I really wanted to like Fogo de Chão, but unfortunately my partner and I had a genuinely disappointing experience. First, I'll give credit where it's due: we arrived a little late for our reservation and they accommodated us almost immediately, which we appreciated. Before we were even seated, one of the staff members asked if we wanted still or sparkling water, and within seconds someone else came to take our order. We decided to go all in with the full churrasco experience. That's where things started going downhill. For some reason, many of the gauchos kept approaching our table with only the last piece of meat left on the skewer, which meant one person at the table often missed out completely. As the night went on, we did get to try some of the churrasco selections along with the chicken and parmesan pork, but service quickly became extremely inconsistent and inattentive. Multiple times we had to flag staff down just to get food brought to our table. At one point, a hostess asked if there was anything specific we wanted, so we requested the picanha and ribeye since neither had come around. Later, another staff member promised to bring us those cuts along with the fried cheese. We said yes to everything... and then waited... and waited... and nothing ever arrived. Eventually another gentleman came by again with pork and once again asked if we wanted anything specific -- for what felt like the fifth time. We repeated our requests, but the food we were promised still never showed up. By that point, the vibe was completely off. We were looking forward to dessert, but honestly we just wanted to leave. The atmosphere made us feel unwelcome and forgotten. To make matters worse, the meat quality itself was very disappointing. Several cuts were unusually chewy, the color looked off, and the flavor tasted old and low quality. For a restaurant charging around $75 per person, the experience and food quality simply did not match the price. We had a really disappointing experience here, especially since we were celebrating a birthday. Our server Mateo gave us completely wrong pricing information on the dinner package, which already started things off badly. He took our drink order and only brought back one drink for the table, then never came back. We ended up asking other waiters what was going on, and that's when we were told he had gone home... without saying anything to us or handing off the table. I get that this is a franchise restaurant and not anything upscale, but this is basic service that any place should be able to handle. The food was just okay, nothing special. The only bright spot was Jocelyn. She stepped in and really helped save the situation. She was attentive, professional, and honestly a rock star. Lots of food, so come here with an appetite! Filet mignon and short rib were available upon (multiple) requests. There is valet out front, but for a fee of $10. If you do the Churrasco Experience, you get continuous table side carvings, as well as access to the salad bar. However, the salad bar had a lot of suspicious looking food, so I did not enjoy most of it, as I have a sensitive stomach and was worried about the food sitting out all day. It was also pretty difficult to get ahold of the hostess. Had a great experience here. Metered parking and a nearby garage. Loved the decor and design. It looks upscale without the upscale pricing. Very clean with a friendly and helpful staff. We made a reservation to be safe. There is a little section with a salad bar, delicious cheese options and other extras you can add to the meal. There is a menu, but we came for the all you can eat menu. There was a special at the time for discounted price but it didn't include lamb chops and filet mignon. There was a variety of flavored steaks, sausage and chicken. Everything tasted good and and was freshly cooked. My favorite was the Picana Sirloin. Would definitely come back. I was looking forward to dining at Fogo de Chão for my birthday, but was a bit disappointed with my overall experience. To start, we came on a Wednesday evening which seemed to be a pretty slow night. Service was slow from start to end. We received our appetizers before our drinks and it took several attempts to get the attention of our server. We opted for the full experience so we could get our meat tableside. This also felt like a longer waiting time. The salad bar was fine with plenty of options to select from. Overall we left feeling like we spent a lot of money for a mediocre experience. I'm curious to try their new Brooklyn location to see if I have a similar experience. read more

The ambience was good, nice music and excellent decor. And the food tasted outstanding, very excellent quality, my personal favorite was the ribeye. Talk about disappointment. I wanted to try this chain for some time. I opted on this location (Westchester) rather than driving into the city. Mainly for parking however this was not different as I had to look for paid parking . This particular location is nice. It appears it was an old bank. The staff was friendly, they appeared young and a little uncoordinated but yet eager. My 2 star is really 2.5 and is not directly a reflection of this particular location moreso I feel this chain is over hyped and the food was mid. The food was fresh, hot, and quick. Some dish simply were not good to me. The meat (churrasco) tasted blan. The only season was salt. Again I simple did not enjoy. The cheese ball breads were very tasty. The star of the show were the drinks. Now they were good ! I personally have no reason to go back and if you must go I would advise you go when they are running a special. read more

