This supermarket is perfectly located in Kihei to do a quick run for a fresh poke bowl. They offer great variety of bowls at a decent price. Supermarket has everything you expect for it to have but prices are a little higher of course than sometimes Safeway and Walmart. Service is ok, not much to expect from the staff. They are just foing their job. It was missing a few items we were looking for even though it was early in the morning around 830am. Place is clean but it does look a bit worn down.

Wonderful poke - we recommend the spicy ahi. Also the store made edamame is amazing. The poke sometimes goes on sale later in the evening.

Why do you even need to search for a poke restaurant when there is Foodland. Their pokes were the best among all the pokes I have tried this trip. They also carries various unique snacks and delicious alcohol beverages. Highly recommended!

This Foodland is historic for me, as it marked my 100th grocery store rotisserie chicken of the year. It just worked out that we took a family vacation right when I was set to hit the century mark. I could sit here and gush about this whole journey and how much it has meant to me, how it took me from 2k IG followers to 111k, and how it genuinely did change my life, but I've done that enough on other reviews. I'm going to let it rest. A whole tissi ran $12.29 and it ended up landing at 8.8/10, which ranks it a respectable 16th out of 100 grocery store tissis I've tried. I also got the poke from here, which was PHENOMENAL. The spicy garlic ahi went insane. I never thought I'd be using these adjectives to describe grocery store fish, but Hawaii is built different. On my 3rd trip to Foodland in 10 days, I ended up trying every musubi they had as I've never seen another grocery store that sells musubis. It got me thinking about how much I love a regional grocery store, as they give you a granular look into the local culture. I learned a lot. I learned that spam musubis are so popular in Hawaii because during WWII, fresh meat was scarce as Hawaiian shipping lines were disrupted and the US Military brought in large quantities of spam. Hawaiians began creatively incorporating it into local cuisine... interesting facts like these always send me down the craziest rabbit holes. Anyways, shoutout to Foodland. They are running a great operation in here. IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

I visited a different Foodland everyday on my visit to Maui. At this location, I grabbed a beet poke bowl for my plane ride home and I also tried the by the pound breakfast. I tried the rice, egg, and Portuguese sausage. It was average tasting, but I like the by the pound price as my breakfast was around $4.00 and I didn't have to worry about having left overs. Good service and easy parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

Loved Foodland in Kihei back in July 2015, and definitely over multiple visits late August 2025 a decade later. Nice, well stocked store and used by locals and visitors alike. Pleasant staff too! The Homie and I liked the deli/hot food section, cold beverages, and items available to supplement what's needed at the condo. Pro tip: join the MaiKai membership program. Purchases add up to significant savings and freebies.

Foodland is a great place to get fresh and delicious tasting poke! It's well stocked and clean. Everyone is really friendly. Plenty of parking!

Such a neat grocery store and I love the variety of baked goods and hot food choices. Definitely stocked up on some treats for my time in Maui! I prefer the hot foods here compared to the ABC store. Friendly staff. I had to get some of the Ube crinkle cookies. Would highly recommend to check out. Prices wont break the bank and yes they have masubi and a cool poke bar!

Best place to try Poke bowl (both quality and quantity), pick up some snack for the hotel stay! Staff are very friendly as well.

Honestly the best poke I've ever had hands down. I tried it twice here and the 2nd time was even better. The scallops are amongst the freshest and tastiest I've had. I also thoroughly enjoyed everything else such as the ahi and octopus. We tried it both with rice and some wonton chips and I preferred it with rice, but the chips were a nice change.

Easter to find off s Kihei road. Private parking lot which is nice. Be sure to grab a cart outside if you need one. Sign up for their rewards program there are bargains for being a member. They have a great poke bar in the back with helpful clerks to help you make a decision. On Fridays they have $6 specials-if you're a member of their rewards program. Great deals in the deli that day also, clerks there are super helpful if you have any questions. They charge for bags so you need to bring your own if you want to save a few cents. Happy shopping

Minus 0.1 because of the mayo sauce that didnt really hit plus the knife work but everything else exceeded my expectations and changed my mind about tuna INDEFINITELY - located inside a liquor store which i thought was pretty quirky and the parking lot is quite empty too; it's giving ratchet vibes but hidden gem - quick service - i like that they mostly serve fresh tuna only and not that many previously frozen ones because foodland has many previously frozen selections IG: @nom.noms.only

Ordering off the menu was also a great option. I got the fried rice and galbi, which came with sides and were all delicious. One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. It might be a bit more on the expensive side depending on what you get, but it is pretty in line with the rest of Hawaii's pricing. Do yourself a favor and check it out. For some reason, the couple with no reservation was seated before us and we did not get seated until about 10 mins after our reservation time while the couple ahead of us got seated within 5 mins of arriving. It made no sense to me and we were all seated inside. I would've thought we would've been seated before a walk-in. We also saw other smaller groups that arrived after us get seated before us. I make it a point because these were groups of like 3 or 4 and when we finally did get seated, we were seated in a table for 4. As the food, it is expensive for the portion of food you get. The food was good, but not something I would go out of my way to experience again. The drinks were fine, but nothing too memorable. The mai tai was good, but I think the lilikoi foam made the drink more delicious than a usual mai tai. The smoke screen was average but was lacking the smokiness taste that mezcal usually has. Overall, it's not decent place to try if you're in the Wailea or Kihei area but for the price point, I rather go to Roy's. Just don't expect your reservation to be honored because they'll sit people on a first come, first serve basis.
