I do think they have great, often locally sourced produce and some great bakery and deli items .... meats usually pretty good too ... but more competitive pricing would be a great idea. However - the take out food area is awesome! So economically friendly and delicious. Our favorites are their party pizzas and 30" subs for parties - chicken bacon ranch pizza is amazing! I recently got their chicken tenders sub and it was outstanding. So much bang for your buck there ... I wish the grocery store itself would follow suit. Happy that they now have self check out at this location .... but wish you could type in your phone number when you don't have your big y card like most other stores with this feature allow.

Unfortunately, one employee does not treat me with respect (although several others are great). A thin older woman sometimes supervises the self-checkout. I've never found her to be nice, but that isn't the issue. The problem is that in the recent 6 months, she has multiple times asked me questions like she suspects me of shoplifting. It started when one time she saw me buying heirloom tomatoes (which have different colors like red and orangish yellow). She asked me if I put different produce in the same bag; I guess as if I was trying to purchase oranges at a tomatoe's price? I told her no. She said okay, but she clearly didn't believe it. FYI these tomatoes are one of the most expensive they carry, at around $4.5/lb. It wouldn't even make sense to mix them with other produce like oranges. One month later, she saw me buy the same heirloom tomatoes again. She came to me, asked me the same question again, and commented something like "I have never seen orange colored tomatoes." This time, I explained to her, that they are heirloom tomatoes and come with different colors. Recently, I bought two bags of green grapes (same brand) and weighed them together. She came over and asked me if I weighed both of them, since she only saw one itemized green grape. The implication being that I tried to sneak/steal one bag. This is beyond ridiculous. I can't take it any more. I am so done with this store and will never go back again. I do want to mention that the woman Alex who works at the fish stand has been very nice to me and very helpful. She is the reason I put up with the checkout woman for a few more months. However, I cannot take it any more.

I went here Tuesday morning for my second dose of the Moderna vaccine. The lady at the front counter was very friendly and helped with our paperwork. She even let me get my shot first because my housemate got hers first last time (it's only fair). Usually I am a mess when it comes to needles, but the lady who gave me my shot was so nice and I felt very relaxed. The plastic chair and privacy barrier were on point. I am awarding bonus points for her band aid aim. When my roommate and I got our first shot, the guy completely missed the injection location. However, I think band aids are just a formality for shots, nothing wrong with a little drip. After getting our shots we were sent to the luxurious observation area. We saw something on the internet that says if you do large arm circles your arm would be less sore, so of course we had to do massive arm circles. We got some strange looks from customers but some of the pharmacy staff gladly joined in. A bit later the nice vaccine lady asked how we were doing and I said, "Good do you have any of the vaccine stickers?" and unfortunately she said no but I said, "any sticker will do". They then proceeded to pull out a HUGE basket of stickers and I got to take TWO!!!! Incase you are wondering I took the sparkly cactus and the scary looking dog. The nice tall man in the back who did arm circles with us did ask if we were partaking in the events of 420 however we genuinely were not, we are just high on life. I have had excellent luck getting my eye glasses at Costco. They seem to just get it right. The cost compared to the typical smaller opticians is exceptional. That is the reason why I renewed my membership, Picking up my new glasses today, just 5 days after ordering them I like shopping at Costco. Great prices overall. Purchased a BJ's membership, but visited once and that was it. Prices are not as good and it's a depressing store in Leominster. What was not so impressive at Costco in W. Springfield was the chaos at the customer service counter. They use a poor system for routing customers waiting to speak with customer help, routing them across the throng of shoppers entering the store with shopping carts. Bad, bad, bad workflow. Apparently, the store is being redesigned, but who knows when that will happen. Hoping they get approval to site a new Costco at a little used mall in Leominster. Much closer to me.
