We had a very positive experience at Deruelle's Auto Sales! My wife and I talked with Steve the salesman and he was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. No high pressure to purchase just honest conversation about the vehicle and options. The next day we closed the deal on a 2020 Honda CRV Hybrid and we could not be happier! They were very helpful navigating all the DMV paperwork and the transaction was smooth. Nate(the owner) gave us a fair price on our old vehicle to top it off. If you are in the market for a good used vehicle at assortment of price points, make it a point to give them a visit! Highly recommended! read more

One month later and I'm very happy with my purchase of a used Toyota Corolla. Deruelle treats you like your family. Will definitely be repeating my business here and at least getting his valuable insight if I decide to buy new. read more

I was having them sell my car for me on consignment. They had a phone number and an email address to contact me and my partner. It took days to get any response or information out of them concerning my vehicle. They told us to expect the car to be sold within about 3 weeks, after 3 months we had to sell it to them for less than we were expecting. They were really friendly and had great attitudes, but I would never do business with them again. It now feels like everything they said was a guise. read more

Steve and Nate are the bomb. Amazing customer service. My fiance and I had a wonderful experience purchasing a truck. The process was stress free and pleasant. Both gentlemen were very thorough and knowledgeable. We found the exact truck that we wanted in tip-top shape at a fair price with excellent customer service and attention-to-detail. I highly recommend this dealership. You normally brace yourself going into a car dealer. You prepare mentally for the oncoming "pushy salesmen." Instead, we got friendly people who didn't try to push anything on us. They're helpful. They listen. They're accommodating. Thank you guys for being awesome...... read more

We saw the add for the Subaru we were looking for on Craigslist. After reading all the maintenance and required repair issues that were done at 81k and not required until 105k miles we decided to contact Nat and drove out of our way to see this car ! It was perfect and ran smooth as can be. We bought the car and feel so confident as Nate was professional and friendly as can be! We feel he went out of his way taking our Lexus for a ride to check a rattle I heard in the engine, and he and Steve figured out exactly what the rattle was and we are now able to get it fixed without second guessing the problem. We met the mechanic who works for Nate who did all the work and he assured us this was a good car! We left feeling 100% confident that even though it is a used car we got a "gem" ! Don't let the small lot and the office fool you! Nate knows his cars and I will not buy a car new or used from anyone else again. He personally selects only the best cars for his lot. Overall great car buying experience!!! read more

I give a BIG 5 STAR review to Deruelle's Auto shop and to Nate and Sierra. This family owed business is HONEST, which is hard to find in the industry!! They are passionate about what they do and they do it well. They provide the best quality cars around and sell them with the best customer service. Keep up the good work Deruelles-- You will have many more years of success! read more

We stopped by at random one day recently, just to look. We didn't buy, but we're very pleased with the service. Steve helped us and I must say he treated us like friends not a customer. He did not try to push us into buying something we didn't want and even gave us recommendations for types of trucks that would work for our budget and need that weren't on their lot. Go to Deruelles Auto Sales if you want a great car shopping experience. read more

After looking around on the internet I was surprised to find the best deal right here in my local area up the hill. It seemed that many of their used vehicles were of high quality and knowing that Nate has the service repair background I felt confident that he knows which used cars are best. And he helped with the finance to get the job done. I would definitely buy from Deruelle's again. read more

I wanted to give a big thank you to Sierra, Nate and the crew of Deruelle's. I bought a car from them last year and I was very happy with the service I received from the GM Jim. I had a problem with my cars door handle and Nate took me over to A1- Bumpers and the guys at A1 were able to help me and save money. I went back to Deruelle's with my daughter to get her a car and being a first time buyer have come into challenges. Either way I will tell everyone I know go see Nate, Sierra and Steve they will help you out and you feel like family when your there at the lot. Thanks again, Scott read more

When you purchase a vehicle from a private party there is inherently less stress involved because you aren't walking into the lion's den like you do at a car dealership. And yet, technically, this *IS* a car dealership but they manage to pull off giving their customers an experience as if they are purchasing from a private party...with the icing on the cake being the professionalism they also exhibit to sweeten the experience! I found them through a craigslist ad they had up, and promptly received a phone call from Erik (with a K, btw!) around 6 pm to my inquiry...setting up an appointment for the next day, Sunday. Unfortunately, I had a limited budget...but they worked with me so I could get the Kia Soul that I so badly wanted and needed...and in the exact color I was hoping for....and it was in great shape! The whole process was so pleasant and stress-free.....and Nate and Erik were sincerely friendly and helpful, without the usual stereo-type behavior that you normally affix to car salesmen that I had to keep reminding myself that I was actually at a car dealership! I never felt pressured, or that I was being given the run-around...or felt a need to put up any guard or participate in the normal "car buying/selling games" as is commonly the case with dealerships. I drove 3 hours today to purchase my vehicle, and am over-the-moon happy with both the purchase and the customer service. Drive a little and save a lot on a quality used vehicle...where they do all the work for you in thoroughly checking it out (and fixing it, if need be!) so you know exactly what you are getting straight up! In summary, these guys seem to genuinely care about their customers...with a very Zig Ziglar approach....and I am grateful that I found them! read more

