Had a really good experience here. Easy parking right at the front of the entrance. They're well staffed so the line was very short. I was helped almost immediately and the bankers were friendly and professional. I came to order foreign currency for a trip and everything was handled quickly. They called to tell me when it was ready and it was a pleasant experience overall. Much faster experience than the other Huntington location in Arcadia - that one never picks up the phone because of how busy it is and the lines are long. I would NOT even send my WORST ENEMY to Chase Bank. A very unethical, rude, unprofessional Chase Bank representative named Abby from the customer service number in the back of my Chase Bank Debit card: 1-405-272-8835, lied to me. An UNAUTHORIZED Zelle transaction went through. Because my phone glitched they would NOT give my money back even within the hour I could have stopped the processing from happening. If it weren't for Chase representative's lie, I could have recovered my money, and the problem would have been solved within the hour. I am beyond frustrated and upset. I went to the branch for more than 2 hours and started back on square 1 in the end... They have made the phone calls with me and I guess as helpful as they could be, with the power that they are given. The employee here were fairly knowledgably about my banking and investment fiduciary needs. I understand they do not work at the level of New York or Washington DC offices or the level of knowledge that I have studied myself, being around many C-suite level executives. Chase customer service could use improvement and a lot of employee could really benefit from learning or having more financial knowledge. Talent is short in this economy and inflation has led to a lot of customer issues. I personally have ran into small issues where the team was unable to support me. I don't often visit bank branches, but I needed to work with a banker this time. We originally went to another branch and was turned away because we didn't have an appointment (even though there were LITERALLY no other customers in the BRANCH and 4 bankers). We left and I called the next closest branch and I was immediately welcomed to visit the branch as soon as possible. I drove over within 10 minutes. There was a short wait and I was helped with the banker who initially answered my call. My banker, Nicky, was very professional, polite and answered all our questions and offered the best products for the situation. She was never pushy. I would definitely recommend her as a banker. The branch itself looks to be renovated and is modern and inviting. I love the stairs! All precautions were adhered to with masks, partitions, sanitizers and social distancing. I had to talk to a banker during the quarantine. I came in and was told to wait "10-15 minutes" while many bankers were free (including one named Tony who was taking selfies in his face mask at his desk). It took me more than 30 minutes to get some help and even then getting a straight story was difficult. They didn't even correctly read the paperwork I brought in and I had to correct them on what they were telling me (based on the Chase paperwork that I got in the mail, that they had in their hands, while they were saying the opposite of what was on the sheet). This review concerns Chase as an institution, and not this specific branch. The people at this branch are quite helpful, but are working in a bureaucratic structure that really took me by surprise. I would caution anyone about using this institution, especially their linked You Trade accounts. In short, I opened a You Trade account with funds from another Chase account. Chase decided the new account was fraudulent and refused to make a good faith effort to investigate the issue further. I ended up having to go to court and spend $10K in legal fees to get the assets returned. During the process, I was told that Chase is well known for this sort of behavior. Be forewarned. read more

I'm not sure if I'm just writing a review of Chase or this particular branch. It used to be Washington Mutual and I really liked it back then, but now things are so different. Nevermind the fact that during my last visit here, the guy tried to pressure me into getting a Chase credit card even though I just wanted to make a deposit. Well, the metal detectors are gone now, so the illusion of security is gone, too. (I call it an illusion because I remember reading that WaMu got robbed even with the detectors in place). The calculators are missing, too, so when you fill out the deposit slip, you'll actually have to use your brain! And the tellers? They all sound muffled because they're sitting behind a wall of plastic now. It is so impersonal. read more

I've always liked coming to this location because they have so many trees in the parking lot. There is shade just about everywhere you wanna park, but of course, that doesn't really matter to some people, just saying. As for my transactions, they are pretty quick and smooth. Only one time when they were doing that whole transition between Wamu to Chase, I went in to make a deposit and they had me sit down at one of the private desks and ask me all these questions about my banking and sign a waiver form. The guy kept asking me and then going through my account history with me. I think they were training him because another guy would come over and tell him what to do and what forms to give back to me. It was pretty annoying because I was on my lunch break and I just wanted to make a deposit and get out of there. My usual less than 5 minutes became a 10-15 minute transaction. But for the most part, I usually get out of there real quick. read more

