No welcome or asking if we had any questions as we gazed at the menu - just stood there patiently waiting to take our order. My husband opted for the smashburger and I ordered the crispy chicken. We ordered fries and the fried pickles to share. Food came out relatively fast and both the fries and pickles were generous - definitely enough to share and we actually ended up taking most of the pickles home (they reheat perfectly in the air fryer). The burger and sandwich were both good and will definitely be back to try something else next time!

Here's a polished version of your description:…read more A genuine vintage fine-dining experience can be found at The Vine. Greeted by friendly staff the moment you walk through the door of what was once a thriving bank, stepping inside feels like traveling back in time. The century-old building has retained much of its historic charm while creating a unique and inviting dining atmosphere. You won't find safety deposit boxes in the old bank vault anymore. Instead, the vault has been transformed into an intimate dining space, complete with vintage tables and chairs. Wine bottles lining the walls add to the ambiance and whet the appetite, while the distinctive setting creates a perfect balance of relaxed comfort and fine dining elegance. The combination of history, atmosphere, exceptional service, and fine cuisine makes The Vine one of Elkhart's most memorable dining destinations. (Nancy Nicholas)
