I like Dick's Sporting Goods, this store is typically well stocked, well organized and very clean…read more They have a good selection of fishing gear, and provide line spooling. Whether you're looking for golf equipment, dumbbells, lacrosse gear, running garb or most any sports related item, this is a good place to start. Most of my fishing gear is purchased at this store, including hooks, sinkers, bait (Yamamoto worms), Trilene Monofilament Fishing Line, etc. Returns have been easy, and they have a decent rewards program.

Get up to the cashier with our new and hopefully not faulty product, she tells us that the other employees lied and that we can't do that. Walked all over the store to find the new product just to be told that. This store clearly needs to work on employee communication. Additionally the employees here act like it's the biggest burden in the world to do their job, always seem pissy and upset when a customer approaches them for assistance cause they are too busy gossiping with their coworkers. Not worth going here anymore, i'd recommend going to a independent sporting good store, at least there you'll likely get better assistance and will actually get employees who won't act like you just asked them to get a autograph from god himself when you ask for assistance.

Can't say enough good things about Miles To Go, I traveled all the way out to Sutton from Boston…read morebecause they're the only store I could find that carries the full line of Altra trail shoes, and I was not disappointed. Not only do they have Altra, but they carry all of the specialty endurance products that you typically have to go online for, whether it's hydration, nutrition, outerwear, footwear, or recovery. I basically knew exactly what I wanted going in, but spent way too much time browsing around, because it was the first time I had seen a lot of gear in person. The staff was incredibly friendly and incredibly knowledgable, and it was great that when I told them I was training for a 50 mile trail race, not only did they not look at me like I was crazy, they had great, helpful advice. I try to shop at local shops as much as possible, but all too frequently they just don't have what's needed for my silly athletic endeavors, or the level of service just isn't what you want it to be. Miles To Go doesn't suffer from either issue, and it's a small shop I'll happily make the drive for again and again.

The owner (older lady) was completely disrespectful to my family. Making faces and being rude to my kids (and they weren't bad at all). We were inside the store for no more than 4-5 minutes (I only purchased one item - in and out fast). We weren't greeted with a hello when we entered the store - actually she gave us a dirty look immediately (and we were the only ones there). I regret not saying something to her but her loss in the end. They used to have another young worker (I think their daughter), she had more respect/class than her mom. For the local families out there, I would avoid this place or shop alone. Also, don't expect the friendly hello or even a smile (that's asking way too much - unless of course the owners read this and change their attitudes immediately). I will take my business to stores that actually respect customers with families.

I am a huge fan of T.J. Maxx. The amazing deals are endless. Unfortunately, there is always that…read moreoccasional bad apple that spoils everything and that occasional bad apple was working as a cashier at the T.J. Maxx in Auburn, Massachusetts last evening, Tuesday, May 21, 2025. The young man seemed amiable enough, and that's enough for me. We're not at the Bottega Veneta Boutique in Venice, we're in T.J. Maxx, so "basic" customer service skills are perfectly acceptable. Well, it would appear that young cashier man was incapable of accomplishing even the bare minimum of customer service, and he was not one of the adorable high schoolers there saving for college. This was a whole adult. While cashing out, I was looking to explain one very small detail to him, but he was engaged in deep conversation with his very pretty colleague. I completely understand cashier/player-player, but would it be okay if I explain just one small thing to you? LOL! Well, I thought he was listening, but I guess his head was truly deep in his colleague conversation because he promptly did exactly what I politely asked him not to do. Ugh!!! Then I asked that he please not put my shoes in the bag with my clothing and it would appear that this was a trigger for him as his annoyance was both visible and audible, with him telling me that he could refuse me service and suspend my sale, and to that I responded by saying "please do". It would not have taken a Rocket Scientist to see that he had only one interest at that moment and that was the pretty young lady who he continued to converse with, even while telling me that he didn't have to assist me. Are we serious right now! I unknowingly interrupted your "will you go on a date with me" ritual, and I can't be helped, with my purchase being cancelled. Please T.J. Maxx, that Auburn, Massachusetts is one of the very first, surely you can do better. This was an embarrassing display. Here we have, not one, but two employees who would much rather converse amongst themselves than to assist little old ladies (that would be me). Had there been another cashier available, I would have simply shifted over, problem solved, but he was the only cashier open at the time. I am not one to argue with someone about things that are as unimportant as this, but I have to say that I have never in all of my years been told that I would be refused service. The fact that two whole employees chose to continue a conversation amongst themselves rather than place a bookmark in that conversation to wait on a customer is bewildering at best.
