Here is my pup Riip being the official greeter. He loves it here.

Awesome great place. Everyone so friendly and the new owner is now a friend. Lots of changes coming.

The service was great! She was friendly and helpful. We had chorizo breakfast burrito and sausage breakfast tacos. Each came with their homemade salsa. Fun kind of bar atmosphere. Looking forward to going back and trying some of their lunch/dinner items.

Wasn't greeted till I made it all the way to the coffee bar. Maybe they knew I wasn't a local. I love going to local spots to show love and support wish I got the same treatment here. I'd come back to give it another shot. Ordered a pour over coffee and they were out so I settled for late which was only okay. Oh yeah and there were maybe 5 ppl in here when I came in. I'll be back for a pour over

My son who absolutely loves breakfast burritos, just ate his, and said it's so good. The only thing he'd improve is putting hash browns instead of potatoes, but I think he's found his new favorite place

Enjoyed a quick stop here after a busy beach day in Avila. We stopped by for a beer before dining and staying in Morro Bay overnight. Wish we would have tried some of the bar snacks here, the tater tots looked great. Friendly welcome at the bar and it was cool seeing a Clovis - Crow and Wolf - on tap. Liked the indoor/outdoor setup and patio/deck area. Hope to come back on our next beach day.

    Yum! Michelada!

Cool spot! Close to the water and the perfect place to grab a Sunday Michelada after a walk through the Cloisters!

Tried the Cheesesteak. They use TriTip. Not the right cut for this sandwich. Too much gristle. The beer was really good.

Great local spot to grab a beer and really good comfort food. Female daytime bartender was fantastic. My new regular spot for lunch.

As soon as we walked in the vibe was weird- it reminded me of the movie Get Out. There were zero women in the place- just the male bartender and 3 male patrons. No music playing, no conversation. Just silent. We were 3 women walking into this creepy male dominated bar but didn't care because we were just there to have fun. In hindsight we should have walked right back out. My girlfriend and her cousin had to use the restroom so I sat down at the bar to wait for them and order us drinks. Right away the bartender approached me and in a very unwelcoming tone told me "just so you know I've already called last call". I checked the time, it was 12:30. We had had a late dinner the next town over and had just gotten back and were looking forward to a nightcap in this town we love to visit so much. Now, we all know that bars close at 2, (it even says that on their hours when you Google it) so I was confused. I looked at the clock, looked back at the bartender, and said "it's not even 1 yet. Are you not open until 2?" To which he VERY rudely and condescendingly replied, "what, did you see that online somewhere one time?" and was visibly annoyed that I dare even ask a harmless question. At this point I had felt completely unwelcome and was basically in fight or flight mode because I could tell he just wanted a problem. Ok, you got it. I asked him what his problem was and he stammered over his words like he was surprised I could even hold my own. His goofy ass buddy playing pool stepped in as his backup at this point reiterating that last call had in fact already been called. I said "ok, that's fine, but he didn't need to be so rude about it". To which the dork playing pool replied "he wasn't being rude at all actually", like ok, are you hoping to go home with him or something? I said "you must have not heard the way he was speaking to me then" at which point this man towering over me started raising his voice and YELLING at me "I'm standing right here I heard the whole thing!" at this point I was honestly ready for whatever was coming next but by then my girlfriend and her cousin were coming out of the bathroom completely unaware of what was happening so I just called them all assholes and told my girlfriend "we're leaving, these guys are f***ing weird" and we left. The 5'4" male bartender followed us out and stood on the sidewalk as we walked to our car, I guess he was trying to look tough but our group of 3 women were all taller than him. I said loudly that he clearly has little man syndrome as we left and that was it. I have no idea what his problem was. We are very friendly and respectful people and were there to have a drink or two and a few laughs before going back to our hotel for the night and instead I was met with *attempted* intimidation by *mostly* fully grown men. I guess they wanted the place all to themselves for their little circle jerk sausage party. Won't be back. Ever. I've been a server and bartender for over 15 years and could never imagine treating anyone this way. It was truly disgusting for absolutely NO reason at all, and based on all the other reviews complaining about what is clearly the same guy, it astonishes me that this is the type of person they want representing their business. Horrible service and environment. Legends owner, I'm talking to you. Shameful.

