I went in for Fried Chicken. they had 2 that you could tell had been there for awhile the lids weren't even on. I ask rhe gentlemen if he was going to be doing anymore he said no it's not moving today. Then said they have only been out there two hours. First of all who wants dried up chicken that has been sitting there two hours. But thank you for doing me a big favor Went to Redners in Georgetown and got my chicken fresh. when ai got home it was still hout and delicious. Wonderful store, wonderful employees. Very helpful, on the phone with orders, meat and deli department,floral department, and finding general items. Manager has done a great job hiring competent,compassionate, and pleasant employees. Working in the beach area with a lot of tourists who sometimes leave their manners at home sometimes push the patience of anyone. So tourist need to treat this area, the environment, people, businesses and employees, as if it is there own home town or city. I am an elderly lady and came to this area as a student, then an employee, then an educator, and then a homeowner and part of the most gorgeous community on earth. Self check out needs to call the HT computer dept, when the machine errors, it says "A problem exists, HELP IS ON THE WAY ". No it's not, it should say, "GO GET HELP", the machine doesn't notify anyone. I stood there waiting and no one came to help. read more

Tricked me into opening an account, by showing a product I wanted with a 2-for-the-price-of-1 offer. In fact there was no such offer. And furthermore, the product was not available online. Now there is no way to close my account. The website doesn't make that possible. All they have are dire warnings about all the things I'll miss out on if I close the account. The most pleasant shopping experience. The store is impeccably clean and accessible and the employees are knowledgeable and accommodating. The butchers and associates are like old school butchers that were on just about every corner in Philadelphia in the 60's and 70's where I grew up. Very disappointed in this store. Before you even enter the store, there are no carts where they should be and that area is filthy and stinks. Once you run back to the parking lot to get a cart, you enter the store to a produce dept that often has items that are not very fresh. The rest of the store isn't too bad but is often not very well stocked. I hope there will be some improvements. read more

Compared to other grocery stores the prices are high but if you follow specials and sales, makes it great. So much variety, lots of ethnic as well as usual brands, wonderful produce, deli, cheeses. Fri. is sub special day, and large for $6. Gas discount with card is very competitive. read more

I've tried every grocery store in this area and the produce just doesn't "cut the mustard". In the DC area a Harris Teeter is a great shopping experience so I was elated when I found out there was one close to Milford. I gave one star for the employees help and one star for location. read more

I agree, not a very nice store. The cashiers try hard but the management is sub-par. I ask the asst. store mrg. to honor a $1.00 I found inside a box of breath right strips I was purchasing. The coupon was over a year past expiration. If you are willing to sell me an old box of product than you could at leasth onor the coupon. I have been going to this Harris Teeter for 7 yrs. specifically for Breath Right strips. The type I need is not carried anywhere else. No, not Giant, Walgreens, Walmart or any other retail store. So, every month I go to Harris Teeter for a box of 30. Each month the cashier points out to me that the coupon is expired and each month I explain that its always expired. The store mrg. comes over and approves it for me. After all, I just picked it up off your selves. Today, "Andy" the asst. store mrg. would not approve it. Everything was explained to him but he made NO effort to help me. I gave Andy my Vic card. I will no longer be shopping at Harris Teeter in Millsboro. I just reviewed my checking acct. from 2017. I spent over $8,000 last year in your Millsboro store. This is a small town and believe it or not it matters when a store mistreats a good customer. Don't you think it would have been smart to give me my $1.00? read more

Harris Teeter provides an upscale grocery shopping experience at the beach. The store looks really good. They offer a variety of fresh and prepared foods. My husband stopped in to purchase clam chowder soup, which he enjoyed. read more

Large supermarket chain out here in Delaware. Came here to pick up groceries for our vacation rental place and they had everything we need. Prices were average for the items we needed though I wish they had more items on sale. Staff was friendly in helping guide us to the right aisles that we needed. read more

Ive worked for acme for 20 years and raised three kids.Shopping every week you would think Im an expert.WELL AN EXPERTS OPINION IS THIS Harris teeter has chicken breast all the time 1.99 lb in chef case.They have great deals on produce and there rolls and cinnamon buns are priced great and fresh.Ialways pay 3.39 for a gallon of milk and get a pound of cheese for 4.99 also great low sodium ham 5.99 , chicken breasts already baked are 4.99 every tues.Try getting better food and deals some place else.You Won t ! I was in today and got $250 dollars worth of food for my child's graduation party. At the register after bagging my own groceries, I noticed my wallet wasn't with me. I live 10 to 15mins away depending on traffic apologized multiple times, had the transaction suspended and mentioned i would be back within 20 minutes to a half an hour tops, would they please put my cart into a cooler in the back. The manager was a younger male who at 1st wanted to grab only my cold items and hold them off but I much rather not have the potential of lost product nor someone digging through my groceries to be quite honest. So again asked that the whole cart just be put away for kess than 30 minutes. He finally agreed and did put my cart away. I arrived back in a timely manner being that i just grabbed out of our emergency cash stash not having the time to search for my wallet. My bill was then paid in full and the manager mentioned walked me back to the deli where he put my groceries. An employee pushed my cart into the main store where the cold items were just sitting out and my then paid for groceries were also left unattended. I did not want them left out and mentioned this from the begin of having to run back home and get money and that i would absolutely re-shop for everything if my cart wasn't put away as asked. In then told "well its still kinda cold" "i would have to call someone because YOU CAN'T RETURN THEM NOW" hmmmm wonder how legal that statement was. I can't return my paid for in cash groceries and reshop for the items due to your employees negligence? In turn it was my own fault forgetting my wallet. However customer service is terrible the WORST management I've experienced and I would have just left my cart and not been back for the items had i known they would have been left out to sit like anyone else in the world. My family has been shopping at this Harris Teeter for the past 6 years. The experience we have have had has been nothing but positive. The staff is friendly, helpful & the store is always kept clean. They have great weekly specials & the best selection of items. They also offer a store card that gives you more discounts, a $50.00 purchase gives you a $50 gas card for $40 & they honor rain checks much longer than other stores in the area. read more