It was our first and last time at this location. First, the service and the food were subpar. We did not receive the service that we paid for. We constantly had to ask for things such as water. Drinks were ordered and never arrived. We asked for a dessert menu and when it was handed to us, it only contained alcohol. We came here to celebrate a birthday and this was noted on the reservation, but it was also ignored. Do not waste your money on the buffet option, because it's not worth it. I would not recommend this place. The only person that was actually attentive was Jessica, other than her, everyone actually sucked. If you like Brazillian Steakhouse this where you should go! Premiere meats and side dishes! Location: It is located along Main Street. The interior is nice, cozy and little bit upscale. Service: they have the best employees! They always ask us if everything is fine every 5 minutes. Lol Food: The food was good! The meats are well cooked, tender and you can see where they are grilling it. One thing is that I felt like the same meats came to us twice or trice. For the price of $86 per person, I felt like I'm tasting the same meat. I even refused some of them cause I already know that I had it. Probably during our dine in there are only 6-7 meats that were given to us. The side dishes were amazing! I came back for the watermelon with spice and cheese! And they gave us small bread as well. Those breads were amazing! Price rating: 8/10. Quite pricey for the same meats that keep coming back to us. I will definitely come back here because I love Brazilian steak! (Called to reserve AND confirmed that it would be the Instagram promotion, then at the lunch when I got there AGAIN confirmed it would be this promotion. Both times I was told yes!) Went with Brazilian Gaucho friends that do their fire pit authentic grilling. They checked out the kitchen at Fugo. There is no open flame. They tasted the difference immediately that it was not like they do at Plataforma in NYC or like they do in their Backyard. The steaks were ok. Started at the bar, had a Manhattan, very nicely done. Two attentive bartenders, very friendly. I suggest if this is your first time go online re what to expect and how to order so you can maximize your experience based on your tastes. Skip any starters, they will suggest cheesecake but not tell you the $8 add is not included in the price. A very adequate dessert usually comes with the meal. If you are not looking to "beef up" one could enjoy an amazing salad bar with soup for a reasonable price. They will start you with bacon wrapped chicken and beef, skip it go with the prime cuts, again do your homework. In so many works don't waste food, order what you like and will eat. The sides are fantastic, the bananas oh my, someone bring me whipped cream! Keto Heaven. The first two weeks of keto are the worst, your stomach growls and nothing can satisfy the craving. An endless flow of meat is just what you need to get through the first two weeks. For both kids and adults, this place is fun. It's like one big game of red light green light, but with meat. The Tomahawk (ribeye) here is really good. The service here is spectacular. They are always coming over and asking how you are doing. Miguelina has taken care of us every time I come. She is amazing and deserves a shout out. The ambiance here is very nice with music playing. Last ight the manager called me after I made a reservation earlier in the week with receptionist for a table for 2 for tonight and our 2 dogs. She said the restaurant was dog friendly and made the reservation. Last night the restaurant manager called me and said the restaurant was NOT dog friendly and do I want to keep my reservation which I had made in order to sit on their deck deck. There was laughter on their end of the phone. I even called back to confirm and the person who answered the phone said this loud and clearly: "Fogo du Chao is not a dog friendly restaurant." I thought, was once the White Plains Mall closed the neighborhood would go back to the way it was 40 some years ago. Nobody there after 5 PM. Well, the neighborhood has had a renaissance, many of the bank buildings are now restaurants. And the interior of those old buildings have incredible architecture! Real marble, very high ceilings, and an atmosphere that exudes money and stability. Main Street hasn't looked this good in a long! There are plenty of dining options of every type of cuisine along the street. There's a huge hot and cold buffet in the center of the dining area. There are plenty of options to choose from: meats, cheeses, raw and grilled vegetables, fish, and green salads. But, the reason you come to a Brazilian restaurant is for the meat! There's: chicken, pork, sausages, a variety of beef steaks to choose from. Just leave a little coaster face up and sit back and enjoy. I don't know if you would call them waiters, more like slicers with meats on long skewers, hot and fresh from the kitchen. They are very degrees of doneness on each skewer. There's a full bar. Ample seating. It's a little noisy, but that's what you would expect. There are a lot of people there celebrating special occasions. It's an experience worth every penny of the bill. Fogo de Chao during lunch is the best time to dine in. It's quiet, intimate, fresh food and a great place to have a fulfilling lunch at a great price. You can even work remotely during your visit if you needed to. I ordered the cauliflower steak, in which I ended up taking home and the market buffet. What I absolutely oved about the market table and the feijoada bar is that each dish was labeled whether it was vegetarian or vegan. Such a helpful feature to have that their competitors don't offer. The waiter and server were very accommodating during my visit and listened to my dietary needs. They even surprised me with a birthday treat at the end of my dining experience. Family returned for father's day dinner. Upon arrival we were seated in the private dining area which they had opened up for service. this means we were seated furthest from the kitchen and buffet table. There were many cuts of meat that never made its way to us. I had asked several servers several times for beef ribs and it only came twice. You know what came three times of more? sausages, chicken wrapped bacon, dry beef wrapped bacon, cheese coated pork, pork chop, garlic beef... i regretingly took the garlic beef and the bacon wrapped beef which were both well done. the bacon wrapped beef had no flavor aka was just dry even with the bacon. the picanha and filet mignon came once. the servers were trying their best and offered us plates of bread, mashed potatoes, plantains over ands over which i appreciated because our kids do enjoy that. And the drinks arrived quickly and were never skimpy(alcohol). I'm sad to say for the $$$ we pay we did not get the cuts of meat we were expecting even when asking. We really enjoy the experience but are disappointed they would seat repeat customers so far away from the kitchen where many cuts never make it back there. I saw the grilled cheese plate when i was at the market table but the server never made it to our table by the window. very sad as I felt we missed out on a lot of offers sitting so far. lesson learned , ask for a table closer to the kitchen or market bar. the dessert menu is also stale. it's the same items & they should consider changing it up. read more

