. Will never be back here again! The owner did not take control of the situation in a kindly manner! Especially because of the fact that there are no signs stating that there are no pets allowed. There is a new market down the street that has just opened right next to 7-11 which is so much better and cleaner. read more

The Iranian armenian lady at the register has no sense of customer service !! I went there to buy panela cheese , they were out so I bought the touma one.My family regularly shop here but today I've had it with the attitude of this chimpanzee looking register lady! She rang up two of the touma cheese I bought, one was $6.92 and the other was $7.34 , I just realized after she charged me for it that there was two different pricings and asked her to credit me for the other as it did not make any sense for me.She said it's because of the weight!! what ? water weight inside the cheese? funny! then she pushed my stuff aside with such an agressive attitude telling me to wait so the owner could deal with me.Her attitude and agressive approach was not acceptable at any standards of customer service.The owner was kind and he tried to understand what I asked and changed the label with the "new pricing" $7.34 .The owner should let go of this lady.She would be the reason of a bad experience not to shop there anymore.I will definitely get the same cheese in half the price for two! read more

I overlooked this market for a while when I used to go to the Fresh & Easy in that complex and regret I didn't go check it out sooner! I found several of my favorite foods like the oliveh salad and variety meats (tripe, heart). I went in for turnips and came out with prepared meat for lula kabobs, quail, oliveh, and variety meats. I need to spend more time checking out the rest like the grains, tea and bulk items in more detail. A lot of their deli offerings are also in the freezer area. The produce area is very neat and smells fresh, in that it is just the scent of greens and not a bunch of cleanser product. read more

The old man who might be the owner is really rude. He was yelling at his employee while there are customers all around. It was kinda busy so the wait was longer than usual. My turn came up and the same now helping bag asked me if I wanted a bag. When I said ya I didn't expect him to put everything in "a" bag. I had 2 bags worth of groceries and he stuffed them all in one bag. A gallon of milk at about 12 pounds of BBQ meat. I also had some tomatoes and bread. The bag was so heavy I thought I dislocated my shoulder. When I got home the tomatoes were all squished on the bottom and all the meat on top. Next time I'll remember to say 2 bags please. read more

This market's meat has gone down hill. I used to bbq every other weekend now when buying bbq the meat smells and looks old. His chicken used to be amazing, now it looks off colored and has a real bad odor. It's simply not what it used to be. The old dude with glasses needs to treat his employees with respect, I have seen him yell at his employees twice. One of the times I wanted to say some thing. As he was really getting out of line.