Why this place has a 3 star rating, I'm not sure, but the lady who helped my husband and me open our first joint account was extremely accomodating! She explained everything she could, and the process was a bit tedious but so easy! I was feeling very tired that day but she was just so energetic and helpful that I was wide awake by the end of it. She even helped me open up my first credit card there. I wish I knew what her name was, but I do remember she was a brunette of caucasian or hispanic descent. As for the bank itself, I think this is one of the prettier banks I've been. I love the mural outside and the inside looks so modern and clean. It's a shame I moved further away from Arcadia, but when I come back to visit my parents, I'll be sure to use this location when I need it! read more

This review is for this branch only. I called the bank to ask about a Health Savings Account ("HSA"). I was looking for an HSA for my new high deductible medical plan. The Relationship Manager I reached told me that they used to have that type of account, but that they no longer do. I asked if he could provide me a reference to a banking institution that might have HSA accounts. He informed that one now has to open this type of account through their employer. What?!?! That is not accurate. I'm a CPA and I have a very good understanding of how an HSA account works. I was really only looking for a bank that carries this product. In the world of banking, it's really not that unusual. More and more people are opting for this type of medical insurance and related HSA account due to the low premiums and the tax break it offers. Look, I understand if the gentleman did not know the answer to my question, and I am totally fine if he didn't really know much about HSA accounts. What I didn't care for is the fact that he just gave me incorrect banking information based on a wild guess. This is not the type of professional I was hoping to receive banking advice from. I asked to speak to a Manger and the gentleman seemed insulted. He said in a big voice, "Well, I AM a banker. and if you like, I could Google it for you." Wow, did you really just say you could Google it for me? OK, we are done here. Not to be rude, but this man was obviously a banker who knew very little about the banking industry. Again, this is OK, please just transfer me to the manager. I was finally connected to the Branch Manager who informed me that they have not had that type of account since they were Home Savings. Wait, now I'm confused. You mean to tell me that Home Savings, which was bought out by Washington Mutual in 1998, had HSA accounts before they were established and signed into law by President Bush in 2003. Wow, something is definitely not right with this time line. Again, when I call a banking professional, in this case the Manager, and ask for banking product advice, I don't want guesses. I want information that is complete and accurate. If the Relationship Manager or the Branch Manager do not know the information I am looking for, they should be honest and say as much. I would respect that much more than guesses or offers to "Google it". I am seriously thinking of taking my banking business else where. I need to know that the institution I entrust my funds to, employees personnel who are experienced with various banking products and will truly act as a fiduciary on my behalf. This branch treated my mother so horribly. She said they made her feel like she was stealing her own money. My father recently passed away and my mom made a large withdrawal to pay expenses and they treated very cold and took her id and the teller didn't let her know what they needed to do. Last Tuesday i went to the bank and a personal banker was offering me a upgrade on my account . She was explaining the details for me. At that time she told me i can go to different Chase to have my safe deposit open. The next 2 days i went to Baldwin branch to have my safe open, they told me the account wasnt exist. I called back to Arcadia first ave branch, someone told me that she was busy with other customer and put on on hold for at least 5 mins. I was like WTF, this is an urgent that i was waiting in different branch. I called back again and still couldn't talk to her at all. At then end the Baldwin branch banker called in for me and told her that he needs to talk to her IMMEDIATELY. Baldwin branch got things done and fast. So i have decided to re-open the account with Baldwin branch ..Then first ave branch called back told them that i was there first so i should not let Baldwin branch to re-process my paper work. And they ask me to drive back to their branch to slove things out. I was like WHATEVER, i didn't get any apology from frist ave branch.. I don't think i will go back there again.. their serives are not what i expected. read more
