I know there are ABC stores all around Waikiki on Oahu, and I'm not really surprised seeing one on Maui, but I'm glad they have one. They had most of the items at this store as they do on Oahu, so it is very consistent in that regard. They have everything there that one would want as a tourist and a local. Some neat items to bring back home to the mainland or wherever you are from. I'd say everything was packed into this store but it did have most items you're looking for. Perfect stop for a drink, to pick up a few items, and even an article of clothing or 2. Plus the usual tourist knick knacks, curious, and souvenirs. So, ABC is Hawaii's version of a gas station store (though they are frequently not accompanied by a gas station. However, id say they go above and beyond the average store located on the mainland. While they of course have a large variety of snacks and drinks, there are also a ton of souvenirs, toys, and hot food (at most locations). They also have a program where you bring at least $100 of reciepts into the store and they give you a free time (we ended up choosing a mug). I encountered a situation with the ABC security guard that felt unnecessarily harsh. I was being dropped off and taking my child out of the car seat while waiting for a parking spot to free up. The security guard approached our window and, in a rather abrupt manner, asked, 'What do you think you're doing?' I understand the need to "maintain order", but the approach felt excessive, especially in a parking lot. Great to see someone so proud of her security job duties, but she took her oath to secure the premises a little too far. We are customers. Getting out of our car. I wonder if other customers experience the same treatment when simply pulling up. read more

ABC store has a good selection of items, but I am noticing that their pricing has now become a premium on what can be purchased at competing stores retailers on the island. That Said we I have also noticed that the selection of inventory they keep is not as varied as at once was , or ad unique some hats and certain clothing there's less stock available.. The staff are always great and attentive and the items they have are well merchandised. Just expect to pay a premium for them. So rude - I spent $33 dollars on two items and asked to plug my phone in for a few mins since it was dead and I was stranded and they said no. I immediately returned my stuff. If you can't extend a small act of kindness during a tough moment I certainly don't need to be extending my wallet here. read more

IMHO Oh golly gee, who doesn't love an ABC Store?!!! When we see one, we automatically walk in, even if we're not looking for anything specific! This particular store is in the same "mini mall" where Ululani's and Sugar Beach Bakery is. If you're stopping to visit either one of them, you might as well step into the ABC Store! One of my twin daughters was searching for a specific sushi plush toy and wasn't having any luck until she found it here! Score! I became familiar with ABC in Maui. There they sell food, souvenirs, and the best sweatshirts ever! So good, I had to look them up on line to order more. I was so pleased when I received my delivery in a timely here on the mainland, and a few gifts. One was my favorite scented candle in a coconut half. This place has everything! Great place for the souvenirs you have to take home. The staff is friendly and the Polynesian security guard lady was just a hoot and Had to visit with her some. I will say the customers that park in her lot should just chill out a little. She it's politely doing her job. If you are going to park in her lot and go to another business, she will say something. Ok. Now you can just Laugh Out Loud at us for admitting to ordering Prime Rib in a convenience store. Particularly on Valentine's Day! But wait: these are two large portions in the double cut at $30 with two sides like Mac or Caesar salad, plus mashed potatoes or rice. It is cheaper than picking up the meat alone in the grocery store, where you do not get free horse radish and Au Jus. I expect you have to go in early to get it real rare. That makes it a 4 star value to take back home to warm up. Or pick it up whenever you like and head across the street to the beach for whale and ocean views. Been coming to this ABC store on our annual visits to Kihei since 2010. This store is located in a small strip mall next to the island's best bakery (Sugar Beach Bake Shop) and the world's best Shave Ice (Ululani's). This is a great place to pick up syndromes, souvenirs, gifts, drinks, snacks, chocolate max nuts, and prepared food. I'm sure I'm going to anger some by saying this, but the spam musubis here are better than the ones next door at Sugar Beach Bake Shop. I especially love the bacon and egg spam musubi - it's on point and a great meal/snack any time of day. This is basically Hawaii's version of 7-11 or Tom Thumb. However, unlike those places you always find friendly staff and be greeted with an "aloha!" This ABC store is a gem and I'm so thankful they are back open and better than before after last years flood! read more

I have been to many ABC Stores throughout Maui and nothing compares to this one, specifically for one reason- the security guard at the S Kiehi location is always giving warm welcomes and creates a safe environment for everyone. I have seen first hand people try to steal and she handled the situation phenomenally. She is a true hero to the society and a valuable member of the ABC Maui Community. This ABC Store is about a mile from Maui Lu and is the first place we stopped in to get a few items - snacks, beverages, postcards, etc. before checking in at Maui Lu. As usual, I couldn't leave without getting the Mauna Loa chocolate covered macadamia nuts. It's convenient and it's like a 7-11, but the prices are more reasonable. The employees are friendly and helpful. My husband even bought a few of the beaded necklaces made of kukui tree nuts for his friends. No matter where one is on the Hawaiian Islands, stop in at an ABC Store to get souvenir gifts at a pretty decent price. read more

Security guard is an assh0le! Visited 6/17. We are a family of four with two kids aged 8 and 1. We came in to buy some lotion and she wouldn't stop being a jerk to my 8 year old. Telling him to put things back that he's asking us, the parents, to buy and then loudly announcing that "if you come in with your kids to keep an eye out on your kids to make sure they don't break things because if they break it you have to buy it". Our son showed us a stuffy and a plastic toy that he wants us to buy, none of them he broke and everything he put it back to the same place he found it. Chill the f down, don't be a bully and don't tell my kid what to do. Not going back, will find other ABC stores that are plenty around. read more

Excellent chain of stores, similiar to CVS or 7/11. Great place to purchase gifts for friends and family, as well as last minute items, you may have forgotten to pack! They have decent booze for a small market, and they have very friendly staff. Store is very clean and they have great hours! This one is next door to the 7 day farmer's market, which makes it a great stop! Also, Ululani's is next door, AWESOME! Was able to pick up sunscreen here much cheaper than at Safeway.
