YOURE SAVING A BUCK OR TWO. This isnt your average organic or specialty shop. So they know youre busy, theres usually 2-3 cash registers open in the 10-15 lanes they have. So if youre in a rush, too bad. YOU WAIT WITH EVERYONE ELSE. Parking is always full on ANY GIVEN DAY HERE. So that shows you theres some sort of deals inside this establishment that worth the stop! You wont find the fancy organic stuff you get at other markets but they do have some healthy options depending what is healthy to you that is. Everything is boxed, packaged and isles are always filled! So thats good in my eyes sometimes. Overall your not going to find that super duper health food you need. Its all high in sodium and packed with FAT! Unless you opt for the rabbit food in the produce section! I get my condiments from here when I grill or little nic-nac stuff when I throw little get together with the friends. Beer is on sale always here too! JACKPOT! Since my office is near by we tend to get the fried or roasted chicken often, but never the wings they are dry and chewey and super gamey! YUCK! Get some fries too to wash down the chicken! Basically thats about it, no mac n cheese, no salads unless you want a prepackaged one. Other then that you're set! Food 4 Less has great prices. Kroger ice cream is good and Thrifty's ice cream is where it's at! Coffee creamer selection is nice. Service is decent. Inside is clean and this location has a large parking lot connected to the Target. Carts are well maintained and actually better than the Target carts lol. read more

I stopped by this Food 4 Less this morning to get some flowers that we'll be taking to my wife grandparents grave. It been a while since I came to this Food 4 Less like years just because I don't like the area. But I came today because it's close to my house and I figure they won't be busy in the early morning. I found parking easily near the front and when I walked in, the place looks different. The candies are near the front since it's almost Halloween and all the other snacks are there too. I looked at their ice cream but none stood out to me. I got some crunch and m&m chocolates along with a coke bottle. I saw the flowers and I thought they were reasonably priced. I had to attend a party and needed to place a last minute order. I called the Service Deli and spoke with a very friendly and professional young man named, Anthony. He assured me that he could accommodate my request even though it was a last minute order. When I went to pick it up it was ready on time! this has always been my Food 4 Less, but I have been very disappointed with the store. there are back to having long lines, with long wait time, dad doesn't agree with me when you are going to the store with children. This morning I went to pick up a few items and still there are no big cans of chili. The cashier, not sure if she was the manager, but she left me three different times during the time that I was checking out without saying a word or I'll be right back, she was very rude. Unfortunately this is the only Food 4 less accessible to my house. Today Friday at 7:15am, I was in need of carne ranchera for my job and I was in a hurry as I work all the way in Calabasas. So I go straight to the Carnicería and I saw no one in line, so I stood there for close to seven or eight minutes. There's this gentleman, chubby, with long hair walking inside the meat section, he sees me and ignored me, he walked by a couple of times and continues to ignore me. I finally called his attention and asked "can you please help me?" He looks at the time on the scale they use to weight meet and says to me "Dude we don't open until 8:00" And kept walking. Really? I always hit up Food 4 Less for having the best chip deals lol. I can't really say I go for anything else other than snacks and alcohol. The lines are ALWAYS long and slow checkout. It's usually not too bad here. The store is kept pretty clean and the cashiers and staff are always friendly. This is my go to neighborhood store. There's another Food 4 Less probably the same distance from or closer but for some reason I choose this one. Maybe it's because Target is in the same lot and I just LoveTarget! I love this Food 4 Less! Can't say that about the other two I have visited: 6th Street in Los Angeles and Chase St. in Panorama City... eek! Prices are good, stock is good (although the produce is usually very low on some items, but maybe because I usually go in the middle of the night). To start I really like Food4Less but this store is a disaster. My first time here and will never come back. The Deli didn't have prices lined up. The kiddo was too busy texting instead of getting me chicken meat. A customer had a Rottweiler mix in her shopping cart with 2 young kids while shopping. No offense. I have a Rottweiler too but don't bring him grocery shopping. A water bottle fell out of the 24 pack and they scanned that too. Yes I asked for a refund. Advise. I usually only come here for two things: meat and chicken. When I go, (night time), it's not too packed but it still takes forever to checkout :( It's not very clean but not too bad. Nice clean store overall with a pretty friendly staff. Alicia is usually the checker I look for because she's always very friendly and seems to always be in a good mood. Also I want to add that Raúl's ability to remember the EXACT location of an item is rather impressive; gave me the Aisle, side of the aisle, the item next to the one I was looking for and then told me whether it was on the top or bottom part of the shelf. After finding the pasta I was looking for I then asked another young man with glasses whose name I couldn't catch (no name badge) and he came out with the same trick of the trade as Raúl, EXACT location of an item with all the other extra details to help find it. They are the sister company of Ralphs...Kroeger. They have most of the stuff as in Ralphs. Some stuff they don't carry because no one has requested it, Supply and demand. They do now have a vast selection of K-Cups and Beer like various IPA. Their prices are lower than their sister company even without a Ralph's card. Their aisles are confusing though. They need to change that up; hence, this is a contributing factors to their 3 stars; but I am starting to see this a lot in my many stores like Vons and Ralphs. Their bathrooms are disturbing vandalized. Dirty most of the time. This is another contributing factor of it's rating. The people that work their are friendly depending on what time you come in. They are not as friendly or comforting as Ralphs or Vons stores. If you are looking for some K-Cups or beers you would usually find at Ralphs or any other Kroeger products. They are there. read more