Absolutely loved this place. Probably the coolest restaurant I've been to here in the USA. Located in a for bank building Fogo de chao in White Plains was the brunch buffet I needed over the weekend. My man Jayshon served up his own recipe for the smoked chicken wings which was a highlight of the meal and Emily provided too notch service with a smile. This was my 2nd time here but I predict that I shall return here much more often. 10/10 would recommend when in town. read more

Went back to celebrate an early Mother's Day with my Mother-in-Law, Father-in-Law, & husband last week. Service was pretty terrible. We sat for a full 11 minutes waiting to be greeted by a server after being immediately sat by the hostess. We were one of 3 tables of diners; aka, they were absolutely not busy. Made eye contact with a few employees trying to get someone to come take our drink orders. I was kind of embarrassed because I had been praising a Fogo to my in-laws for months, as they had never been, and were excited to be there. Eventually, we were attended to and made our way up to the lovely cold and hot bars. Those foods were lovely and just how I remembered. The meat we were offered were kinda slim pickins... no chicken offered, 1 pork, 1 sausage dealie,, and 3 cuts of beef. My husband and in-laws were happy enough. Next, I made the reservation for 4 people at 4pm and we arrived promptly at 3:59pm after a 70 min drive (my in-laws are the obligatory early Senior diners, lol) on Open Table. As I was handed the bill at the end of our meal (which our drinks were not refilled, we weren't even offered and when I asked for another Diet Coke or whatever, the server took my empty glass and never returned), two things happened simultaneously. 1. I received an email from Open Table claiming that I was a no-show at our Fogo reservation... As I was preparing to pay our $350+ bill. The email said basically that, if I no-show again, I'd be unable to use their website in the future. I'd never stood up a reservation with them and definitely hadn't this time! 2. Our discount was not honored. I approached the hostesses stand, reminded the manager, who happened to be standing there, of the discount. He fixed the bill right away, no issues. But I showed the hostess the Open Table email and asked what was up. She said, AND I QUOTE, "Oh. You were seated?" I responded "Yes. By you." So she pressed some buttons on the iPad screen and said she fixed it but according to Open Table, it isn't fixed. Whatever. After such a lovely first experience with my husband to then have such a crummy one is so disappointing. And expensive. Expensive for what you actually get and disappointing. read more