At first, I was impressed by the down to earth and helpful sales gentleman Erik when I first arrived at Deruelle's Auto Sales. I came to look at a specific vehicle they had advertised on Craigslist, but was on my way to look at few more that day. I was a serious buyer, cash in hand, and let him know where I needed to be and Erik said they could get me under that amount. The car was a bit older than what I was looking for, but seemed like a quality car and drove well. They offered me no pressure sales, and even checked out other cars on my list through carfax for me. I was impressed, and after some thought, decided not to look at the other vehicles I had planned on and make Deruelle's an offer on the vehicle. They were asking $1,000 over blue book, the car had no records for service, was very basic and needed new tires within the next few months. I offered blue book top dollar, knowing that I might need to go over, and thought that we would meet at a fair price. Being a young woman, I knew I would probably get a little hassled, but I trusted that they were good guys. Now, they probably didn't realize I had spent 2 years working at a car dealership, and I know the sales pitch front and backwards. They were literally text book in trying to sell me. The back and forth, the trying to make me feel bad, and that they weren't going to make their $2000 they wanted to, even told me they were already discounting it so much for their "Craigslist price." What was their bottom line? out the door for $300 MORE than what they were asking for the vehicle. Haha, what a deal! When I didn't take the bait, their owner was rude, started talking down to me, and generally treated me with complete disrespect. I walked away, even got the old "chase you down and offer you $100 off!"... No thanks. I was told by Deruelle's owner I would never find a decent car for price I was looking for. WELL, I just bought a beautiful car, 5 years newer, with every bell and whistle I could ask for, with ALL the service records, 2 sets of brand new tires (one studded snow tires!) that included rotations for life, a perfect engine, and the list goes on. And I paid $600 less than Deruelle's final offer. Glad I moved on. If you go with these guys, they may be likable, but they are still car salesman. Get ready to play hard ball. read more

We just bought a car from here and the people are amazing to work with!! We had checked out many used car lots as well as listings off of Craigslist and ultimately we went with these guys because they were low key no pressure, honest, and full of information to help steer us in The right direction regardless if it meant our purchase was with them or another business. Good people! read more

Deruelle's has a nice selection of cars and trucks. They were VERY helpful. I will definitely be back when it's time to buy my next car.

Steer clear of these unprofessional liars. They scan craigslist for used car sales by owners, call from different cell phone numbers, pretend to be from different cities shopping for their wives or a rental agency -- anything but disclose they are a used car dealership in Shingle Springs. They offer way below bluebook before even seeing your car and then try to scare you with warnings of major replacements due at your car's current mileage, which you will find is not true if you do a little research. read more

After having two horrible experiences with different dealerships (within the last two weeks) when trying to buy a car, I found this out-of-the-way place in Shingle Springs. (I live in Sacramento). It is a small lot, and admittedly, when we pulled up we were a bit hesitant about whether we wanted to even get a closer look at cars. But I have to tell you, "This place is totally worth your time." Nate and Sierra (the owners) are good, hard-working people, and they will give you an honest price. We also received a 1 year warranty on the car, and they also offer free oil changes for a year. I recommend looking online first for your car and then calling to make an appointment for the car you'd like to test-drive. I wish Nate and Sierra (the owners) the best of success, and hope you see them before buying your next car. read more

Wow! That's the first thing I thought as I left Deruelles after buying my second car from this wonder little goldmine. Including myself and my family, we have bought 4 cars from Deruelles! I have had the honor of watching them grow over the last three years. You know a business is great if they can not only survive in this economy but flourish and grow. Everytime I come back...they have almost double in size! When I first found Deruelles they only had about 10 cars on the lot, but every car on the lot believe it or not, was a 1 owner low mileage car, and i was amazed to say the least. There was 35 cars to choose from the this last time! The owner, Nate Deruelle has developed a system of buying cars where he only buys the best of the best from private party people. Most of the cars he buys are 1 owner cars, and the part I love most is they get records for most of their cars! I have bought 2 cars from Deruelles and have loved both of them. I hated the process of buying a car in the past, and hated dealerships even more. I actually enjoy the process now, and I will be continuing to purchase all my vehicles from Deruelles and Deruelles only. They have always taken care of me, and I feel they truly care about people getting good cars. Nate as always freely allowed me to see the inspections on the cars I have bought with all the records and its very comforting. I recommend these guys to anyone and everyone. Thanks Nate and Steve for my 2004 one owner Camry with only 70k! And good luck with the mechanic shop and rental business, I'm sure those businesses will also be successful! read more
