When I first moved here I visited several different local liquor stores including Banks in Millville before I finally discovered this local store, which is now my local favorite. I really like the layout and inventory of this store. The store has a new modern feel to the store. They have a wide selection of beer, spirits, wine and related items. I initially enjoyed their 15% case wine discount off 12 bottles of wine, which I have purchased almost weekly over the past year or so. I also recently joined their frequent customer club, which also added an additional $10 discount. The $10 frequent customer discount is in addition to their 15% discount off case wine. I will continue to shop here to enjoy both discounts. This location is most conveniently located near my home. I also like Total Wine, since I can sometimes enjoy their 20% discount off 12-18 bottles of direct wines. In both cases I can mix and match my wine choices. Since I travel a lot I plan to visit some other Total Wine store locations. More to come regarding liquor stores, since I do enjoy my spirits, wine and beer. read more

This is one of the pricier liquor stores in the area, probably due to its location, which is very convenient on Rt 1 in Bethany Beach. Big store with wide selections. i found some obscure liqueurs here that I couldn't find anywhere else. read more

I hate to write a bad review for a local business but beach liquors sold me something kind of gross and they should stop. Along with my other beer purchases I bought a grab bag of 3 beers for $4. The bag included a hard seltzer, a pineapple natty ice, and a landshark tall boi. Right before I started to sip the landshark I noticed something in the rim of the top of the can. It looked like a colony of mold. It was nasty and it makes me wonder where they put this beer before selling it. I checked and it wasn't expired so it's not like it was there forever. Really large store, convenient location right off the highway and near Sea Colony, and helpful employees that make good suggestions. My sister had no clue what to get (multiple times), but after describing what she usually tries and what she likes, she was suggested things that she really enjoyed. Prices are on par with what you'd expect for the touristy location. They have a rewards program you can join, which is always nice. I really liked trying new things with their grab bags where you get three random drinks for $4, but I haven't seen them in a while. If the management reads these reviews, please bring them back!! Anyhow, definitely a good place in my book. Selection is great. I try something new every time I go here, and I haven't run out of options yet. While it is a rather small store, they carry a great selection. We have found many awesome and unique craft beers here, not carried anywhere else in the area. The staff is always helpful and they offer great suggestions when you want to try something new. It's a bit of a pain to get in and out of the parking lot though. read more

BEST WINE SHOP IN AREA. In terms of selection, pricing, service and ambiance, this is one of the two best wine shops I know of in the Bethany Beach-Fenwick Island-Ocean City area (Liquid Assets is #2, FYI). Storage is admirable, with wines of quality displayed on their sides, in their own, windowless, well-air-conditioned room -- and the most valued bottles in yet another, 55F cold room. Pricing is fair, which is remarkable given its location. It's not as well-stocked as some larger shops in DC, Wilmington or the Jersey side of Philly, but hey -- this is the beach! I do wish they had a knowledgeable wine guy at the store all the time, but understand this isn't realistic in the off-season. When he's there, he gives savvy advice. All in all, considering its pricey location (right on Route 1 in Bethany) and narrower customer base, Beach Liquors easily merits five stars from this confessed wine geek. read more

They are the closet liquor store to where we stay in Bethany, they do have a nice selection, but are pricey. I have an issue with the fact the employees watched me walk in with my Service Dog and make my purchase before telling me that I needed to leave and proceeded to grill me about the service she provided. If you haven't been into the new store, it's worth the visit. I was gobsmacked speechless at the extent they went to in their wine department. They have a temperature controlled wine room(55F) for the finest collection of wines anywhere here on Delmarva. Half of the rest of the store is dedicated to wines from all around the world with great selections from South America, France, Spain, California, Oregon, Washington State and other regions. There is vast assortment of liquor including an incredible assortment of Bourbons, Tequilas, Vodkas and Cognac. Great craft beers from all around the world are available in a walk-in refrigerator for browsing and serious buying. According to owner Mike there will be a Growler bar set up for take home crafts with a canning machine very soon. There are even great cigars in a humidor cabinet with some impressive bands displayed. Who ever does their buying really knows their stuff. Who ever designed this facility did an impressive job. Too bad there aren't more than 5 stars available. Homerun guys. read more

We own a beach house in SB and this is out go-to local joint. They have beer, wine and everything in between. They have an excellent wine selection as well. They staff are always friendly and alway check ID so don't dare bother if you're not of age. We are thrilled to have a store so close and convenient!! read more

Listen, I'm not going to bull sh*t you about this place. They don't have the lowest prices (they're pretty average) and they don't have the best selection (the store is actually pretty small.) They do get major points for being cool. The staff is usually nice and helpful which is a real talent when you consider how busy it can get especially when the influx of new visitors come in on the weekends. I'm not saying I stop here before I get to the beach house but, if duty calls.... They also get points for being the closest liquor store the beach. They are right on your walk to the shore if you're staying in Sea Colony or Middlesex. You can grab a six pack, throw it in your bag, and head straight down to the beach blanket. Yes sir, that's the life. All that being said, I'm probably the first person to review this store because who ever really heard of a liquor store that needed a thumbs up especially one near the beach. If this place was back home, I'd give it 3 stars. However, Delaware does not have a great distribution. If you are a Beer Advocate staying at Sea Colony you can get by with this selection. Maybe most importantly the IPAs are usually under 4 weeks old. Bells Two Hearted cans, Dirt Wolf bottles, fresh Goose Island IPA, and local Misspillion River can be found here. In bombers you will find Allagash if that is your thing. They also have a few beers available for growler fills. read more