This Food 4 Less is the one my family visits the most and I can definitely tell why. Visiting a Food 4 Less can be pretty crazy because of their awesome deals and somewhat ridiculous clientele. This Food 4 Less was remodeled a while back and I have to say I am pretty happy with the changes. The produce section is pretty big, the meat counter is always well stocked, and the store isn't as overwhelming as others. Location It is located in the same lot as Payless, Target, and Big Lots. Even though there are a lot of surrounding businesses there is always parking. Employees At this particular location I always seem to have a positive encounter with the staff; the men working the meat counter are always patient and willing to answer my questions, the cashiers tend to ask me about my day and make checking out a little less impersonal. Tip Don't smash the eggs! If you're going to visit Food 4 Less over the weekend make sure to go early to avoid the crowd. read more

Okay! First off this place has horrible maintenance! I fell on their uneven floor the other day with my 1 year old daughter in my arms. I looked to the floor where I slipped and there was so much patching. Not one worker nearby asked if I was okay or filed a proper report. I brushed it off and continued shopping but I was in so much pain. Thinking that was the end of it, I go to the registers to pay and the cashier named CLAUDIA was so rude ! Extremely rude! She didn't make eye contact at all, was brash and hasty. She was just not not in the mood. I'm about to swipe my card and I let her know her perfume smells wonderful! And she replies while waving her hand at me .."yeah, yeah, just swipe the card" still not making eye contact. I felt so embarrassed in front of other customers. Everything is everywhere and it is not very organized. I guess that is all food for less stores though. This one has a parking issue and the kicker is a doozie: Michael wanted chicken wings for New Years. I was like OK. Stopped at this food for less and after circling for a while I find a bin with boxes in it with pictures of chickens on the outside. In the bin were two signs, one said shrimp the other said frozen chicken wings. I was like yeah, I hit the jackpot cause there were bags of what was obviously shrimp and the boxes with the chicken pictures. Unfortunately, the box was all in Spanish and I could not find a word in English on the whole box. Sadly, I do not speak or read in Spanish. I got home and handed Micheal the box and asked him if it was chicken wings. He looked at it a moment and started laughing. It was not chicken wings, it was a chicken cut in quarters. I guess they knew it was a big football weekend and gringos would be looking for chicken wings so they put boxes of frozen chicken and put up a sign that said chicken wings. I don't really go here much but we were in the area so we stopped by, I've been probably been here about 4 times. What I like about this particular store is even though it's at the same location as a target , Ross, and Payless shoes, it has its own parking lot which is never that packed you can easily find a parking spot even have multiple parking spaces to choose from. The store itself is clean. But what totally won me over was that the shopping carts they don't have the typical one seat sitting space for your baby the carts have TWO spots to sit your baby/toddler in which is very convenient for people like me that have 2 babies close in age & for parents with twins. I wish other food 4 less carts we're like that, it's a big help for when you don't want to unload then load the stroller from your car / be pushing around a stroller while your husband pushes around the cart. read more

I rarely post reviews and although I have nothing bad to say about the workers at this location, I felt it was my duty to warn future customers that come here regarding stealing out of your shopping cart. On Saturday October 13th at approximately 8:15am, I headed to buy some "pan dulce" and some milk. I ended up shopping for other items but while I was filling my bag with sweat bread an older lady who looked to be in her late 50's started grabbing bread with her bare hands and squeezing the bread. She proceeded to tell me that I should not take any of that bread home. I briefly acknowledge her but proceeded to the rest of my shopping. When I was done, I reached over for my phone that had my check card, driver's license and credit card. I noticed I did not have it with me. I had briefly set my phone and keys on the shopping cart and the last time i remember having it was when I was selecting my bread. I came to understand that while the lady was distracting me, another lady quickly stole my cell phone. They were not going for anything other than my phone. I waited too long with the manager who was checking cameras and lost time in going to try to report my phone and try to track it. By the time I got home and called TMobile, the con artist had taken the sim card and my phone was not traceable any more. I learned a tough lesson. I have heard of a similar thing happen next door at Target. Apparently older Latina females will distract shoppers while reaching into your shopping cart should they see something of value. This careless mistake on my part costed me $750 as I will need to pay for another phone but it's the videos and pictures that I had yet to back up that I will not get back. PLEASE BE VIGILANT AND DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES UNATTENDED AT THIS STORE. read more

my favorite grocery store to go to. the employees always smile at me. when I go early in the morning the workers always greet me and say good morning . the lady stocking the bread is very nice and smiles. for some reason this store is a lot better than the one in sylmar. I live closer to the Sylmar store but I prefer to go to the one on osborne. the quality of produce is better and so is the variety and selection of products. I really appreciate the people that work in this food 4 less. I love to do my grocery shopping here and it's always a nice experience. I would suggest going here and not the one in sylmar. read more

CHEATERS!!!! they are a scamming group of market chains with HORRIBLE customer service--make sure that if you buy sale items that you get what you pay for. 15.99 lb turkey is not a 16 lb turkey unless the AD mentions that it will round up or down. I was cheated by being charged the next teir price (16-20lbs) for my 15.99 lb turkey. Fellow YELPERS DO NOT TRUST THESE MARKET CHAINS. MAke them pay for cheating their customers! End of story...i went back to fight for the right price--nope they did not give it to me i had to exchange my 15.99 turkey for a 15.91lb turkey with a ripped outer covering at the 10-15 lb tier price. plus...they made it seem as if they were doing me a favor. read more