I'm back, did you all miss my reviews? I have been a fan of Brazilian Barbecue for some time. This was my first time at Fogo. I was here for a meeting. Having been to other Brazilian BBQ's I knew what to expect. This location is huge! It is in what was once a bank. A grand entrance awaits. Lets get to the meat no pun of the review. One thing that stood out was the lighting, in an effort to make the atmosphere seem intimate I feel it was too dark specifically for those with vision issues. In the middle of the restaurant is a large salad bar. Never would I have thought to serve smoked salmon but there it was! There was a great selection of grilled veggies like eggplant , zucchini, and an assortment of mushrooms. Moving on we were seated in a semi private room far from the kitchen not an issue but needed to be said. Of note I had mentioned I was there for a meeting. At issue was the ambient noise and the lack of control over the background music. Now back to the food. The waitstaff arrived with skewers of grilled meats, there was garlic seasoned sirloin, bacon wrapped chicken, leg of lamb, all nicely seasoned with no over powering offensive flavors. The staff was very attentive always kept the water glasses filled. There was one thing missing, the 2 sided coin, green on one side red the other thankfully it was not needed. Typical Fogo de Chao although their prices are about $5-10 more than other Fogo locations in other parts of the country. Hostess and servers were nice. Restaurant is in a big old corner building, felt like I was entering an old library or church. Food was fine. The bottom sirloin was surprisingly my favorite, it had great flavor and was tender and juicy. Meats can be hit or miss though depending where they cut it from and how they cut it. I usually love picanha but they kept cutting it weird where I didn't get any fat and just got some tough meat most of the time. Also, after the first round of meats came by, there was a slow period with hardly any for about 20 minutes which really decreased the amount of meat I was able to consume, not sure if this was intentional but it was a bit disappointing nonetheless. Some of the lettuce was browning in the Caesar salad at the salad bar and many of the fruits were very very underripe, especially the peaches, pineapple, and kiwi. Probably wasn't worth the price paid unfortunately. read more

Went here for a large gathering and private celebration. It was a beautiful venue and the private room we had was perfect for the event. As someone who has never been to a steak house I didn't know what to expect. We were originally sent to a salad bar to serve ourselves and then when we sat back down, people came around with various meats to cut directly onto our plates. I did order the fish and was disappointed that it took over 2 hours to be served after the other meats started. It was also a bit slow, the rate at which the meats came around. I would have a small piece of meat and then have to wait for 10 mins for the next one. The Chilean sea bass was spectacular. Overall the food was great and that's why my rating is so high. I think the service issues would be resolved if you were in a smaller group. The desserts were good. Nothing too fancy but well done, especially the chocolate cake. read more

The salad bar is huge but most of the items are not things I would eat plus there were flies flying around the open salad bar which gave me the creeps given how nasty flies are. The servers are nice. However, I had to keep calling my waiter to ask for other varieties of meat because they kept bringing by the chicken, sausage, and skirt steak and we wanted the lamb. The plantains and the mashed potatoes are to do for. They were absolutely excellent. The fried Parmesan cheese bread was too. The rice was prepared beautifully and the beans with pork was tasty too. However, I don't think the food was worth the price we spent for lunch for four - $296 plus $45 tip. I don't think I will go here again. It just wasn't worth the bucks. Capital Grill, Eddie V's Steakhouse or Ocean Prime are worth those prices but not this place. read more

