Out of the way of the loud riverfront but still within walking distance to everything in the historic district. Staff was friendly and accommodating, our room was beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay at Foley House a few weeks ago. Check-in and check-out was super simple. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and common areas were clean. I loved the balcony and backyard entrance. The patios were a wonderful little surprise and a perfect place to enjoy a drink (or two). The location is super walkable. We were able to find a parking spot on the street directly behind Foley House and walked everywhere the entire weekend. Don't forget to check out the happy hour, they have free wine :) We didn't have a chance to try the breakfast so I can't speak for that. I can't see a reason, we wouldn't stay at Foley House next time we are in Savannah! read more

We made our first trip to Savannah and stayed at the Historic Foley House Inn. This boutique hotel is in the middle of the historic district. Located across the street from Chippewa Square. Once we parked our car, we were able to walk everywhere. This site is beyond convenient. We travel with an Australian Shepard and this Inn is pet friendly. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. We met the new owner of the Inn and she is truly awesome. She shared with us her plans for the future and we could not be more pleased and excited for her and the Inn. We will be back next year. read more

Pros: -Upon arrival we were helped with our bags to the third floor since there is no elevator. -The location was in the center of downtown Savannah. -They had complimentary coffee or juice along with cookies and a yogurt in the mornings. We didn't care for it, but it was appreciated. Cons: -The pictures and videos on their website have to be from over a decade ago as none of the fireplaces in each of the rooms are functioning and furnishings are very dirty and falling apart. -Everything about the room at check in and throughout our stay was incredibly dirty. I was embarrassed to have taken my husband here. They not once cleaned our room and at check in no one mentioned if we needed housekeeping to ask them. That's tacky to have guests asking for them to do their jobs. Yet they left an envelope in the room for the guests to leave a tip to housekeeping. -The balcony railing was so dangerously low and very slanted the chair hardly fits out there and felt very unsafe. -Furniture was all visibly dirty it gave dirty motel vibes. -Linens and bath towels were in bad shape or not adequately clean. -The stairs to the third floor were all different heights making it difficult even for healthy people. The banister at the bottom of the side house felt like it was going to be ripped off if you put any weight on it. -The central air located in the room seemed useless. The balcony doors let too much cold air into the room at night and in the daytime the room was too hot when it was hot outside. -Upon checking in and throughout our stay the floors were all so disgusting especially the bathroom floors. This adorable bed and breakfast is absolutely worth visiting!!! The owner and the staff are the sweetest, most accommodating people. I stayed in the Essex suite which included a chandelier and 2 fireplaces as well as a large jacuzzi soaking tub. To say I was thrilled by the beauty of the place would be an understatement. The Foley House also included a delightful breakfast each morning of my stay as well as a complimentary wine reception every evening! They really do go above and beyond here to make sure you truly enjoy your stay. I would 100% recommend staying here when visiting Savannah. read more

My one main gripe is that they don't allow an earlier check in even when you know the place isn't booked! Get some better customer service please. I settled for dropping off my things in a corner and walking around the city. I got a room on the ground floor which I later regretted. It was loud, you can hear the breakfast crowd coming down to eat, people walking around and the staff making noise. If you make a reservation, do not stay on the ground floor! I am also told you should avoid the carriage house in the winter as you have to walk through the cold garden to get to the house meals. We got a room with huge king sized bed and large windows (so glad the blinds block out the light). I like to cuddle so it was wasted space but still beautiful. The room is larger than my master bedroom at home! Very well decorated too. The Fireplace worked, and was very warm. Loved that detail. Breakfast is served 8am-10am. You are sat in tables of 2. It's very private and intimate. I prefer the communal tables where you get to meet other guests but that's just me. Breakfast: We started out with fruit with juice and coffee. The fruit had lots of honeydew (the crappiest of the crap fruits) but the banana muffin was clearly fresh baked and perfect. I got eggs with goat cheese and sausage. My boyfriend got waffles with sausage. It was you basic hotel food. If I rated this place on the food alone, they'd get 2 stars. Sweets and tea offered from 3-6pm. They had biscottis and cookies from a local bakery, That was a nice treat. They offer port on the piano 24/7. Overall everyone is very attentive and friendly. It's in a great part of town. Across the park where Forrest Gump tells his famous line about the box of chocolates on a bench. I will probably try a different place next time just to get a taste of what other B and B's are like but this place was great despite the OK food. read more

