Mrs. K. asked what we were doing for lunch. "What would you like?" "How about sandwiches?" and I…read morereplied, "How about Publix subs?" "YES!" We lived in Florida for years and so we know, Publix subs are the best so we headed here and parked. This is one of the very new refurbished Publix layouts with the sub station right at the front. Super easy and I had great service today from the sub crew. Unwrapping them ten minutes later and they were, of course, awesome. Fresh bread. Crisp veggies. Made exactly as requested and absolutely delicious! We also split a big can of Arizona Iced Tea and Publix still sells these for 99 cents. How can you NOT love Publix? I happen to be in the area and I remembered there was a Publix across from a Whole Foods shopping…read morearea and since I was on that side of the street, the Publix was my best choice as this is a busy little intersection off Stratford Rd and Miller St. Publix in this location is an unusual structure. If you are in the outside parking area, you look up and you see the Publix is on what appears to be the second floor so it's a little confusing as to how to get to the store itself. There are stairs if you want to go that route or you can take an elevator which is also located on that side parking area that takes you directly into the grocery store. They also have an inner parking area underneath Publix with more parking area and there is an elevator there as well. The idea is that you can shop and then take a large elevator that can accommodate your grocery cart for your trip on the way down to your car. Other than that, it's set up like any other Publix grocery store. I came in primarily to get pet food, but it's hard to resist the other items in the store. I got hung up looking at the delicious food in the bakery and deli area. I ended up getting bread, fresh made asiago bagels and a homemade cheese bread. Oh yea, I almost forgot the pet food! There is a small section but some good choices for kitty or canine. I noted The store is clean and the staff are friendly. After checkout, I made my way to this huge elevator that holds two or three carts so no problem getting my grocery cart in there for my trip downstairs to get to my car. A little confusing but once you get the hang of it, you're good to go.

We really like Lowes Foods and while we typically either go to the Lewisville, Robin Hood or…read moreClemmons locations. We were in the Bermuda Run area today so, we decided to stop in. We had looked through the Lowes app to see the weekly specials and wanted to pick up some of the ribeye steaks which were on sale. But we were only able to see three packages in the cooler at about 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. The rest of our shopping experience was fine as we picked up a few items but it really got uncomfortable when we went to the check stand. Our cashier began ringing up our order and we watched the computer screen to ensure the items rang up correctly. She got to the end of the order and we questioned why the beer we picked up did not ring up correctly when they were clearly marked down $2.00 for two Carolina based beers. This is the ongoing special when items are made in the state of North Carolina. We informed our cashier, who may have been training about the price discrepancy and she was quick to ask the person bagging our groceries. He didn't know either and approached one of the three women employees who were talking at the front of the store. All three women came over to the check stand and we told them the beer wasn't ringing up correctly. We noticed none of them made eye contact and began whispering to each other before one of the ladies began walking back to the beer aisle. While she was gone the four other employees stood there and it felt uncomfortable. After a couple of minutes she walked back to the register and began whispering to the other women. There was no communication to us at all, she just began punching in the discount which reduced our total. After I removed my credit card I was asked if I wanted cash back to which I replied no. I was told I was charged the original total and I was getting $2.14 back in cash. I did not ask or do anything to get cash back. I just wanted to pay what was owed with my credit card and not receive any change back but I did, it was strange. Honestly was the wait worth $2.00, no. Was the attitude and response by the employees justified, no. It is really frustrating when you go to any business and the items do not ring up correctly. We just wanted to get in and get out and these women made it feel like it was our fault the item didn't ring up correctly. Our customer service experience at the other Lowes are always above average when compared to other grocery stores but that was absolutely not our experience today. We will not be returning to the Bermuda Run Lowes.

Lowes Foods is on the level of a Harris Teeter. Good quality products and some higher end items…read more Good beer selection, with local\regional craft beers also available. They also have a beer station where you can fill up growlers. Wine selection is decent, better than most grocery stores. As you can tell, beer and wine selections are something I make a priority. :-) Deli section is decent. Store is clean. Prices are not Wal-Mart Grocery cheep but not terrible. Place has self checkout which is a must these days.

Another great store, Trader Joe's is small, but well stocked, especially with hard to find items!…read more They have have more staff on hand working and helping customers than any store I've ever been to. And if you need help, their workers are so polite, and happy to help you! We stopped in needing to buy some specialty ingredient my wife was looking for to bake some treats and ended up leaving with $50 worth of goods. They offer every you can find in a traditional store, just on a smaller scale, with less brand selection. They even have a beer and wine section, an amazing floral section, and great pricing on fresh meats. The store was packed when we stopped in, but easy to many Sur and even when we got to the front, there were lines at all the registers, but they moved smoothly and quickly, I don't think we waited more than 2 or 3 minutes before we were checking out. I don't get to them often, but Trader Joe's always amaze me! Though we have on in north Greensboro, I do wish we had one closer to the High point area. I could easily see TJ's becoming my go to grocery store.

Crowded, parking is insane, people shopping are rude or oblivious of anything other than their own selfish wants. This may be what some think is shopping but I am positive I'm not the only one who feels like this place is a joke and gone way downhill from its days of old. Would rather support the local markets, farmers markets and places than this corporate chain operation. Understand it but sure don't get it. There are way less stressful shopping places than this. What a trainwreck. 2.5 Stars rounded up instead of down 01154
