This is our new favorite restaurant. We came on a Saturday night so I would suggest making reservations. It was last minute thought. The lovely hostess, Taylor, seated us after a short wait at a table just adjacent to the dining room in area the bar. It was great. My girlfriend is Brazilian and she raved about how great the place was and how much it reminded her of Brazil. She was my tour guide and knew what to ask for what was coming. The salad bar was fantastic. Next time I won't overdo it, but I can't believe this restaurant has received bad reviews over the salad bar and the service and the meats. That was not our experience in any such matter. Our server was the Bartender Paul, and he did a great job keeping us served with water and drinks for my girlfriend. It was not his primary job to be a server, but he took care of us. The rare meat just kept coming. It was delicious. What was particular notice was floor manager Augusto who came over and made sure that we were having a great time. Very friendly and it was nice talking to him. He came over several times and then at the end of the night one of the managers, Alexander, came and spoke with us and even walked us out and opened the door for us. This restaurant is there to please. It is our new favorite restaurant. It definitely deserves a higher overall review status. I'm recommended it to all my friends. The staff did great taking care of us most of the time. My son gave me a $200 gift card and had a lot of great things to say about this place. My son did not visit the salad bar. He just got the upgraded package and ate only the meat and lobster. So my husband and I got the most expensive package, (bcz it's what my son recommended for the full experience) which was about $89 deal with that we all you can eat meats we added the lobster and lava cake. I waited for over an hour and got zero ribeye and zero filet mignon. There was a lot of sirloin being brought out and lamb and chicken, but ribeye came out once in an hour and a half and filet mignon as well . I had to ask the servers over and over. The biggest disappointment was the salad bar. How do you charge an $89 plate and have a salad bar F- Salad bar! It was empty more than half the time we were there. I got up several times I could not get a decent salad because there was not enough lettuce being put out the little that was put out the Romain chunks were so huge that i couldn't fit it in my mouth. And the rice was dried and crunchy. They rice had been sitting in crock pots for so long that it was hard and crunchy. I'm just really sorry I would love to do a second review and change it if and when I visit Fogo a second time they literally have to reprogram. Whoever is in charge of their salad bar to do a better job. You can't charge high end prices in have low scale salad bar not everybody goes for the meat even though we're still willing to pay the high price. It'd be nice to be able to eat a salad. read more

First of all the hostess was incompetent. We arrived with no reservations and the place was not close to busy. She turned us away, I walked outside and made a reservation for 5 minutes later online and walked in. For a $65 per person price point you'd expect better service and selection. Salad bar is mediocre as far as selection and subpar as far as food taste and quality for salad bar. Then the meat started coming, I asked if they had Fraldinha, they said yes and the after asking for it 5 times, it finally came to us for the very last meat. The rest of the meat was about the same quality as Tucanos or Rodizios. Not worth the price point. In addition to this the service was terrible. Our waitress came by our table once in the beginning then once at the end. We ordered a drink and had to ask for it twice to get it, it took 15 minutes to get our soda. We then had to flag down a manager to ask for a refill after sitting there waiting. The cheese bread was good, we also had to ask several people more than once to bring us a refill until we finally got more bread. Other free appetizer sides were subpar. I've been here twice now. Once for brunch and once for dinner. Unreal service and ambiance in both settings. The brunch had additional options at the nugget to include custom omelette and waffles. They were however out of waffles so we didn't get to try it... we dressed more casual for lunch. For dinner you absolutely need a reservations. And it's so fun cause you can dress up! Such a classy white tablecloth establishment. Please get the Brazilian lemonade. It. Is. So. Good. Ugh! We also got the waygu steak for the table. It's dinner and show when you order that! It feeds 2-4 people depending on how much you eat. They slice it at your table and transfer it to a hot salt rock so you can further sear it to your liking. Visited Fogo De Chao on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, we snagged reservations a couple months before! I got the Full Churrasco experience and my boyfriend got the Indulgent Churrasco with the lobster tail. All of the meats were perfectly cooked and juicy, we both liked the Picanha most. I got the skinny Caipirinha and it was alright. From what I understand, this location only recently opened up. I could tell they are still a little disorganized when it came to serving our table and keeping items in stock at the market table. Our experience still went pretty well, I think after a couple more months they should be running more smooth and I'd like to try them out another time! read more