LOCATION & PARKING: The Foley House sits across the street from Chippewa Square (on the corner of Bull and Hull Streets and only a few feet away from the famous Forest Gump bench scene). The most attractive aspect of this place is it's proximity to the heart of the city's Downtown" anywhere from a 10-20 minute walk. Regarding parking, those who stay at the Foley House can receive a street parking pass. Plentiful spots exist around Chippewa Square. II. ROOM: Most rooms there differ, and I stayed in two over the course of four nights. One had a modern bathroom; one did not. One had a working fireplace; one did not. Both had sort-of-comfy beds, but I wouldn't rave about about either of them. So yeah, your experience depends on the room. I would suggest asking for a room as farthest away from the main floor as possible. In addition to getting a fantastic calf and thigh workout ascending those stairs (no elevator, BTW), you'll avoid hearing people walk down the stairs during breakfast time. One of the major problems I found in both rooms is that many of the electrical outlets didn't work. It's something Foley House could improve. III. SERVICE: Fantastic, friendly staff. The person we worked with to coordinate our stay over-communicated how to access the building after 10 pm (which is when they don't have anyone staffing the place). IV. FOOD & DRINK: Their complimentary breakfast is off of a small menu. (So it's like a restaurant.) I had a tasty omelet accompanied with pan fried ham and fruit. I had one of their fruit juices, too, and it was unfortunately something similar to something one could have bought at a grocery store. It's too bad because I loved my food. V. PRICES: They vary and depend on the time of year and type of room. I think we paid around $275 per night, which was the most affordable option in the area. VI. OTHER TIDBITS: Supposedly, a ghost named Wally haunts the Foley House. Guests have seen him with his top hat walking around the garden at night. Fortunately, I didn't see the guy. I'm sad to say that this place use to be great! But now it's has been let go. Property not maintenance and cleanliness is bad. Bathrooms in especially bad no hot water at times. Bath tub not cleaned properly. My husband got a fungus infection. Because it's not being cleaned properly. Furniture not cleaned or the lamps in our room. Locks on door do not work properly. Tv connection to local channel very bad. Hallways and stair area as well as the room we stayed in. Needs to be painted. Chips and marks every where. The staff there very friendly. And helpful. The owner said he wave our pet fee and never did. Due to the conditions of our room along with the fact we where repeated guest. So this place is now off our list of places to stay in savanna and we love it there. I think next time because having pets. I decided to give Foley House 3-Stars because the receptionist was pleasant. Although I did not believe her that she did not know more about the location I was asking her about. Maybe I am wrong but this location is so huge, how can you not know about it. I have been trying to get information on a Senior Apartment there in Savannah with no luck. I had left voice message with the LGBTQ Center with no return call. I found the Foley House and idea I would stay there if I ever get details first about these senior apartments. I called the Foley House to only get the brink wall thrown at me again. This Employee of this Gay B&B if still gay did not know the area after living in Savannah 2-yrs. I found this disappointing and if this is what Southern Hospitality is now days, do I want to move to Savannah. If I ever get my information I won't stay at the Foley House. With this review I hope that future guests of the Foley House Inn will think twice before booking. If you read the other negative reviews you will notice that the owner (someone called Grant) ridicules anyone who complains, so I am not expecting anything more from him as an answer to this review. I had two very unfortunate incidents involving the Foley House Inn in Savannah, both of which ask for extremely negative reviews plus reporting the hotel to the Georgia Department of Public Health. Me and my wife have been travelling with our friends to Savannah and decided on the Foley House Inn for a two-night stay. My friend made the reservations for the four of us in two separate rooms. The first incident revolves around reservations that had to be made twice. Initially the reservation for both rooms was made on January 14th through booking.com for a two-night stay on January 25th until the 27th. The reservation included the possibility to make one date change if done so on January 18th at the latest. Unfortunately my wife's mother died early morning of Friday the 20th and me and my wife had to return to the Netherlands for the funeral. My friend, who made the reservation immediately tried to change the reservation to a later date but hotel management hid behind the rules of booking.com and maintained (after several requests) that nothing was to be done about this and if we wanted to change we had to simply make a new reservation and thus pay twice. I was totally struck by the total lack of empathy since this was obviously an exceptional case and we were not trying to cancel, just to change the dates. Foley House Inn management could have easily booked in the new dates without charging us. Me and my wife had enough stress at the time to worry too much about it as we had to arrange for flights to Europe on top of the obvious dealing with the loss of a loved one. So, reluctantly we agreed to make a new booking which my friend did on January 22nd through booking.com for a two-night stay on February 22nd until the 24th. I still believe we should get a full refund of the first stay as a courtesy to us as guests. Especially so since in other (negative) reviews about cancellations Grant constantly mentions that he must have a three-day notice for changes which he got from us. The past week we have been staying at the Foley House Inn (room 307) and enjoyed the city of Savannah. This is when the second incident occurred. On our second night (February 23rd-24th) around 8pm my wife had a huge cockroach (at least 1.5 inch) running over her arms. Obviously she was in distress, but we managed to kill it and flush it down the toilet. She was afraid there would be more, but I was able to calm her down and truly believed / hoped that was not the case. However, within half an hour we spotted a second (equally large) cockroach on the floor. We also managed to kill that one but it was then that we decided this was no longer a suitable environment to stay in. I reported the incident to the caretaker on site and he even came up to have a look. Unfortunately he claimed he could do nothing at all for us until the morning of the 24th. I mentioned that we were going to leave and wanted a full refund because of the clear health code violation and the emotional distress we were in. No way were we going to sleep there anymore. So we were forced to book a room at another hotel nearby and we left the night of the 23rd. I have sent these concerns / incidents as an email to the hotel demanding a refund, but so far have not received an answer. In addition I have reported the hotel to the city of Savannah for the clear Health Code violation and suggested the hotel to be inspected and pest control measures to be taken. read more

