Ambiance - A decent size location. Gas station. A clean and organized location in this mall. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 7pm, 8pm, or 9pm. Plenty of parking. Service - Self service. But everyone is usually welcoming and friendly. We will probably be back daily... Price - Convenience store prices, but that is okay. Worth it for the convenience and quality. The staff was welcoming and offered to be of assistance in finding anything one was particularly looking for. This store was very clean and appealing. This convenience and souvenir store chain serves as a one-stop shop for grab-and-go food (cold and hot offerings) including drinks/liquor/ice cream, all types of souvenir island home & gifts, and many types of souvenir tchotchkes from keychains to stuffed animals. There is a large selection of beach gear as well as Hawaiian apparel. Prices of the clothing are quite reasonable and the quality good. However, it's best to shop around before buying the macadamia chocolates and other souvenirs as prices can greatly vary. If one is making a large purchase, ABC Stores offer a Gold Card, which entitles the bearer to free gifts or combinations of gifts. Ask an associate for one of their free Gold Cards. Everything a tourist needs in one place.

I've already come back multiple times just for it. Grab a bag of Maui onion chips and a coconut water with it and you have the perfect beach lunch. Usually there's a line at the poke bar but it goes by fast. Now as an actual grocery store... I did a full grocery run here to get ingredients for a SALAD, mind you, and it was HELLA expensive So I probably wouldn't come back to do all of my grocery shopping here. But for poke?? Absolutely. I did not appreciate that when I left, my cart locked before I could exit and an employee had to come and unlock it so I could leave. OVERALL: Kind of an odd location being that Safeway is just a few doors down with way more selection.

This particular Whalers is at the Shops of Wailea. I was in search of a specific set of Island Essence lotions/oils that a friend requested. I knew Whaler's would have them, and indeed they did. However, the price went up substantially. I really had no choice but to buy them anyway since my friend wanted them and was paying for them. I will always visit a Whaler's General Store when presented the opportunity.
