Bought a gmc truck from this place and when I got a phone call for my first oil change to be scheduled I told them I was passing on making an appointment in Folsom because it's very far from where I live and the guy hangs up the phone on me. He calls back an hour later with the same questions and explanation and when I still tell him I'm not going there, he hangs up again! Now same day, another guy calls me and we chat about it and I explain still Folsom is far for me to drive up when Vacaville is close by - he hangs up on me as well! Zero respect from this dealership. 3 different phone calls, 2 different guys and they both hung up on me mid conversation. I'll never buy a truck from here again. Told Z on arrival my Sprinter doesn't pull up on KBB and will need manual appraisal. Asked him not to hold me hostage. Commenced to showing me wrong trim values from KBB/vAuto and auction numbers for wrong trim. I tried to walk. The GM then held my registration hostage as I tried to leave, argued about my payoff total and doubled down on the wrong appraisal numbers despite it being well known in the industry, while insulting the condition of my vehicle further. Took my car their first it's 60,000 mile check up. Over $3000 dollars later & keeping my car overnight I'm told I need brakes possible tire due to nail in tire & new wipers. An another $823 & luckily I said no. I couldn't afford anymore. I'm a 77 yrs old widow & was shocked at the $3454.00 bill. I knew it would be high but since my car is 2013 Cadillac with less than 60000 miles I thought cheaper than a new car. So after leaving I take my car to Les Schwab (family friend) to get my brakes. Told I DO NOT need new brakes. No where needing brakes at this time. They fixed my tire with nail. I don't need new tires & I don't need new wipers either. Left the shop with zero costs. Called FolsomGMC spoke with Mike manager? Said he'd investigate why I was told what I was told & he'd call me back. 4 hrs ago. Doubt he'll call. What's to say? I was so disappointed I have been taking my car only here since I moved up here. I thought they were an honest dealership. Maybe they're all like this. My last visit here. I'll find a reputable mechanic in the El Dorado Hills area. Just angry & disappointed. Makes me wonder if they actually did the list of things noted on my car. How would I know? Now that I don't have faith in them. I've learned my lesson. read more

***Final Update*** Ultimately, everything ended up working out for me, but it is because of Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista, NOT Folsom Buick GMC. After contacting me and apologizing and insisting they would work something out, they have not contacted me in 5 days. But now, please don't. I'm done. Long story short, I purchased a C8 Corvette and a GM Platinum service plan from Folsom Buick GMC. The day after the purchase, I reached out to Rich Willhoff at Abel Chevrolet to schedule a track alignment and brake fluid flush. He proceeded to tell me that the car I had just purchased was behind on maintenance and needed to be addressed or there could be warranty implications, including the warranty I had just purchased form Folsom Buick GMC. The maintenance was going to cost $1200. After not responding to my text messages, I posted my first Yelp review here and this did get their attention. Although, their response below shows that they still don't understand how to maintain this GM product. But this simultaneously gets worse and somewhat better (for me) at the same time. When Abel Chevrolet got the car up on the rack they discovered that the transmission was leaking. This was covered under the factory powertrain warranty and I no longer needed to pay for a transmission flush - because this needed to be done to fix the leak. So, the car was there for 3 days. They had to drop the entire powertrain out of the car to fix that which should have been caught by Folsom Buick before they sold the car. At the same time they found and fixed an air conditioning leak as well. Before purchasing this car, I had asked them if they would put it up on a lift for me to inspect it - and I got an excuse that nobody was around to do that. More importantly, they said, they have fully inspected the car and it is in perfect shape. This is where my good sense failed me - I believed that a GM dealer selling a GM product with a GM service plan could be trusted. Clearly, they cannot. Given I didn't have to come out of pocket to pay for any of this, I only lost the car for 3 days so that it could be repaired. But this could have been so much worse if I wasn't a track guy that needed to prepare the car for competition driving. I could have driven it around and voided the warranty until something on the car told me that service needed to be performed. Anyway, that didn't happen to me. However, it could happen to you. Clearly, they did not inspect this C8 Corvette well. Or maybe they did and just tried to offload it to someone who didn't ask for a private party inspection. Either way - I would never trust this dealer again. If I were you, I wouldn't trust that a pre-owned car from Folsom Buick GMC has truly been inspected. Pay for a PPI from a trusted 3rd party. read more

We brought our Yukon in and found out it needed a new transmission and new struts, which is never news you want to hear -- but the experience was handled with such professionalism and kindness. Khae was our service representative, and she was incredible from start to finish. She called me immediately once they confirmed the transmission issue, and then followed up again after they got the truck up on the rack and discovered the struts were completely shot.
