(I know it's one of those very tricky fabrics.) Got 6 blazer dry cleaned here as well. Turn around was a week, which, again, I thought was OK. The dry cleaning is done off-promises. I've been moving around the boroughs a lot lately and I miss having a place like Megawash to do my laundry. The Argentinean owners are very nice as well as everyone they have working for them. Most important of all though: the facilities were kept clean. This isn't easy in a place that gets constant use (like a 24 hour laundromat), but many laundromat owners let their places get filthy without dong much at all. Price wise, I'd say Megawash was average. From what I recall it was somewhere around $2 for a small front loading washer. The dryers were hot and cost about $0.25 for 6 or 8 minutes (can't remember exactly...). If you're living in the neighborhood and wash your own clothes - definitely go to Megawash. I can't vouch for their drop-off but I'd assume it's above average.

Ridgewood Laundromat, exactly one block away! I hefted up my polka dot sack, slung it over my shoulder, and headed out into the FREEZING Ridgewood wilderness. One point five minutes later, I was entering a tiny little vintage hideaway. Their drop off prices were listed in the window (I believe it's $8 for up to 10 pounds) including comforters and blankets and anything out of the ordinary. I didn't really take the time to study it... like I said... freezing! The woman inside (also tiny) was very sweet and told me they are open from 8:30am to 8:30pm. I'm not sure if that's just on Saturdays or if that is their daily schedule. She also asked if I would like to pick it up later that day, or wait until the morning. So, it's nice to know that they do same day drop off. It would be nice if they were open later, but since they are so close, I could easily run over before work. When I went to pick up the next morning, she remembered me and immediately headed over to pull down my bag. Happy to report that all my clothes are fresh, clean and folded!! I will definitely be back.

I'm in before 9 but one of the things I'm washing is my duvet. It's huge, and needs to dry for a while. So around 10:40 I return to get it, aware that it may be wet still, but prepared to suck it up and let it air dry because I know they're getting ready to close. I walk up to the door, it's locked. I'm looking at the sign, it says closes at 11. I call, I call, I call. Finally someone comes to the door and scolds...me? Because they're closed. And I at first am apologetic and mention that the hours are posted as 11, but that I just wanna grab my things and leave. She continues to scold me and asks if I'm dumb? She then continues that 11 is when she has to lock the door but she has to clean before that so they actually close earlier. I honestly don't care. Maybe I am dumb. She gets upset over the fact people are drying their clothes at 9:00 when the laundromat closes at 10:00, she likes to scold people and talk to them rudely. If you have questions you're better off figuring it out alone than asking her, I've also heard her on the phone talking shit about customers currently washing their clothes. Overall the laundromat is clean and the machines work well but the service isn't the best from that specific worker.

I brought several jackets to Tina's for dry cleaning and while 3/4 came out clean (hence the two stars), my down jacket pictured in this post came out a drastically different shade with new markings left from the cleaning process. I understand that sometimes the chemicals used in dry cleaning can alter the color of older fabric, and many of the stains were very deep-set, so while the result was bad I am most disappointed with Tina's response. She insisted that nothing had changed, saying that I had altered the images shown below, and that the camera was making the jacket appear brighter, going as far as to point out that I am on the beach which couldn't possibly be February (weird to have to defend this but yes! You can go to the beach year-round). Despite showing her many photos of the jacket in its previous state, with timestamps to match, she continued to gaslight and insisted I pay full-price. I was very hopeful coming to Tina's as she has many wonderful reviews, but am frankly taken aback by today's encounter. Please consider using a different laundromat if you would like to avoid a similar experience.

After trying many different laundromats in the area (both that I can walk to and drive to) I was very happy to stumble across Lavanderia by accident. They advertise that the machines are brand new, which was probably about a year or so ago I would guess, but the machines are definitely on the nicer/newer side for this area. Lavanderia is brightly light, and open 24 hours which is a great convenience. All the machines also operate with a laundry card. The first time you give a $1 deposit for the card (which you can get back when you return the card, or you can hold on to it). You can fill up the card with cash or any form of credit card (debit with cc logo is accepted too) which is also a great convenience. There is one or two TVs, and the front desk sells various types of detergents etc should you need it. My only complaint at all is that the overall space is kind of tight when its busy. The folding tables can be in the way of people trying to get in and out of the dryers at times. To avoid that situation I would try to go at off hours. Otherwise I definitely recommend.