You may leave your pet in the room when you wish to go about town, all they require is your cell number in case you are needed. Chef India is an amazing southern style culinary artist, incorporating southern flare and hospitality into three different daily experiences included with your stay; breakfast, tea and sweets in the afternoon, evening wine and hors d'oeuvres pairing. Chuck is very pleasant and always a smile away. Paul is an amazing steward and though new to the area he knows the best places to eat, to look for new residences, and to shop for groceries or southern relics. The ladies who cover the weekend shifts are very pleasant and attentive as well. We had the best stay. Our hats off to this wonderfully unique and cater to B&B. Thanks so much! read more

We were in town for one night and stayed here after reading the reviews and they allowed pets for extra. They give you complimentary wine in the evening and breakfast which was so so. It was a quiche with fruit which we both ended up not eating. The rooms were large and they had a couple courtyards to hang out in while enjoying your breakfast or wine. The hotel is in walking distance to all restaurants, stores and historic sites. Definitely would stay here again! read more

In fact I told my wife about how the Air BNB in Charleston was such an inferior experience to Foley House Inn: no breakfast, no turn down service, and a residential location rather than being downtown in the middle of it all. There was one minor thing: we had to explicitly request turn down service. With that said, everyone was so helpful: Mrs. Shaquita let us use the milk to feed our baby, and the fridge and microwave in the kitchen to store our blue berries and warm her milk. Your other hostess/concierge (a blonde woman with an English accent) befriended our daughter and gave her maps and crayons to play with to help her settle down so we could eat our breakfast in peace. There isn't anything I can say other than the bed was a little uncomfortable for my husband. I was so happy to stay that honestly I couldn't sleep! I was just too excited to be on vacation. Booked online and that is what we got. The room was downstairs it was quiet. It is an older home so there will be a few creaks but nothing other than quiet! Woke up got my coffee and sat outside and listened to birds and watched squirrels. The shower alone was worth it. If you have a hard day drive the shower would just remind you how wonderful water feels! It would pin you against the wall! Plenty of hot water! Parking was $12 for the next day. I can't get all day parking for $12 in Nashville Tennessee! So worth it! Historic Savannah, southern charm and beautiful! Food! If anyone can take Grits and make me like them, well needless to say. I hated grits, loathed them. Now I have to go back home and yell at my mama that she has no idea how to make grits because the grits here was FAB-U-Freaking-licious! I still hate my mamas grits or any grits for that matter but this place may make me change my mind IF and that is a huge IF they make them as awesome as this place did. My partner and I stayed here with the intention to learn the history of the area in a as-safe-as-possible way during COVID. Pros: - Location: The rates are purely a reflection of the inn's *fantastic* location. - Friendly staff (when they are around) - Complimentary coffee in the morning Cons: - Cleanliness: If you have allergies, historic inns are understandably not a great place for you, but this inn, definitely not. The heavy fabrics desperately need cleaning. (The fabric above our bed had a thick centimeter of dust just lurking above our heads.) Outside of the room, too, taking a cursory look past the facade shows a place that would really benefit from a deep clean (ex., trash under steps in courtyard, corners of rooms where boxes and stuff were just piled up). - Weird COVID protocols. Guests were observed to not wear masks while sitting in the foyer indoors; however, our rooms weren't cleaned once during our four-day stay, reportedly because of safety. (Strangely, this did not prevent request for a housekeeping tip.) This tells me the est. is trying to do right by their staff but are worried of offending their guests? No one wins here, clearly. - Costs associated with evening wine and breakfast. A glass of yellowtail & sugared bread w/ 3 slices of fruit - I don't know where I would have to be to feel as though this was worth $25. Do not fall for this "deal." - No minifridge in rooms. On our last day, I heard a guest ask about getting into the kitchen's fridge, so apparently you could use that. This is not something we were told about at check-in, nor something we could ask about since no one was ever really around. Again, I wish I