First time going with my son and a really close brother and we had a blast! I would recommend to go 30 minutes to an hour after they open. Parking was not bad at all and the lines weren't all that horrible. The food we had was fantastic! We scanned the whole are before deciding on what we really wanted. No you don't have to pay $20 or more to have a good food. We ate all the food we wanted and paid no more than $14. The place is live and busy, but overall the ambiance wasn't bad. Of course crowded, but not too bad and yes the lines for some areas are quite long. The variety of food is endless and even the souvenirs are legit as well. Would FOR SURE go back! read more

This wasn't all the Hype that TikToking fans portrayed Foodieland to be. My daughter's boyfriend got tickets for us which weren't cheap for three adults, and a toddler under 4 years of age. Of course it was held on the Fairground's main area. Once we arrived there were big $20 parking signs to park on the fairgrounds property. Now being that it's the last day of Foodieland's event you'd think the prices would be reduced. Not here in The Lone Star State. It's all about the almighty dollar. To be charged $20 bucks to park is ridiculous but we paid it. Once we entered into the park we were looking to see what pretty good foods they were selling. I stopped at Tiki Tiki Shrimp. There were two different lines. One was to purchase your food, and then wait an additional 20-30 minutes before you received the order you placed. I thought it could've been a much smoother process than what we witnessed. The shrimp were pretty decent but the rice tasted extra dry, and hard. My sauces weren't applied to my shrimp properly but we didn't eat before coming to the event and I was famished. I spent $24 on 18 pieces of shrimp with the shells and hard rice. My daughter, and her Boyfriend purchased a refillable Hello Kitty cup $25-35, and a $$ pricey Turkey wing that had NO real flavor whatsoever. We weren't even there two and a half hours and we'd already spent $200. Texas knows how to make a profit. Whether it's feasible or not. The portable potties were ALL DISGUSTING, there wasn't enough water in the homemade water dispensers. It was a hot mess how they had people not being able to stay healthy. I went on the last day 4/19/26 & it was horrible!!!! The foods were sub-par at best! The food combinations made no edible sense & I can't believe I wasted money on tickets and parking. If Foodieland returns to Dallas next year, please don't waste your money or time. You would do better going to the nearest gas station to get food, I promise it will taste better. read more

Keep in mind I'm a 50 something old female writing this review. First off, the lines are very long. There are so many people. It is difficult to maneuver through the masses. Almost every food vendor had a long line. So if you're hungry, plan on waiting in line a lot. Also, there's not a lot of beverage services. They offer you to buy a $25 giant baby bottle that you can refill but chances are you're not gonna want to wait in line again. We waited almost an hour and a half to get a bottle. the food is kind of like carnival food. Deep fried, not the healthiest choices but if that's your thing, then there is plenty of it. Just plan on again, waiting in line. My niece and I gave it 2 Stars because we enjoyed the homemade banana pudding and the honeycomb ice cream. Other than that, we probably would not make the trip again. read more

March 29, 2025 Dallas Fair park - I wanted to enjoy this event, but I have complaints 1st. It's overwhelmingly crowded! I expected a crowd but it's 2 way traffic walking and then you have to walk in between lines of people. I blame this on poor planning by fair park because they blocked off so much of the park that could have been utilized as seating areas. So ofc the entire experience is just trying to get through the crowds of people, people with strollers looked miserable!! No one is polite so some people would block the entire walking path just to stand in line. You end up not even wanting to try anything at all. We passed up so much food we were excited for just because we got sick of being in the area. It was ass to ass crowded. 2nd. Most Vendors don't give you Togo boxes or bags.. which I don't understand??? It's simple marketing and I'd be more likely to buy more food knowing I don't have to carry a flimsy fvkin paper plate of pizza for the next 4 hours!! This bothered me so much I honestly just wanted to go tf home.. The portions of the food are BIG, which is a weird complaint right?? But imagine getting a huge plate of food and you cant close it, because you have no Togo containers ‍ and you're stuck in high traffic areas where people are shoving past you while you're trying to eat your food I couldn't even get a sip of my lemonade w/o an idiot veering off into me because they don't know what walking is. I wouldn't come back, it's not even this bad when the fair is here. 3rd. in the "tips" for the event they tell you to find seats and have everyone go to vendors to bring back food.. WHAT SEATS?? I unfortunately do not have a lot to say, because we never made it in the facility. The wait outside to get in was absolutely ridiculous. It had to be an hour wait just to get in. We also chatted with numerous people leaving who told us the wait lines inside were not much better, and reading some of these reviews it sounded pretty awful. I understand making money, but it may be better to increase ticket prices while decreasing the amount of ticket sales. My wife and children were pretty bummed out after taking an hour train ride down just to leave and go to a nearby restaurant. read more

