*As a vegetarian*, I got plenty to eat between the salad bar and sides brought to the table. For vegetarian protein, the only option was some plain cold beans. They only have the feijoada (beans) loaded with meat, as is traditional. I would be over the moon if they offered a vegetarian feijoada! The pao de queijo (cheese bread) was the best I've ever had, brought fresh to the table. The mashed potatoes, fried banana and grilled pineapple were also excellent. Would I choose to go there of my own accord though? No absolutely not, that is until they start serving vegetarian feijoada! Please!!! read more

If you are looking for an elevated bar menu and main character vibes, this is the place! The patio is beautiful and comfy with fire pit and white linen details. Highly recommend the crab cake, and I'm a seafood snob from Maryland, so this is the real deal! Most incredible I've found in SLC! The filet mignon board was also amazing! We were so swept up and hungry, we forgot to take pictures of entrees. Next time for sure! The moscato wine was generous and served in the largest beautiful glass, a bounty! The cucumber splash drink was refreshing and delicious, perfect compliments to our pairings! Loved the patio and bar bites! This was perfect after a girls day of retail therapy, just the ending we needed! We will be back often! I'd like to try the full Brazilian experience and wine room! This was our first experience at Fogo de Chão in Murray - 9 of us attended for a 6:30 pm birthday celebration. Upon entering, the ambiance felt upscale, but that's about where the highlight ends. After being directed to our table, we sat while the hostess placed our menus at an adjacent table while she retrieved a highchair. After several minutes, unattended, no waters, or anything, I got up and distributed the menus to our party. Still no one came. Finally she and our waiter arrived with the highchair and a long but definitely intriguing explanation of the menu that left us eagerly anticipating the food and flavors we were about to experience. Unfortunately, the market bar pickings were sparse with most trays needing to be replenished which didn't happen for some time. Timing of the meat service left us feeling rushed. Though most of the cuts were flavorful, we were not wow'd by the experience. One server even plopped a cut of meat into our guest-of-honor's water glass splashing the other guests around him. No replacement water glass was given. In fact, none of our beverages were refilled. The delicious-sounding sides and sauces that we were anticipating never came. We had to ask for them, then they finally came towards the end of our meal when most of us were full. At $86 per person, the esthetics of the restaurant, and the hyped up speech of the server (whom we only saw twice), it was a let down of an experience. Came in on a Friday night for a friend's birthday. Our reservation was at seven, but we weren't able to get seated until 715. I really like the design of the bar area. I didn't like the flags all over felt like it took away from the restaurant design. I'm sure it's for the World Cup! They have a $59 deal online if you mention it and it includes pretty much everything but the additional side. I was a little worried that we wouldn't get enough food, but there was plenty of meat going around. Save room, especially if you want to try different cuts because they're cooking as they go. This is the first time I've been to this location. I showed up at the restaurant and they said at the front they were not taking any walk-ins because they had a big party that came to the restaurant. I asked them if there were reservations on the website and they said no. I stepped outside and looked at open table and there were available reservations. I immediately got a reservation for 5 minutes later and walk back in with a reservation. They told me they weren't accepting walk-ins and I told them I had a reservation. This was absolutely laziness by the person at the front knowing that I could have gotten a reservation on open table when they told me there were no more reservations. I will never step foot in this restaurant ever again. read more

I've been here twice now. Once for brunch and once for dinner. Unreal service and ambiance in both settings. The brunch had additional options at the nugget to include custom omelette and waffles. They were however out of waffles so we didn't get to try it... we dressed more casual for lunch. For dinner you absolutely need a reservations. And it's so fun cause you can dress up! Such a classy white tablecloth establishment. Please get the Brazilian lemonade. It. Is. So. Good. Ugh! We also got the waygu steak for the table. It's dinner and show when you order that! It feeds 2-4 people depending on how much you eat. They slice it at your table and transfer it to a hot salt rock so you can further sear it to your liking. We were sat down immediately with our reservations on a Saturday right before Christmas and got to ordering right away. The staff was incredible and took care of us - we felt like we were home. The market table had a great variety of salads, fruits, vegetables, and other items that accompanied the meal well. Once we started the meat rotations, we didn't try a meat we didn't like, however my *only* complaint is that there were supposedly 18 different meats available, but we only saw the same 7-8 rotating around. When we were done with the meal, we started to see different meats enter the rotation, which was a little disappointing considering we were there at 6:30 and left around 8:15. I really wish we would've gotten to see more of the meats before it was too late. Other than that, the service was fantastic. The Managers checked on us often asking if everything was good, and the gauchos really took care of us. Shout out to Alan (Manager), Tiffanie (server), Alex, and Gerson (gauchos), for making us feel like we're family. The price point is pretty high compared to the other Brazilian steakhouses, but from what I understand, this is on par with other Fogos as well. I can't wait to come back another day! read more