was able to speak to someone to remedy some of these issues during our stay, but it didn't really seem like anyone really worked here -- other than the staff who worked breakfast in the morning. Very cute bed and breakfast in the center of historic Savannah! The room was super cute and clean. We had a little private balcony that overlooked the courtyard. The breakfast and snacks throughout the day were fantastic. We stayed for 4 days and appreciated the location so much, we could comfortably walk to the rifer front or down to Forsyth park stopping into all the great bars and cafes along the way to enjoy a break from the 100 degree heat. Foley house is pet friendly and one of the other guests would leave their dog locked in their room all day/evening. I am writing in reference to our recent stay at your Inn from September 7th - 14th. We were in the Carriage House Room 307. Although we loved the location and it was very quiet, we were extremely disappointed with the housekeeping. When we first arrived I was given conflicting information. First I was told if I wanted our room serviced I would need to put the "sign" on the door. When I couldn't locate this so called "sign", I asked the woman at the desk and she said there were no "signs" that she was aware of, so I asked her, "what do we need to do to have our room serviced" and she said she would make a note that it was to be done daily. Maybe we were forgotten because we were in the Carriage House, I'm not sure but the first day I found myself requesting wash cloths and I was handed one. Needless to say as the week went on I would end up asking for towels, more wash clothes, a hand towel, AND toilet paper. Now keep in mind I layed the used towels on the floor as indicated by the sign in the bathroom and not only did I not receive clean towels, the wet ones remained in our bathroom. I also had to request for our trash to be emptied and a plunger because the toilet in Room 307 doesn't flush properly which brings me to my next concern...our toilet wasn't cleaned the entire week (I'll spare you the details of how I know it wasn't). The last problem we had was 3 of my breakfast orders and 1 of my husband's were incorrect, but this is minor compared to the other problems we incurred during our stay. On a positive note, all the staff we dealt we over the course of the week were very polite and friendly. My husband and I are Hilton Honor members and while we could have easily stayed in one of their hotels, we like to treat ourselves every once-in-awhile and stay in an Inn or B&B for that "personal touch" you usually only get in those kind of establishments. We don't mind paying a little extra for exceptional service but we don't feel we received that kind of service this time. Unfortunately, this time I found myself wishing we should have stayed in a Hilton Hotel just so we could have had a clean room and working toilet. I brought these issues to the attention of the woman who assisted us when checking out. She was very apologetic and informed me she would bring this to the General Manager's attention who she said would, most likely, compensate us for our troubles. Unfortunately, we never heard from anyone so I e-mailed my concerns and my husband called a week later. As of today, we have not received an answer to our e-mail or phone call. Room: I stayed in the Wrest (sp) room 401. It's huge. California King and a couch. Completely remodeled bathroom with shower big enough for 2! Fireplace had a mind of its own but otherwise all good. Internet: Free and fast enough to watch Netflix on my iPad. Parking: Get over yourself if you whine about parking. This is located in the historic district. Built for homes, walking, and parks (squares). Not cars. Drive around. You'll find something within a short walking distance. read more

The most charming little inn. Dressed in period pieces and furnishings, the building itself is inviting. The rooms, we stayed in two, are lovely. Large comfortable canopied beds with fluffy pillows and soft bedding. The sitting areas in the rooms are bright and airy with period settees, coffee tables and chairs. The bathrooms are beautifully appointed (modern fixtures, period occasional pieces) and inviting. One room we had had a small jacuzzi tub, perfect for two. The garden was delightful. It is private with chairs and tables and a "smoke 'em if you got 'em" sort of ambiance. For all the charm of the inn and its appointments, the staff is more charming. They are friendly, professional, accommodating, and helpful. They all welcomed my dog (there was no extra charge for him) like he was a family friend. When we return to Savannah, and we certainly will, we plan to stay at The Foley House. It was a wonderful experience! read more