We were sat down immediately with our reservations on a Saturday right before Christmas and got to ordering right away. The staff was incredible and took care of us - we felt like we were home. The market table had a great variety of salads, fruits, vegetables, and other items that accompanied the meal well. Once we started the meat rotations, we didn't try a meat we didn't like, however my *only* complaint is that there were supposedly 18 different meats available, but we only saw the same 7-8 rotating around. When we were done with the meal, we started to see different meats enter the rotation, which was a little disappointing considering we were there at 6:30 and left around 8:15. I really wish we would've gotten to see more of the meats before it was too late. Other than that, the service was fantastic. The Managers checked on us often asking if everything was good, and the gauchos really took care of us. Shout out to Alan (Manager), Tiffanie (server), Alex, and Gerson (gauchos), for making us feel like we're family. Came here on a date with my husband for a date night! We both got the 'Indulgent Churrasco'! One of us picked 'Butter-Bathed Lobster Tail' and the other picked 'Roasted Bone Marrow' we were both VERY impressed with both, but obsessed with the Roasted Bone Marrow! We'd definitely comeback JUST for the Bone Marrow! We had a special request for beef only and EVERY SINGLE SERVING was cooked perfectly to a medium rare! The salad bar was BEAUTIFUL, the colors and the way to was laid out. Absolutely stunning! It was recommended that we both got the $10.00 cocktails. This might be the best brazillian steakhouse I've been to. I would definitely say that the meats were cooked extremely well, even the drinks were fantastic, but the greatest separator between the others is the service. The staff was fantastic, and remembered how you like your meat cooked, if one skewer was well done, they would come back around with another one at medium rare. The selection was good, but the service was better. I do feel that their salad/sides bar was a little lack luster compared to the meats being offered. Though there were several items I was surprised to see, like smoked salmon and dragon fruit. I would definitely recommend visiting once, but I know that the price point of the restaurant was significantly higher than some of the others, and that might be a deterrent for me to visit unless there was a specific reason for going. They do have a reward program, but that does require several visits to get a reward. The restaurant itself is brand new, and a great spot to visit. With the restaurant just opening this week the staff did a very good job. Water glasses were never more than half empty and we constantly had someone stop by to see if they could do anything to help us enjoy our stay. They even offered to have the kitchen make us something if we didn't see anything that we liked. All of the food was very fresh right off the grill. They had someone slicing fruit for the salad bar right in front of us. My favorites were the ribeye steak, filet minon, bacon wrapped steak, and the picahana. read more

As expected from a Fogo de Chao Ambiance: Fancy, special occasion kind of vibe. Plenty of parking as it's attached to the mall. Service: Everyone was super attentive. Meats came around a bit slow and not as many varieties as I would like. Food: You're paying for the quality and ambiance basically, and of course everyone gets the $65 experience with the salad bar and rotating meats. Everything was pretty delicious, but I thought the salad bar was a bit lacking in variety. Meats were good. No grilled pineapples but apparently they can make them upon request, it just takes a while. We visited recently with a reservation for a group of 10, and overall had a decent experience, but there were a few things worth noting. The space itself feels a bit tight, but the ambiance is nice, slightly dark, very open, and the Andover layout works well. The bar area is spacious and the drinks were very good. The service was genuinely great. Even though they had just opened, the servers were well-informed and very kind. The front staff, however, came off a bit rude, but it wasn't a big deal. The owner/manager even stopped by our table to check in, which we appreciated. We ordered the meat service, which was good, but the salad bar felt limited compared to other Brazilian steakhouses. We also tried the salmon, and unfortunately it was extremely dry... almost not edible, which was disappointing, especially for the price. Speaking of price... everything is on the expensive side. The lunch and dinner menus are basically the same, but dinner jumps up by $20-$40 with no change in offerings, which feels hard to justify. Reservation mix-up, salad bar picked over and pitiful, no refills on bread, had to ask multiple times for water/drink refills, meat frequency was inadequate (for what you pay for) and meat options were flavorless and chewy. Server provided a meat option we were actually waiting for at the end but they ran out before everyone at table could take a slice. Said they'd grab some more and be back. Didn't happen. We paid our check and left. Total disappointment. Anyone that enjoys this type of experience I would recommend Rodizio Grill instead. read more

We visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. While we were dining, one of the servers who was cutting meat right next to our table dropped his knife on the floor. He immediately picked it up and continued cutting and serving meat with the same knife without properly cleaning or replacing it. This was extremely concerning and unhygienic. This was not what I expected for a special birthday celebration. It's definitely a birthday my daughter will remember -- but for the wrong reasons. I hope the restaurant takes food safety and hygiene more seriously in the future. read more

My husband and I went there for dinner and we couldn't believe the price! Just for the two of us to eat there, it was $162 not even including our $20 tip!! I think that's freaking ridiculous! I've been to Fogo de Chao several times in the D.C. area and it's always excellent. I was excited when I found out that a location was going to be opening so close to my house! The Murray location did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in, the "experience" begins and the service is exceptional. We arrived a few minutes before our 6:15 PM reservation. Apologies (literally) were given for our "wait" when we were seated at 6:18 PM. Our server Grant was at our table in less than a minute, explained the menu, and took our drink order. The food is amazing. I highly recommend (in addition to the fantastic meats being served), the crab cake and the lobster mac and cheese. They were both so good!! Grant was fantastic. I went there for lunch service, they've been open for about 2 months now. We ordered off the bar menu and did not do the churrasco. The food was great, we ordered nearly everything off the bar menu. The only thing I would not order again is the tacos, maybe that's my fault for reading the description but it's served on a Napa cabbage leaf as the vessel. Don't be cute, just serve it on a tortilla or taco shell. The filet board was good but they didn't slice it all the way through which made it a little inconvenient and some of the pieces were well done. The wait staff kept my glass filled with water but half the time they filled it with hot water. You can tell they're still getting things right for a new restaurant, but considering this isn't the first location and it's been two months you'd think they'd have all the kinks worked out by now. It's beautifully designed and I'd go back to give them a shot with the full experience of the churrasco. But for now they get 3 starts until the service and food matches the prices read more