I have used the big laundromat on Fresh Pond Road but it's absolutely disgusting. Didn't see any reviews of this place and it's directly around the corner from me so I went to scope it out. The place is fairly tiny but there are washers and dryers plenty. An ATM machine. A bathroom. Plenty of carts. Everything seems new and clean. Just one person working there. Very friendly and eager to show you how everything works. What I love about this place is that it uses a card system. You really can't find any laundromat locally that don't use change. It's refreshing. The card machine is modern and great. You can pay with bills, cards or Google or Apple Pay. So convenient! You don't even have to insert the card at the machine. Just lie it on the surface and it scans it. So cool! They do wash and fold and dry cleaning which can come in handy. Two tiny tables to fold your laundry on. Two benches outside to sit and wait for your clothes to finish. The best part of this place? They have the lowest prices I've ever seen. $2.00 for a small load. Bigger machines are $3.00. The dryers cost 25 cents for every 7 minutes. Can't beat those prices. One downfall is that they don't have gentle cycle on their machines. Just regular. Please do yourself a favor and come do your laundry here. This place knocks all the other local places out of the park!

Extremely upset, I called and politely asked for something to be done since the clothes that were stained were brand new and had neither been washed nor worn. I asked for compensation for the damage and to be refunded the cost of the wash which in total came under $100 which for someone living in New York, is not that much to give for ruining clothes. The response I received back was absurd stating they were not at fault because they did not think they did anything wrong. You may not THINK you did anything wrong but I actually KNOW that my clothes did not leave my apartment stained with fabric softener. TL;DR: don't go here. You're clothes will come back ruined.

I HATE lugging the clothing to the laundromat, giving money to the owner of the closest one considering he doesn't use A/C on hot summer nights and once nearly killed us b/c of not having the door near the dryers open when it was killer hot there (we were waiting on clothes to try) and I despise having to sort the laundry immediately or knowing my clothes will be permanently infested with deep wrinkles. I thought "Why not let someone else do this considering our time & labor are valuable + I'm not He-Woman?" Did my research, saw good things about this service and decided to finally bite the bullet and go here once our laundry card for the local laundromat ran out. Tons of people I know send their laundry out but I feared the monthly cost killing us financially. Your first order is 15% off if you're a new customer & you'll also get a free laundry bag. I found out this happens even if you forget to give the guy your coupon like I did. It turns out doing this was very, very smart. First off, no need for me to lug heavy laundry from my second floor apartment or make my husband do it (the driver will come to your door & not make you go downstairs with your laundry; why can't postal services do that?). Second, you can provide your own laundry detergent and the like for them to use. Third, even if the 15% off hadn't applied the cost was far more reasonable than I expected (the per pound cost is the cheapest I've seen). Fourth, they will pick up and drop off in Ridgewood (it feels like no one ever services Ridgewood so this was a welcome change). Finally, the staff is extremely friendly, answered my questions without making me feel stupid or like an intrusion and my laundry came out wonderfully without us having to fold and sort it. This is an example of something you're better off spending the money on if you don't have your own washer/dryer at home. Be aware that the time you select is a range for when they will arrive (for example, 11 doesn't mean they will arrive precisely at 11 but within that hour). The driver even contacted me when my clothes were done and offered to bring them back early, which I accepted. Greatly appreciated. I wish we had started doing this a long time ago. This will have to be a regular thing & it feels like it's going to be a better use of funds in the long run.

I live near the laundromat, so this may explain why the pickup and delivery was so efficient. Location always matters as to how efficient service is rendered, especially in NYC. The delivery guy was friendly and explained that customers can pay via cash or credit when the clothes are being returned. As indicated on the busines card, I got the free laundry bag with my first order and the 5 dollar discount, which I used as a gratuity for excellent service. My clothes were returned neatly pressed and cleaned. I agree with other Yelpers that C&C does a good job with ironing and folding the laundry. The "free" laundry bag seems to be of good quality and should last a few months, if not a year, depending on use. My only recommendation would be to give customers a choice of what laundry detergent they want to use for their clothes. Perhaps this can be done through an online option on the website? Overall, I think C&C did an excellent job cleaning, folding, and ironing my laundry. In my view, C&C is a good company that has a highly efficient home delivery service, but as I said, it depends on where you are relative to the laundromat. And I would definitely use C&C again. Sometimes, and before leaving a bad review, you have to give new companies a chance to get their footing in the competitive NYC market. Thank you!

I lived in two different states since leaving NY and tried so many tailors in the process and none have come even remotely close to this place. I know that sounds extreme, but as a short person, that HAS to have clothes tailored to fit the way they're supposed to, having a go-to place like this one is vital.