What a beautifully situated inn! My husband and I arrived to a very sweet man who checked us in and Josh who so kindly carried our luggage up the three long flights of stairs to our 4th floor room. The gentleman who greeted us... I'm at a loss for his name...Also held a space for us behind the building so we could park our car and leave it for the 3 days were are here. So super sweet of him and indicative of all of the staff. We arrived to warm smiles and a well lit Inn with informative staff eager to help. The Inn is on the corner of one of many town squares in beautiful Historic Savannah. Parking... we lucked out thanks to the staff. I heard several guests grumbling over the past few days about parking, but the staff were always eager to help and give direction. This is a historic area... and a B&B.... that should alert most that there is No parking garage or valet!!! This should not be surprising and the website clearly reviews parking limitations. A 4 story Inn.......The only thing I am going to say about all the stairs is, if you are looking for an elevator, go to a hotel. I love this Inn and wouldn't change a thing!! Besides, the glorious made to order breakfast, house made sweets in the afternoon and wine and yet another tray of house made ordevours in the evening.... a bit of stairs stepping is a good thing!! Wow.... what a sublime chef and staff!! Room.... we were in the 4th floor. Lovely room. New bathroom with rain shower and HOT WATER!! 4th floor means turn on the water a bit before you get in the shower, but once the water heats up....wonderful! Our room is spacious and cozy at the same time. This is not a cheap place so if you are looking to be thrifty.... uhm... may not work out.... but so WELL WORTH the money!! What a wonderful time we have had!! This is a "haunted" property which I found entertaining.... ask the staff... they will tell you. However, our fireplace did in fact have a mind of its own. We would turn the dial, it would come to life and then turn off and on for the next hour (on the timer) whenever it felt like it. We never mentioned it to the staff until after we left. We really didn't mind and were not concerned about it. It is nice when it's on, however, as it is COLD here tonight!! Wonderful New Years Weekend!! read more

Foley House - The fire place..... when lit!! Lol - Bed & Breakfast Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

Returning to Savannah after visiting 5 years ago, I inadvertently booked a room at the same B&B we had stayed at all those years ago. Also, we got the same room! So imagine my surprise when all the things that I really didn't like about the room back then hadn't changed a bit. Nothing has been done to this room to update it, and it sorely needed updating even back then. In fact, the lovely robes that hung in the armoire then were no longer in evidence. Apparently, you have to think in advance and ask for them. The bed is lovely and comfortable. The little staircase leading up to the bed to assist short people hadn't been cleaned since someone stepped on it as the footprint was clearly visible on the shiny black wood. The room came with 2 bottles of water, but when those were quickly gone in the Savannah heat, there was no filtered water available elsewhere, only bottles for sale at $2.00 each. The bathroom was the worst, though. The chipped grout in the floor tiles was still chipped six years later. The incredibly bad caulk job everywhere had not been fixed (I do a better job!). The white paint spatters outside the bathroom door on the dark wood floor were still there as was the missing paint on the trim of the bathroom door. The breakfast was lovely and Paul was quite helpful with luggage and finding a parking spot. The location is great, right across from where the Forest Gump movie was filmed and walking distance to River Street. I was a bit put off by the insistence from the front desk as she gave us the Inn's information that she NOT be bothered with non-emergency matters after they left for the evening. I guess that some guests contact them for insignificant things but it seemed a bit off. The bathroom is the biggest problem. When I spend $200 I expect a really nice, clean bathroom with a white tub and fixtures that look professionally installed. Stayed here over Labor Day weekend. Booked the room as it had a spa bathtub. The bathtub was the best thing about the room. We received no room service period in three days. No fresh towels or bed being made. There was a musty smell to the room, which constantly spraying Lysol helped. The three stars is for the bathtub as the rest of the room was pretty run down. read more

