i have been shopping here frequently over the past few years. however the last 2 times i have shopped here i have encountered an incorrect charge on a item i purchased at the deli dept. it was a very small nominal error but i asked the mgr to reimburse me that small amount which he refused unless i return the item with the receipt which i certainly was not going to effort to do. recently when i presented a coupon for an item it became a whole ordeal to get it approved. good selection but they certainly could learn from trader joe's on good customer relations. read more

Came here week of December 17 and the round iceberg lettuce price was $5.99. I put it back refused to pay such an inflated price. Went to Trader Joe's the next day and got the same whole iceberg lettuce for $1.99. read more

The deli customer service is scquizzitezzo! They make chicken cutlets are divine. Aggressive on the Mayonnaise, Muenster cheese, salt and pepper and oil and vinegar. Superior to Piccolo Sogno restaurant in northeast Flushing. read more

Always willing to help me find what I need and if they dont have it, they do their best to get it. Only supermarket with American grocerey left in Flushing. Big time store with a large selection of produce, dairy, bread and grocery. Big store but with a small time family feel. I love this place. read more

Good supermarket but a little smaller. A few different items and decent prices. Decent service and speed and some cheaper brands but also some good ones too. Not too many kinds of vegetables or fruits but a few and in pretty good condition. Would go again and update after awhile. read more

Been to this market several times throughout the years. Unfortunately, I will say many of the workers are unfriendly/unhelpful. I do feel some of the workers are less kind to customers of certain races. Was here a few months ago and witnessed one of the workers (Younger Male wearing a Red Bandana and all black outfit) outside by the bottle recycle machine shove an elderly Asian Woman. She approached him for assistance. He shoved her hard enough that she fell over onto the floor. There were other elderly women standing by her so I quickly went inside the store looking for help as I was scared because he stood there staring at those who witnessed it. The woman was unable to communicate in English making it difficult to assist her. When I approached the customer service desk where two Middle aged Men were standing (Manager or Supervisor possibly?) The two of them ignored me the entire time while they chatted away. Stood there seeking help and they did not give me time of day. Luckily the woman he shoved got up and was thankfully able to walk away without needing medical assistance. If that were me, I would have called the cops and had that disgusting worker arrested. Another witness informed me she would make a complaint about the employee. I have not gone back since, but I am hopeful he was fired. read more

I wish they would closer later than 9pm. This is one of the few non-Asian/non cultural grocery store in flushing apart from Target in Skyview Mall which is always insanely crowded. I come here when I crave for ice cream. The Asian grocery stores in Flushing do not have normal flavors like vanilla or cookie dough, they only sell the Asians flavors like red beans or green tea. This grocery store is big, it has a pretty good selection of items (fruits/vegetables, bakery, meat, dairy, dry goods) and reasonably priced. They carry normal Americans groceries you'd find in other typical grocery store. You'd be surprise how difficult it is to find Land O'Lakes butter in Flushing! I come here to buy non-asian foods and for their sales. Their frozen food section is amazing and there is always sales on something in that section. I especially like their dairy selections and ICE CREAM!!! Oh be warn their milk and eggs are pretty expensive here. Their produce aisle is great but selective. There isn't a lot to choose from but they do have prepackaged salads and fruits. Their produce is fresh and very very healthy. Sometimes they sell a certain produce and sometimes you don't see them selling it the next week. Their American snacks options are amazing. This supermarket is the only market in the area that sells Hispanic snacks and groceries. They also have a large bread selection that sells any type of bread and bagels that you want. Their deli sells cheese, meat, and whatever a typical deli sells. They also sell premade lunches now i.e. sandwiches, salads, chicken wings, etc. Pasta and breakfast aisles are huge and amazing. Lots of pasta and cereal choices to choose from. Their meat selection are limited and small, but they sell decent packaged meats from beef to turkey. The best part of this supermarket is their frozen food aisle. Love their cheese, yogurt, frozen dinner, frozen foods, ICE CREAM, and tortillas that they sell. The only supermarket in the area that sells different type of cheeses and ice creams. The Asian supermarkets doesn't sell different types of cheese and American type ice creams. Overall I love this supermarket but I only come here when there is a sale or need cheese for a recipe or craving ICE CREAM! Oh this supermarket doesn't carry Ben and Jerry's ice cream. They sell Haagan Daz, Breyers, Blue Bunny, Krasdale, and other brands. Otherwise it is pretty pricey as compare to the Asian supermarkets in the area. Ok, living in Flushing sucks when it comes to a decent supermarket. There are NO decent supermarkets in the immediate area. I mean ones that have EVERYTHING you need. Food Plus is probably as close as it gets to a decent supermarket. Unfortunately it is small, so they don't stock everything you need. But here is the run down. The meat is fairly a good selection. Better than Met Food not too far away, but not nearly as extensive as Western Beef. The produce is small, but good nonetheless. They have a decent grocery section. WAY better than Met Food. The dairy and the frozen are small. They share an aisle so you get half of what you would at a bigger supermarket. It is easy to walk to, they have good hours and if your driving, they have a parking lot in the back. The prices are average. And the employees seem to be nice. The deli is good, and they even make sandwiches for lunch. Awesome! read more