I had went with my wife's family to celebrate her fathers birthday. Had to say this experience and the food was dissatisfying. We had booked a reservation for 5, and it took 40 minutes for us to be seated. There were bigger parties that hadn't reserved yet they were seated first way before us. Once we got seated the server was great. Yet I had noticed our water was not filled within 10 minutes. Now let's talk about the salad bar. The bar was almost empty, nothing in the salad bar was fresh. I had many Brazilian food before and that was the worst I've had in almost long while. With my experience with the cultured food, since the salad bar was cold I had expected the meat to be warm. It was not. It took forever for us to get the full meat course. We even had to ask if we could get the other meats we had not gotten within an hour in. They never brought the other assorted meat. Now let's talk about the Crab Cake and the Lobster. I've had Lobster and Crab Cake from the west coast fresh many times. The Lobster my wife and her sister had was bland. My Crab Cake was awful. The seasoning was way too much, and keep in mind I let the whole table try it. The seasoning was so bad I went to the bathroom 3 times, worst part is that the bathrooms always had a line. So I had to ask them if it was the crab cake, they all said it was. So we decided to talk to the host about the crab cake. The host was trying to have me think I had an allergy to Crab, shell and the oil in it. I do not, I've had many crab cake before and our server even hyped it up. Then we had learned many people were sending it back today. Yet he was still persistent on me being allergic. I would get if the restaurant was busy, yet it's a Brazilian restaurant with servers who work as a team. We did not see that today. Very poor for the price, I'd rather go to McDonald's. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I gave it about three chances, but I am honestly disappointed. My last visit was unfortunately the worst of all three. If you have ever been to a Rodizio style restaurant like this in Brazil, you would also be really disappointed. To start, Fogo de Chão is known for having a small buffet, which in general is usually fine because they come around with really good meat options. However, if you are doing a small buffet, the least you expect is that you are doing an excellent job with the few options you have. Unfortunately that is not true. I've checked a few times and it took them a really long time to replace a few items, including sliced cheese, prosciutto, and even their feijoada. That is not a great experience, especially for the price they charge. Another problem is that Service is so slow that it took at least 10 minutes to get my cup filled with water after we were seated. Now let's talk about their meat service. I would choose to go to Fogo de chão for its additional variety of cuts, compared to Braza or Rodizio Grill, but it would be awesome if we could actually get those extra cuts--for example, lamb chops or beef ribs among others. Those I have not even seen. When I asked my server, he said those were not even being made at the moment, which is a shame. But even worse, there were huge gaps of no meat coming to our table, which is a bad experience, especially at the start of service. In a true Brazilian steak house you know that sometimes you barely have time to breathe in between meat cuts being offered to you. That was not the case. We had to complain to our server that we were not being properly served, and then, thankfully, things improved. But honestly, you shouldn't have to ask, and to make things even worse, my wife only eats well‑done, and for at least the first 30‑40 minutes she didn't eat any meat. As I said, I really wanted to love this place, but you are better off going to Rodizio or Braza Grill, as at the end you are paying much less for the same meat cuts. read more

I finally tried the Fogo in Murray during the holiday craziness, and it was kind of a mixed bag. Getting in was weird. I called earlier and was told if we showed up around 8-ish we'd probably wait 20-30 minutes. We got there around 7:45 and got hit with the "no reservation, no chance" vibe... then told to come back later... then another host said the same thing... and then the original hostess recognized us and got us in. We ended up seated around 9, and she was honestly awesome. After that, the night was a mixed bag of good and disappointing." Our server kept drinks coming and checked on us, which was great. But the table next to us stayed dirty for like half our meal, which highly unlikely of the restaurant. And the biggest bummer: a bunch of meats we were waiting for either never came around, or we were basically told it was late and they weren't bringing out certain cuts anymore. Felt like everyone was in "let's wrap it up" mode. We still had a good time, but for about $186 (no alcohol) it didn't feel like we got the full experience. It was mainly the same rotation of food. The diff variety got skipped. Or they would skip half of the table. Was unsure if we had a dedicated associate. Didn't get clear instructions of how the process worked. YOU have to ask for certain items. They don't JUST come to you like other places. 5/5 Very good service at refilling drinks and getting sides for the table. Save your money. Every cut of steak desperately needed the chimichurri they bring to your table. One of their waiters must think I'm an idiot who didn't read the menu as when I asked about the lamb chops he stated that we only got the Full Churrasco and he'd be happy to upgrade us to the Indulgent Churrasco if we wanted that. By then I was annoyed and didn't bother referring him to the menu. This same waiter offered to get us the dessert menu that we'd asked for but ended up disappearing to hang out by the bar for the rest of our evening. We sat for a long time on green with no one passing by. When Gaucho's did come by, they brought the same three cuts of meat. Rodizio's tastes better and costs less than Fogo. The reason I'm giving Fogo 3 stars instead of 2 is because the drinks were delicious as was the creme brulee and potato salad. read more