We decided on a last minute weekend in Savannah for my birthday. Since it was last minute, I didn't have time to find a place for my dogs to stay so we found this place with a very nice pet policy. As the owner of 2 pit bulls, we face a lot of issues in general... most places have size restrictions, only take 1 pet, or freak out when they hear pit bull. None of that here. There is a small deposit for the dogs, but compared to other places, it's really not bad at all. We got in late Friday night so they had given us the code and left the key and directions to our room at the desk. Our room was nice with a king size bed and a very nice modern shower. The bed sat up pretty high, which made it a little difficult to get in and out of. It was a bit firm for my tastes, but I find this true with nearly every hotel or B&B I've stayed in. We ate breakfast both mornings we were there and while the menu options are small, both times our food was great. Everything was clearly fresh and the banana muffins and biscuits were great. We also appreciated the fruit as well. Our room was the Wrest House room, 401. It sits in the front of the building. This was our biggest complaint over all. Despite being on the top floor, you could hear everything on the street. And I do mean EVERYTHING. The trash truck, drunks yelling at 3 am, car doors closing.... everything. Which made my dogs jumpy as I have one who is very sound reactive. Which brings me to the place being pet friendly..... you couldn't ask for more out of a place if you have pets with you. While they were good while we were gone Saturday during the day, they apparently were a little upset Saturday evening when we left for dinner. We got a phone call saying they were making some noise and the person in the room next to us had complained. They apologized profusely for interrupting our evening and asked if there was anything they could do to settle the dogs down a little so we didn't have to come back. She even offered to go get them some sausage from the kitchen and walk them in the park across the street. Thankfully we had only left for dinner and didn't plan on being gone all night, so we got back in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately they hadn't settled down. It was a nice evening so she had brought them down to the courtyard and tied them out until we could get back, which was fine. She kept apologizing for having to interrupt the night. I felt bad they had disturbed any other guests. Unfortunately we haven't traveled a lot like this and it was actually the first time for them to be left in a hotel so they were a little uneasy anyway. But staff did everything they could to try to make it better for them. Seriously, they completely won me over. We found out the next morning that the couple who complained had checked out, in part because of my dogs. Eeek. However, they assured me they were not worried about it and that the dogs really hadn't been a big deal. That they were a pet friendly place and they were only being dogs. I still felt horrible about it but they were so sweet. (LOL And said usually the pet owners were far nicer than the non pet owners anyway). Overall our experience was VERY positive. There are a few things to be aware of tho.... First, this is an old building so there are a lot of steps. No elevators, so some people might find it off putting. We didn't mind it. And even my 3 legged dog did fine. Second, those front rooms can be noisy from the street traffic. I was told the next time to ask for a garden level room, which was quieter and the dogs might be happier there. Third, it IS pet friendly. Something they are very proud of and adamant about. If hearing a dog bark at some point is going to bother you, this probably isn't the place for you. The only thing I would suggest to them is to maybe have some crates available for guests. I suspect my dogs might have been a little more at east when we left if we had some. Unfortunately we couldn't fit them in the car with us, so we left ours at home. Being able to even possibly rent a crate or two from them would actually have been good. We will gladly be back at some point to continue exploring Savannah. I was shocked at how dog friendly the city is. Not a single person batted an eye that I had pit bulls. Many of the shops by the river have water bowls out and biscuits available. Several restaurants have space where you can bring your dogs. Can't wait to go back. read more

This hotel is a REAL GEM of Savannah. Supposedly it's haunted but I had the best sleep of my trip here. The hotel is centrally located at the corner of Chippewa Square in Downtown Historic Savannah. It is very old and VERY authentic. If you're looking for something authentic, old-timey, and not corporate hotel chain, then this is it. The architecture is beautiful and every detail inside, every piece of furniture, is very beautiful and from a century ago. The room I stayed in was very spacious, private, and gorgeously decorated with a four-poster bed on which I slept like a dream. The hotel is quiet and I didn't see other guests or hear any noises. The old Southern gentleman at the front desk, Chuck, is very nice, helpful, and gentlemanly. I am so glad that I stayed here and I would definitely stay here again. Even the facade outside the front of the building is eye-catching and Southern Gothic style. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this beautiful hotel for a novel stay and great night's sleep in Downtown Savannah. read more

Recently stayed for two nights at the Foley House while visiting Savannah. Can't say enough good things about this place. Clean, wonderfully preserved and so convenient to just about anywhere you would want to go in Savannah. Great accommodations and wonderful breakfast and extras. I must, however, especially recognize Foley House's very friendly and attentive staff, particularly Josh, David and Drew. They were so welcoming, helpful and could not seem to do enough for us! As everyone knows, good help is hard to find, so these guys are really worth their weight in gold! Highly recommend!!! read more