As mentioned, it is the only supermarket in the vicinity to carry American products. I usually bypass the produce because all of the Asian markets have more variety and are usually fresher and cheaper. If you need deli items, this is the only place in the neighborhood that carries a full range cold cuts and cheese. They don't even attempt to compete with other markets for fresh fish - there is none. The bread selection is OK and they always have pita. I appreciate that they carry large size plain yogurt. No other store - including premium markets offer this. A fair ice cream selection, as mentioned. My experience with the cashiers has been largely positive. They seem to make consistently good choices as to who they hire. Most are pleasant, patient, and helpful. They are the reason for the third star in my overall rating. I do wish they would finally fix the rear entrance door as it has not worked for years! It is what it is. Cannot compare it to the masterful, H-Mart on Francis Lewis or Fairway - which is my overall favorite grocery shopping experience. read more

The supermarket itself is decent, but too small. It does not offer as many products as I would like it to. I definitely like their new deli section though. They offer pre-made sandwiches and salads that are reasonably priced. I would have given this place a higher rating if it were not for the annoying Caucasian manager who works there. He's this heavy set man who acts very inappropriately whenever I enter the supermarket. Every time I enter the supermarket, I swear, within five minutes or less, I always find him standing near me. He always whistles or hums to try to get my attention. Whenever I see him, I always scowl and walk the other way. I do this every single time, yet he still cannot take the hint. Every time I am at the checkout line, he always walks over and stands at my checkout line to try to bag my groceries. I always ignore him. I don't know what else I could do to get him to stop bothering me. He makes my shopping experience very uncomfortable. I wish he would grow up and act professional. I would shop at this supermarket more often if he wasn't such a nuisance. read more

This is obviously a clean-er place comparing to other supermarkets around this area. However, I like to direct your attention to two points : 1. Most produce are overpriced 2. The spanish clerk in grocery cold cut counter was nasty, I was there this morning, he saw me stood in front of him, he just walk away, when I tried to call him, he answered: are u blind?! I have something burned inside. Only non-Asian supermarket left in the neighborhood. They have a pretty good selection of items and you should be able to get most of your grocery shopping done. Sometime the register lines are ridiculous and people don't understand the meaning of "10 items or less". But they make that up with the attitudes of the staff. The staff are very helpful and assuming that the store is not too busy they will often lead you to the item you are looking for. read more

It happened today morning I parked my car at the park lot of the market, but first I went cross the street to Walgreens for my medication and on my way back to make my shopping as usual my car was towed already. The guy said to me that its nothing personal he receive a call from one of the manager to towed my car. I can't understand how they can do this went I have been a customer for many years everyone knows me and besides this manager who ever he is I haven't even seen him around the market. I talked to him to see if he can stop the order of towing my car even that I did apologize to him and I was customer for almost 15 years, he didn't care much he open his window from the second floor and yelled at me saying that it's not his problem at all. This car is a NYPD my son's car They didn't care at all ...I hope they never need a help from them NYPD ..my son going to make sure went they call for help to them ...let's see if the NYPD will care too.. for now I know they lost a customer never go back at all..beside I got poison one time because there chicken is always in bad condition . I had proof went I went to the hospital very bad because this chicken was rye..and make sure before look at the date most of the time the product already expired..my mom has returned chicken so many times ..I do not recommend the meat from this market at all. read more
