I asked for compensation for the damage and to be refunded the cost of the wash which in total came under $100 which for someone living in New York, is not that much to give for ruining clothes. The response I received back was absurd stating they were not at fault because they did not think they did anything wrong. You may not THINK you did anything wrong but I actually KNOW that my clothes did not leave my apartment stained with fabric softener. TL;DR: don't go here. You're clothes will come back ruined.

I HATE lugging the clothing to the laundromat, giving money to the owner of the closest one considering he doesn't use A/C on hot summer nights and once nearly killed us b/c of not having the door near the dryers open when it was killer hot there (we were waiting on clothes to try) and I despise having to sort the laundry immediately or knowing my clothes will be permanently infested with deep wrinkles. I thought "Why not let someone else do this considering our time & labor are valuable + I'm not He-Woman?" Did my research, saw good things about this service and decided to finally bite the bullet and go here once our laundry card for the local laundromat ran out. Tons of people I know send their laundry out but I feared the monthly cost killing us financially. Your first order is 15% off if you're a new customer & you'll also get a free laundry bag. I found out this happens even if you forget to give the guy your coupon like I did. It turns out doing this was very, very smart. First off, no need for me to lug heavy laundry from my second floor apartment or make my husband do it (the driver will come to your door & not make you go downstairs with your laundry; why can't postal services do that?). Second, you can provide your own laundry detergent and the like for them to use. Third, even if the 15% off hadn't applied the cost was far more reasonable than I expected (the per pound cost is the cheapest I've seen). Fourth, they will pick up and drop off in Ridgewood (it feels like no one ever services Ridgewood so this was a welcome change). Finally, the staff is extremely friendly, answered my questions without making me feel stupid or like an intrusion and my laundry came out wonderfully without us having to fold and sort it. This is an example of something you're better off spending the money on if you don't have your own washer/dryer at home. Be aware that the time you select is a range for when they will arrive (for example, 11 doesn't mean they will arrive precisely at 11 but within that hour). The driver even contacted me when my clothes were done and offered to bring them back early, which I accepted. Greatly appreciated. I wish we had started doing this a long time ago. This will have to be a regular thing & it feels like it's going to be a better use of funds in the long run.

I walked over and dropped off a bag and they weighed it to equal about $27, which wasn't bad at all. I returned the next day and everything was clean and folded. Very nice service as well! I've been moving around the boroughs a lot lately and I miss having a place like Megawash to do my laundry. The Argentinean owners are very nice as well as everyone they have working for them. Most important of all though: the facilities were kept clean. This isn't easy in a place that gets constant use (like a 24 hour laundromat), but many laundromat owners let their places get filthy without dong much at all. Price wise, I'd say Megawash was average. From what I recall it was somewhere around $2 for a small front loading washer. The dryers were hot and cost about $0.25 for 6 or 8 minutes (can't remember exactly...). If you're living in the neighborhood and wash your own clothes - definitely go to Megawash. I can't vouch for their drop-off but I'd assume it's above average.

I have used the big laundromat on Fresh Pond Road but it's absolutely disgusting. Didn't see any reviews of this place and it's directly around the corner from me so I went to scope it out. The place is fairly tiny but there are washers and dryers plenty. An ATM machine. A bathroom. Plenty of carts. Everything seems new and clean. Just one person working there. Very friendly and eager to show you how everything works. What I love about this place is that it uses a card system. You really can't find any laundromat locally that don't use change. It's refreshing. The card machine is modern and great. You can pay with bills, cards or Google or Apple Pay. So convenient! You don't even have to insert the card at the machine. Just lie it on the surface and it scans it. So cool! They do wash and fold and dry cleaning which can come in handy. Two tiny tables to fold your laundry on. Two benches outside to sit and wait for your clothes to finish. The best part of this place? They have the lowest prices I've ever seen. $2.00 for a small load. Bigger machines are $3.00. The dryers cost 25 cents for every 7 minutes. Can't beat those prices. One downfall is that they don't have gentle cycle on their machines. Just regular. Please do yourself a favor and come do your laundry here. This place knocks all the other local places out of the park!
