This is the 2nd time in less than a week I have gone to Food Lion in Milton and left with little produce. No fresh green beans, 2 cucumbers on the shelves, many of the produce shelves were empty, many of the fruit displays empty. A few fresh pears but they were very old. About the last 4 times I've gone NO COTTAGE CHEESE of any kind, no frozen baby peas except Food Lion brand and I won't eat those. I have to say that there was slim pickens the last 2 days I brought 3 bags expecting to fill them and left with one 3/4 full and a $50 bill! Going to Redners from now on and that store is not good most of the time also! Get with it Food Lion! You are the only mini supermarket in this area of town!!! read more

Bought ground beef yesterday, going to make some meatloaf the next day . When I was taking the meat out I noticed that graying but only a day old cooked it anyway. Onions, peppers, salt pepper and tomatoes yum but I couldn't eat it no taste of meatloaf had to throw it away the taste was not there only the smell of bad meat read more

Rather tired of feeling as if this place is run by high schoolers and halfway house residents. NOT the staff, but management. Example: this light has been flashing for at least three weeks. Either get it repaired, or disconnect it. It's a matter of four minutes and a letter. Shame on the management team for not addressing this immediately, let alone shy of a month after it started. My favorite aspect of the store, though, are the people in the deli! I'm always greeted warmly, quickly, and sincerely. I can't ask for better service! Great store. Prices are reasonable and the store is very clean. Produce is always fresh. There organics are also reasonably priced. It is worth driving from Lewes to save from the price hikes that are taking place closer to the beach. We easily save $50 each on our twice weekly shopping trips. The staff seems a little stressed and overworked, but are otherwise helpful. Go here instead of the beach stores you won't be disappointed. read more

Honestly, if you're staying in Milton, DE there aren't many choices for grocery shopping. It's not the nicest Food Lion I've been in, but it was adequate, had gluten free options and the staff was pleasant. If you're vacationing in the area you'll be able to get the essentials you need. read more

I love this particular Food Lion! It's on my way home from work so it's very convenient to stop in the mornings (I'm a Night Shift worker). I live closer to the Milford Food Lion but they are not as clean as Milton. The employees in Milton have always been very friendly and helpful. read more

I am going to say very impressed with food lion in Milton they have many employees and mgrs and good selection and more cashiers than Walmart. They seem to be very well staffed and more are always busy on floor. read more

While it is true FoodLion has had some issues in the past, I've noticed an incredible change in the past year. My standards are high and right now, the employees in place are most helpful and shelves are stocked consistently. VERY SATISFIED. Deli is the best! Their rotisserie chicken is the best I've found in the area, including Lewes area. I'll buy some canned goods , never meat or produce. Got very sick on sausage that I believe was frozen , thawed during a power outage and refrozen....... not a very friendly place.......we do the drive to Acme............a shame that it's the only supermarket in town.......... read more

About half of the produce is rotten. Lunch meat has a 3 day shelf life. One of the cashiers at the check out has yet to greet me when I check out. I mean not a word. Ask for help here n they'll look at you like you're wearing prison stripes. This Is the only grocery store in Milton but I think I will start driving the half hour to the next nearest one so I dont have to deal with these rude employees. read more

The overall experience of this store has changed significantly in the past few years....great selections, great sales and for the most part the people who work in this store are helpful and pleasant. More and more I find myself returning to this store to shop versus driving up to the Walmart...I have had no issues with the quality of their meats or produce and I can say that if I did see something that wasn't good, I am pretty sure it would be handled promptly. Its nice to have a neighborhood store that is trying to be better and seems to really care about the overall experience. There will always be issues..no one place is perfect...but at least i know they are striving to do and be better. read more