The funny statues at the front give the place a unique atmosphere, and the architecture/interior of the building has a classic Cheers-like feeling to it. It's spacious and roomy on the inside with nice furnishings and it has a beautiful wooden bar area if you appreciate those things. There's also a patio with tables out front which is perfect if you have dogs. The service was super great and friendly, and also everyone we met was really friendly. It's definitely a locals hangout, everyone there was a local. While we were there we ended up talking to several people and they were all really nice. My friend and I were both clearly out of towners and both the bartender and the local people were super cool, so we definitely had a difference experience from the last two reviewers. I will say though, they do close on the somewhat earlier side, I think they closed around 12-12:30 on a Thursday when we were there so don't expect to be staying there till 2am. If you're stopping through town, honestly I think this place is a hidden gem that's worth putting on your list of places to visit.

Did some quick Yelp researching for places with clam chowder and fish and chips. This place had the…read morebetter reviews. On a quick day trip on a Friday afternoon, we decided to give this place a try. No reservation and were promptly greeted and seated. Although we did not have a full bay view, we had a partial bay view. Some hits and misses with food and service. 1. Bowl of Clam Chowder (no bread bowls available). Chowder was piping hot and had nice pieces of clams (dad got a bit of clam shell..so be careful), celery and potatoes. The chowder was very creamy and not grainy or watery like other locations. I would definitely order again 5/5 2. Fish & Chips: Fresh Pacific cod, lightly breaded, served with house-made tartar sauce. Fish was fried to perfection. 5/5 3. Seafood Pasta: Linguini with jumbo prawns, fresh catch, Cajun cream sauce, garlic bread. Everything tasted fresh and seasoned perfectly 5/5 4. Side of Garlic bread: extremely disappointing. We ordered garlic bread with our chowder, it never came. Waitress decided to serve it with the mains (fish and chips) and we ordered for the entire table and she only brought 2 pieces. 5. Insalata Molina: Mixed greens, arugula, pear, walnuts, crumbled blue cheese, mango vinaigrette. Couldn't tell you if this was any good bc the waitress NEVER brought but charged us for it. She then takes it off the bill and brings me the salad in a Styrofoam container. I told her I didn't want it and put it in my bag. Salad was so soggy (which means the kitchen prepared it and the waitress forgot to serve it) I would not order and do not recommend ordering it bc it was the size of a side salad definitely not worth the price point. 6. Mocktail Lavender lemonade: definitely not balanced, was pretty tart and again the price point was off. It was about 8oz lemonade for $12 They do offer a nice selection of wines. Restrooms are located outside the restaurant and are public restrooms, pretty dirty and out of stock. Although our service was a big miss, I do recommend the food items we ordered. I did take a star off due to the service.

Unfortunately, each visit has felt a little less impressive than the one before it, and this most recent experience was disappointing enough that I probably would not return. Parking is usually easy, and I have never had to walk more than a couple of minutes. There are also a couple of EV spaces nearby. When my girlfriend and I walked inside, the restaurant felt unusually warm, humid, and stuffy. It was uncomfortable enough that we briefly considered leaving. We chose outdoor seating instead, but that comes with its own drawbacks. The tables are exposed to the afternoon sun, pedestrians walk just feet away, vehicles pass close by, and the working dock is nearby, so you hear forklifts, unloading equipment, and active fishing operations throughout the meal. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which I have ordered on all three visits. They were good and are honestly one of the main reasons I have continued returning. They are not easy to find where I live, and this version is enjoyable, even if it is not on the level of what I have had in places like New Orleans. My girlfriend ordered the clam chowder with bacon. We have been comparing clam chowders around the Central Coast, and unfortunately this one ranked last among the several we have tried so far. She described it as average and nothing memorable. I ordered the steamer clams, and this was easily the biggest disappointment. The very first clam I ate had noticeable grit in it, and unfortunately that continued through most of the bowl. I would estimate that the majority of the clams had some amount of sand or grit, which made them unpleasant to eat. I also found one clam that remained completely closed after cooking. I left it untouched. At a restaurant specializing in seafood, I expected more careful preparation and inspection. The broth was also surprisingly bland. I ended up adding hot sauce just to give it more flavor. As I worked through the broth, I also noticed three small hairs. I cannot say where they came from, but finding multiple hairs in the same dish was understandably concerning and further reduced my appetite. The service did not help. Our server took our order, delivered drinks and food, and eventually brought the check, but there was very little interaction between those points. No one checked whether we needed anything or asked how the food was going. That was especially frustrating because if someone had checked in, I would have had an opportunity to mention the problems with the clams while I was eating them. Overall, the Oysters Rockefeller were still good, but almost everything else about this visit was disappointing: the uncomfortable indoor environment, noisy outdoor seating, average chowder, gritty clams, bland broth, cleanliness concerns, and minimal service. I have enjoyed this restaurant more in the past, but after this experience, I think there are other places around Morro Bay where I would rather spend my money.
