Went here to deposit cash into my account as I bank with another credit union and was just visiting since it was the closest location that accepted deposits. SERVICE 5/5 I went in and there were maybe 2 people in front of me. I was greeted and well received. The teller was friendly and helped me with my request. I got what I needed done and was out of there very fast. I felt secure using their facility even though it was a shared branch of my branch and would be happy to go there again. HONORABLE MENTION There's a huge parking lot right at the entrance which I love. Foothill had the best ARM rate but I was skeptical coz I hadn't heard about them before. Vahan, my loan officer, made me feel at ease right from the beginning. I had an appraisal contingency that wasn't met with my earlier lender and was running short in time. He was able to overcome that in a timely manner. He was engaged throughout the weekend with the vendors and gave his utmost attention that the deadline would be met. Simply put, he put in a lot of personal care to see this through. He was always available via text, call, email and even when he was on week long vacation. Lorena didn't bat an eye; instead she talked with me gathering my concerns about the checking account transactions that I felt were scams. She didn't pass judgment, but kept analyzing to see how she could help. There were some fishy details. I gained confidence and was able to look at my phone records and find the phone# of the company in question. She encouraged me to call and remained with me as I made that call. I did get a response on the phone. The company in question knew I was at my bank and that a bank employee was with me. That appeared to make a difference in their efforts. EDIT: the response stating that taking money from my child's deposit to help cover operational costs is absurd. They take money from children (and other vulnerable people) because they choose to take money from children. Would they take money from a cash deposit? Of course not. They specifically target those who come in with coin deposits (often children and those who supplement their income with change). My credit union doesn't do this. According to the teller who spoke with me, banks don't take money from children either. They do because they choose to. This is a local example of a larger issue: the wealthy and powerful take from the less wealthy and powerful because they can. Awful excuse for a banking institution. Cowardly greed hides behind corporate policy. Tl; dr: this place is awful, fee-forward, my 10 year old figured out that their policies are greedy. There is nothing so disgusting as taking advantage of children and other vulnerable people. The teller and manager literally suggested I go to a bank instead. Please go to another credit union or do as they suggested and go back to the banks. This place doesn't deserve your money. Tried to deposit rolled coins into my child's account (I was assured they would accept it from my regular credit union closer to where I work), was told they charged a fee to do so. This despite the fact that the network is supposed to take all deposits from affiliates. My 10 year old asked "so you're charging me money to take my money?" I added, "well, they use your money once it's deposited, so actually they're charging you money to hold and use your money". The kind of people who can look a kid in the eye and tell him that they're going to take part of his savings because "policy", well, you can decide what kind of people they are. But the only people depositing coins into a bank who aren't business owners are children or those who supplement income with gathering change. This is not a place I would respect or trust. There are many other credit unions around with much better ratings, do your family and society a favor and go to one of them. read more

I arrived and checked in. I waited twenty minutes and still no one came to assist me. I inquired again with the counter person and tells me, 'it'll be a little while longer, about 15 minutes more". The branch was empty with nobody in line. I thought to myself that was a good thing so why are the employee cubicles empty? I addressed another employee with my frustrating and was greeted by another employee (unapologetic with an arrogant demeanor). He started inquiring about my visit and said he could help. Rather, he reiterated to me that Foothill Federal Credit Union is, 'not an open enrollment membership. Two separate reviews 1. i tried out the bank to see if it would fit my needs if i was out of the country it failed way to many IT database problems . so i quit the bank 2 years later i decided to try again , hoping that the IT dept had fixed the problems .......... this time i am in town and using there cards ... numerous cant read chip errors on different business's i take card back to replace it after a few days problems start again ... then i start getting do not honor msgs when i try using them trip after trip to bank and they cant fix the problem ...... i finally get fed up and tell them they should have fixed this first time ... the manager say i am harrassing the teller ...... ??? wth ?? no more chances ever ! i do like credit unions just not this one read more

Amazing customer service. Everyone there is so helpful. We opened a new account and it took less than 20 mins. They have a self serve coin machine. FREE TO USE if you have an account. If you have a lot of loose change they will take it in the back and count it with their big machine and deposit for you. There is lots of parking around the bank too! read more

I have been told misinformation over and over. What really made me mad is the OWN MANAGER told me something that was wrong. She did not tell me that when you have a new account you don't get 1500 a couple days later from your account. She said that 1500 would get released to me. This is absolutely ridiculous.
