My email stated going forward we will only communicate via email as text messages are not good documentation for a $3K project (it is what he gave me without seeing the project). A week has past and no response. I had another very bad experience last year with another concrete person and Ramos seemed to follow the same path, so I am backing off. The $3K did not include materials. It is not a big job, and I have done this myself in past homes. As you can see in his response below that he never intended to follow-up yet lead me to believe he would send an estimate and to send him pictures. Why say that with no intention to follow-up. amazing how a negative review gets immediate attention.

Kyle and Felicia were very responsive to our request for a quote and Kyle came out right away and provided a drawing and showed us samples of the deck material. The price was very reasonable, so we agreed upon a date to begin the work. The crew arrived on time, and worked diligently over a couple of days. Mike, the supervisor, kept a good eye on everything and was very helpful throughout the process. He thoroughly inspected the work once it was all finished. Run away as fast as you can. Had victor and his crew do sidewalks, patio, and slab for garage…read more You would not believe the issues and the poor quality. Things like boot marks in the concrete. Not just one, many. Wheelbarrow tracks, etc. For the garage, the slab was so lopsided and was a rhombus, not a rectangle. The builder couldn't place the building. Victor ghosted us as soon as there were issues and never made it right. He also insisted on payment either in cash or wire. We sent a wire and the wire itself was flagged by the federal reserve and they wouldn't release the funds until he talked with them. Of course, this took some time and he was aggressive with us. Ended up finding a reputable concrete company and they had to come tear out Victor's shoddy work. When they did so, they noted several other issues we wouldn't have known about. For example, the rebar was minimal and it was all sunk to the bottom. They had laid it on the ground and poured over it. We watched them do it and didn't think at the time that, duh, the rebar should be "in" the concrete, not under it. Another issue was that the patio slab was boot attached to the home slab at all. It had already begun to drift. If you want a quick and terrible job that you will regret and spend time and energy trying to fix, hire SoTex. There is more to a job than just being able to have the lowest quote and, in this case, it really really matters.

So here…read morewe go again, they came out built a patio, a few months later it starts sinking, i spend 2 months trying to get it fixed, the crew comes out says it wasnt built right the first time, less than a year later it sinks again, i spend a few weeks trying to get ahold of someone. finally a guy named jessie comes out, says dont worry we will fix evertything, 4 weeks and crickets, spend a few weeks getting ahold of them again to find out jessie got fired now i am dealing with some luke guy. a few weeks later he finally comes out and looks says we need to fix it, brick are falling off the edge and there are vary obvious low spots and sinking. the next day, today, a guy shows up with a hammer and a bucket of sand because he was told to fix one little spot. I explain everything to him he says yea it is bad, actually while he is here he puts his hand on the edge of the patio and two more bricks FALL OFF. I try to get ahold of luke via text and phone. When he calls me back the guy that came out left and luke is vary dismissive, were gonig to fix it dont worry. Then he calls me back 20 mins later and starts to LECTURE me about not telling his crew what needs to be done he tells them, the spots he saw werent bad and they are going to do it but only contact him never talk to his crew, i explained i tried getting ahold of him while the guy was here but couldnt. Everyone on the phone keeps telling me dont worry weve been in business for forever, were not going anywhere, we have a 25 year warranty. Well build it right the first time, if you need to fix it dont make customers chase you down and fix it right the first time! there should never be a second time for trying to get this done. We are really regretting hiring them so far and would never recommend them. I hope to the gods they get it fixed right this time because I dont ever ever want to hear from or see a systempavers person again, but im not counting on it

Their crew showed up on time, fixed the problems that they had noted in their inspection of the foundation, and added pressure (I am not sure I am expressing or describing the work that they did correctly) to some of the piers that they installed. The crew that came was courteous and fast. The workers were cool. The left the concrete almost as they found it. I think, and I hope, that the problem with the foundation has been taken care of. I think time will tell, because the problem has been movement of the house, and they did the work last Friday, so it is too early to tell whether the house will move again in the near future. We'll see. They called to check whether I was satisfied with the work. And they asked me to update my review. I think it is fair to do so, because they came and did the work. But again, I really hope that the work will keep the house stable from here on. And they did all this without it costing me a cent, so they are honoring the warranty. I will be very happy is the house stays stable from here on.

We came to an agreement that Groundworks would repair the full driveway for a reduced cost and I am thrilled. They are coming out Friday, and we will see what happens, but I feel that Groundworks genuinely wanted to make me happy and accepted that their repair was not up to their standards. They were willing to accept the accountability for their part and negotiated in good faith. It took some time but I am happy with the resolution. Melinda

They showed up on the agreed-upon date and prepped the site, digging out excess dirt AND removing it, then laying base and tamping it by machine rather than trying to "stomp it in". They returned two days later (due to rain), set the wire mesh and poured the concrete. Couldn't be more pleased - they cleaned up their work area at the end of EACH day, and when they were done the site looked like it had always been that way.

Tony was pretty strange but the price was right so I booked them on a job I have going. It was supposed to be done on a Thursday morning. At the last minute, the morning of, he said they couldn't make it. When I expressed my frustration, he started lecturing me with Bible verses. I wasn't rude or loud, I was calm and professional. It was a little strange to have someone justify their incompetence and unprofessional behavior using the Bible. But I needed the job done so I sat and listened. He said they would come on Saturday. Well today no one showed and he wouldn't even answer the phone. I'm sure he has a bible verse to justify being an unprofessional liar too. But any way you look at it, he is clearly in the wrong and a coward. The prices are cheap because this is an awful business.