if you're a vendor think twice or many times before applying at Foodieland. The vendor fee is expensive and you wont see your booth location until 2 days before the event. Aside from the booth fee, you need to secure a health permit from the city even if you will just sell a pre-package food, which is per day. In Houston, it's almost $80/day. Another fee that needs to be paid per day, is your parking fee. hope this helps! read more

The food was amazing. Very very expensive, my husband and I budgeted 150 dollars and only went a little bit over (that includes parking but not ticket costs). I had a lot of fun, but I need to bring up what needs to be improved especially since I couldn't find a way to contact the organizer. The rules say you can't bring outside water bottles, but I saw plenty of people with them. It feels icky to not have a lot of free water available and to not encourage bringing water bottles. Not a lot of seating. The seating areas were spaced out, and I know it was limited on space, but that felt quite uncomfortable. Also most of the vendors did not offer napkins, so plan on bringing your own. Someone offered me a WetOnes and I felt so silly for not thinking of bringing some. Now, most importantly, here's something you should bring with you: toilet paper. Hand sanitizer. Whoever organized this event did not book enough portajohns, and most didn't have toilet paper in them because they ran out. Then, when I went to wash my hands: all the stations were out of water!! This is incredible unsanitary for having an event where people are mostly eating with their hands! I hope the vendors had their own bathrooms with hand washing stations. This is the Fyre Fest of food. A complete scam. 12 dollars a ticket, ~15 to park. Every vendor is selling their Tyson chicken nuggets or re-heated dumplings for $20 for 6 pieces. $15 for a 16 Oz beer. Save your money, go elsewhere. read more

Nor worth it. With the parking and food cost, you could get much better food at a mid tier to fancy restaurant. You can't try multiple food stands because of the prohibitive cost. 90% of the food vendors were Asian and I was very disappointed about that. I thought there would be all kinds of food from LOCAL restaurants but it wasn't like that at all. No water available! Within the first hour of opening all water stations were empty and two hours later still empty. No handwashing after the restroom or before eating. I couldn't bring water into the site and there was no water I could buy! What kind of eating place offers no water whatsoever? Isn't this some kind of health violation? This was such a waste of money!!! I purchased 11 tickets for April 21st a Sunday. Saturday we had a bad storm come thru sooo everyone from Saturdays tickets could attend. Just getting parking was about an hour! Finally parked and walked into the park and went thru checking...WTH there were lines and lines and lines, never ending lines! It was a complete disaster! Lines 2 to 3 hours long!! We left! There was no walking room to even walk. We couldn't even tell where the lines ended for each of the booths! So disorganized and an epic failure! Organizers didnt care about the patrons just about their pockets in the end! WILL NEVER EVER ATTEND ANOTHER ONE!!! I'm writing this review as a complaint about the security. This festival was held at where the Dallas State Fair was held. Last year the fair was shot up in the food court. This year during foodieland at the same place, security didn't pat down anyone! This was the last Sunday in Dallas. Barely checked our tickets could've gotten in for free. This is not okay! A shooting leaving 2 dead in San Antonio at another festival. You all clearly have not learned A THING. PLEASE HIRE BETTER SECURITY. read more