I can go on a rant complaining about everything wrong with this place but it ultimately all boils down to horrible management. We sit at the bar and the bartenders are all unfriendly. We order food and no place setting was set up. Our food comes and 2 min later the bartender then thinks about giving us plates and utensils which took 5 min so our food got cold. One appetizer dish comes out and 20 min later the second one comes out. We were not given any water. Then to make things worse, 30 min before the restaurants supposedly closed at 10pm, the bartenders start spraying chemical cleaners all place. Why are they cleaning while the restaurant is still open and people are still sitting at the bar eating and drinking. We took it as a sign to stop ordering and just leave. The staff is bad because who ever the manager is doesn't know how to manage a restaurant. Ps. Not ONCE did the bartender ask how we were doing or how our food was. I've always heard about this restaurant and was intrigued to try it. Today what drew me to the restaurant was their promotion for the $59 Surf and turf menu Option. I figured it would be a great time to have a solo dinner experience. I would like to start by saying the menu that they provided showed the surf and turf option as $64 and not 59 to start.I didn't say anything to my server about this because it is not their fault Service was excellent by one particular waitress I believe her name is Amerelda and pretty poor by all of the other servers besides the meat person jayshawn who was also very warm and welcoming. One waitress put the Saratoga bottle on my table and walks away so I served myself. When the nice waitress saw she rushed over to try and help. The ambiance sets a very nice tone but the taste of the food is sub par don't feel any particular desire to return at this point. The lobster tail does not have a buttery taste It has a dash of obey seasoning on top of a steam lobster tail. The mashed potatoes were cold with warm butter thrown on top. The crispy polenta taste pretty good as well as the fried cheese and pork Belly. Excellent service with this ambiance would make me visit again but everyone else's poor service combined with bad tasting food left me feeling as though I don't have to return. Update my main waitress recovered her service from apathetic to very attentive. Additionally, my server changed from the woman previous to Christian, who was also extremely warm, attentive and charming as a server, asking me questions and wanted to make sure that I had a great experience. We were actually in the city with reservations for a different restaurant that ended up getting flooded at the exact moment of our reservation. I had to pivot. We weren't too far from Fogo in Manhattan but there were no reservations available within 2 hours. I decided to check the White Plains location and there was availability, so I made a reservation and we booked it back uptown. Parking was great (right around the corner up to 9P), and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Reina was hosting along with another woman (didn't catch her name). They were both very nice and Reina even hauled our kiddo's highchair to our table, like a boss! We sat and Amarilda (spelling?) took care of us all night and was very nice. She took our drink orders, changed our plates and always checked in to make sure we were fine. We hit up the salad bar first and then the meat parade began. The gauchos hooked us up with all the meats. The picanha was great, as it should be. Our other faves were the ribeye, lamb chops and beef rib. Their chicken legs were juicy and falling off the bone. The only thing I missed was the filet mignon. We definitely had that cut at their midtown location but I could see no sign of it last night. Pro tip: ask for sides of their chimichurri and hot sauce to have at the table. Thank me later. There was a woman that went around with a big bar cart, offering a pineapple infused cachaça, and it's wonderful. Definitely worth a sip. Towards the end of the evening a manager (?), Brian, made two just for me, after the cart had been put away. Our Little ate like a queen and loved the molten lava cake. She ate free, as all children 0-5 yrs do. They even surprised my son with a birthday treat of another molten lava cake and birthday song, with which he needed assistance finishing, and I happily obliged. The staff is exceptional, although the music is quite loud, so I think the gauchos had trouble hearing us say yes to meat they were serving. The bathrooms are clean and thoughtful; they offer a spacious family room so that you can use the bathroom, change your baby and potty your tiny human, in one visit. The restaurant also has an elevator for wheelchair and stroller accessibility. We had a wonderful dinner and it was a nice night, despite how it started. Spent my birthday celebration here. There's nothing more amazing that seeing skewers of meat pass by your table and stopping by for a slice. Unlimited meats as long as your stomach can handle it, then keep your round marker on green. The salad bar though does not offer as much as the other churascaria in Yonkers. If you're a meat lover and want to get a group of friends to salivate over meat, then this is one of the places to go. Staff are attentive even if they are busy. read more

Had a wonderful time here with a friend that invited me to lunch. The unlimited salad bar was a nice touch, drinks were well made and service was top notch. To me the meat was a bit dry. I will return to give this place another shot. read more