Came here on a date with my husband for a date night! We both got the 'Indulgent Churrasco'! One of us picked 'Butter-Bathed Lobster Tail' and the other picked 'Roasted Bone Marrow' we were both VERY impressed with both, but obsessed with the Roasted Bone Marrow! We'd definitely comeback JUST for the Bone Marrow! We had a special request for beef only and EVERY SINGLE SERVING was cooked perfectly to a medium rare! The salad bar was BEAUTIFUL, the colors and the way to was laid out. Absolutely stunning! It was recommended that we both got the $10.00 cocktails. This might be the best brazillian steakhouse I've been to. I would definitely say that the meats were cooked extremely well, even the drinks were fantastic, but the greatest separator between the others is the service. The staff was fantastic, and remembered how you like your meat cooked, if one skewer was well done, they would come back around with another one at medium rare. The selection was good, but the service was better. I do feel that their salad/sides bar was a little lack luster compared to the meats being offered. Though there were several items I was surprised to see, like smoked salmon and dragon fruit. I would definitely recommend visiting once, but I know that the price point of the restaurant was significantly higher than some of the others, and that might be a deterrent for me to visit unless there was a specific reason for going. They do have a reward program, but that does require several visits to get a reward. The restaurant itself is brand new, and a great spot to visit. With the restaurant just opening this week the staff did a very good job. Water glasses were never more than half empty and we constantly had someone stop by to see if they could do anything to help us enjoy our stay. They even offered to have the kitchen make us something if we didn't see anything that we liked. All of the food was very fresh right off the grill. They had someone slicing fruit for the salad bar right in front of us. My favorites were the ribeye steak, filet minon, bacon wrapped steak, and the picahana. read more

Visited Fogo De Chao on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, we snagged reservations a couple months before! I got the Full Churrasco experience and my boyfriend got the Indulgent Churrasco with the lobster tail. All of the meats were perfectly cooked and juicy, we both liked the Picanha most. I got the skinny Caipirinha and it was alright. From what I understand, this location only recently opened up. I could tell they are still a little disorganized when it came to serving our table and keeping items in stock at the market table. Our experience still went pretty well, I think after a couple more months they should be running more smooth and I'd like to try them out another time! read more

This is our new favorite restaurant. We came on a Saturday night so I would suggest making reservations. It was last minute thought. The lovely hostess, Taylor, seated us after a short wait at a table just adjacent to the dining room in area the bar. It was great. My girlfriend is Brazilian and she raved about how great the place was and how much it reminded her of Brazil. She was my tour guide and knew what to ask for what was coming. The salad bar was fantastic. Next time I won't overdo it, but I can't believe this restaurant has received bad reviews over the salad bar and the service and the meats. That was not our experience in any such matter. Our server was the Bartender Paul, and he did a great job keeping us served with water and drinks for my girlfriend. It was not his primary job to be a server, but he took care of us. The rare meat just kept coming. It was delicious. What was particular notice was floor manager Augusto who came over and made sure that we were having a great time. Very friendly and it was nice talking to him. He came over several times and then at the end of the night one of the managers, Alexander, came and spoke with us and even walked us out and opened the door for us. This restaurant is there to please. It is our new favorite restaurant. It definitely deserves a higher overall review status. I'm recommended it to all my friends. Meats came around a bit slow and not as many varieties as I would like. Food: You're paying for the quality and ambiance basically, and of course everyone gets the $65 experience with the salad bar and rotating meats. Everything was pretty delicious, but I thought the salad bar was a bit lacking in variety. Meats were good. No grilled pineapples but apparently they can make them upon request, it just takes a while. We visited recently with a reservation for a group of 10, and overall had a decent experience, but there were a few things worth noting. The space itself feels a bit tight, but the ambiance is nice, slightly dark, very open, and the Andover layout works well. The bar area is spacious and the drinks were very good. The service was genuinely great. Even though they had just opened, the servers were well-informed and very kind. The front staff, however, came off a bit rude, but it wasn't a big deal. The owner/manager even stopped by our table to check in, which we appreciated. We ordered the meat service, which was good, but the salad bar felt limited compared to other Brazilian steakhouses. We also tried the salmon, and unfortunately it was extremely dry... almost not edible, which was disappointing, especially for the price. Speaking of price... everything is on the expensive side. The lunch and dinner menus are basically the same, but dinner jumps up by $20-$40 with no change in offerings, which feels hard to justify. On a positive note, the restroom was cute, clean, and spacious. Overall, there were highlights and good service, but there's definitely room for improvement considering the cost. read more

She turned us away, I walked outside and made a reservation for 5 minutes later online and walked in. For a $65 per person price point you'd expect better service and selection. Then the meat started coming, I asked if they had Fraldinha, they said yes and the after asking for it 5 times, it finally came to us for the very last meat. The rest of the meat was about the same quality as Tucanos or Rodizios. Not worth the price point. In addition to this the service was terrible. Our waitress came by our table once in the beginning then once at the end. We ordered a drink and had to ask for it twice to get it, it took 15 minutes to get our soda. We then had to flag down a manager to ask for a refill after sitting there waiting. The cheese bread was good, we also had to ask several people more than once to bring us a refill until we finally got more bread. Other free appetizer sides were subpar. The service, the salad bar and the meat selection does not match the price point. Bring back Texas de Brazil!!! read more

We have gone to Fogo de Chao in NYC and loved it. We went for an engagement party for friends, one of which is from Brazil who wanted to try this restaurant. She has been to all the Brazilian restaurants in the area. First I want to say the service was excellent!! The food on the other hand was not as good as the one in NYC. The portions sliced were too big and our native Brazilian and other friends from the area were not impressed. I missed the sausage, never offered and meat slices were too big. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very upscale atmosphere, but unfortunately the service did not live up to the premium prices. Our experience was disappointing from the start. At the buffet, foods that should have been served hot, such as the rice and beans, were cold. It also took more than 30 minutes before the servers started bringing the meat to our table, and the meat itself was underseasoned. To make matters worse, one of the servers accidentally spilled meat sauce on my clothes. Overall, I don't feel the experience justified the price.
