Very clean (very good sign that this place is good!)

Who would think liquor store makes great sandwich? Here's how to order, grab the menu at the counter and wait in line to pay at register first! When food is ready, your number will be called. Once I saw Yellow fin (Ahi) tuna sandwich $11.95 on the menu and saw the sealed Ahi Tuna with pink center photo on Yelp, I had to get that ... The portion seem bigger than most sandwiches you could get, the Togo boxes were so heavy, I thought, while walking to the car with two heavy boxes on my hands. It's love at first bite, despite I hate all the greasy on my fingers and it's messy to eat..:P Ahi Tuna was looked perfectly as I liked, and I think they also toasted bread with Mayo on the grill, that's why it's so greasy but SO GOOD! Simple, fresh and delicious. I don't think there's lot of great places to eat in Morro Bay but this is one of them:)

Nice selection of alcohol but pricey

If you know me you know that I have no shame getting my food from a gas station!! Of course as long as its quality! I'm far from being bougie. Not trying to impress anyone but my taste buds! Hands down they make the best Club Sandwich I've ever had. If you don't care for sprouts ask for them to leave them out. The price tag of $10 is just for the Sandwich!! Doesnt include a side. But its worth every penny!

Great spot! Welcoming staff. Amazing selection of booze. It's the best kept secret about Morro Bay. Tried breakfast for the first time today. Gravy and biscuits are like grandma made them. Burrito was tasty as well as the salsa. A little too much egg for me. Wanted more potatoes.

Great place for breakfast. Between their sandwiches, burritos, plates, and biscuits and gravy they are hard to beat, especially at the price point. Great selection of liquor and beer of course, but the food is what keeps bringing people back. Its a good spot to grab a quick and tasty breakfast. I need to try more of their lunch offerings, but wasn't quite as happy with their burgers as I have been with the breakfasts. Can't really go wrong with grabbing a bite to eat here though and taking it down to the beach to enjoy.

Amazing food! Robust menu and beer selection. Get the grilled cheese. Only negative thing is not being able to drink the delicious beer in the eating area. Still a great place and great food.

    Pastrami and Rye Sandwhich

Fantastic. That is all that needs to be said, but let me explain. I ordered the Pastrami and Rye, and my expectations were blown out of the water. Juicy, Tender pastrami. Perfectly grilled onions. 2 slices of greasy rye bread, both toasted perfectly. Their in-shop menu says it all: You pay for a sandwich, not a view. But I reckon that I paid for both. Stunning to both your eyes and taste buds. I'll be back soon for the Chicken Fried Steak Burrito!!! The sandwiches are 10 dollars, with no sides. Worth. Every. Cent. The customer service was fantastic as well! The cooks and owner were all friendly and ready to chat!

One half of the club sandwich - perfectly layered and has thick cut bacon!

After checking into our hotel in Morro Bay we started searching Yelp for the best places to eat. Stumbled upon Bottle Liquor and was hoping it was a gem....it was! Turned out it was just next door to our hotel too! The liquor is pretty standard pricing but they have a good selection of unique brands and local wines. The real winner here is the deli inside! The first time we stayed here we enjoyed the breakfast burrito - loaded with thick cut bacon and only $6!!! The deck of cards we purchased here cost more . We tried the club sandwich today and it was delish and still fairly priced at $12. This thing was packed with fresh veggies, meats, that thick cut bacon and wrapped up in some toasted bread. The pepperjack cheesesteak met looks like it'll be next for us. Staff is very friendly too! We will continue to stop in during our trips to Morro Bay.

An excellent Club sandwich... what a surprise! they serve breakfast, seafood favorites, burgers and great sandwiches. Lots of variety of soft drinks and adult beverages . Pick up and go sit in one of the areas scenic parks! Big and tasty! Alfalfa sprouts pickles too, eat Inside or outside sitting area. It's a liquor w a great deli inside.

Great place great people. It's a small local hometown store. But the selection is huge. Largest selection for many miles. Great vibes.

Great local liquor store. Big selection of booze and snacks, as well as a nice little shirt-order grill.

I was going to go around them, but then they all went into the store. Only one put his mask on, the other two just waltzed right in. Turned out these were the owner and his buddies, or at the very least someone who worked there. I waited a bit for the air to clear and then went into the store to start to gather my items. I should have just walked away then!! I got through one row and was starting on the second row when I saw one of them go get a soda - with no mask!! He saw me and quickly put on his mask, sort of like an afterthought. I immediately returned the items I had chosen and walked quickly out the door. I will NOT return here, they don't respect the safety of their customers or their workers!! And this during the worst time in the pandemic, where cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are increasing at an alarming rate. They should be ashamed of themselves. Throughout this pandemic I have shopped here several times a week, buying a lot of overpriced goodies. I have probably spent $30-$50 a week here since April. They will definitely notice that they have lost a good customer since I won't be shopping here again. The one star is for the cashiers who are always polite and wear their masks.

Memorial Day weekend on the Central Coast is always a negotiation with chaos. Tourists flood the…read morebeaches, traffic crawls through Pismo, and every scenic overlook suddenly becomes a photoshoot for people who discovered the central coast three days ago. So my girlfriend and I did what locals do this afternoon: we tried to escape the madness and disappear into Los osos for a few hours. Not that there's any "sneaking into" High Street Deli. That line is eternal. It exists outside the laws of time and tourism. Rain or shine, weekday or holiday weekend, there will always be a crowd gathered outside chasing the same thing: the perfect sandwich on the perfect California afternoon. And honestly? They're right. Nothing beats a High Street sando on a sunny day. You grab a Dutch Punch and a cold Cali Squeeze and suddenly everything slows down. The sandwich arrives absurdly overstuffed with layers of turkey, extra bacon, jalapeño havarti, onion, tomato, avocado, chipotle mayo, Dutch crunch bread that's barely surviving the structural pressure holding the whole masterpiece together. It's messy in the way all truly great food is messy. No pretension. No carefully curated "elevated deli experience." Just pure Central Coast comfort engineered for people who spent the morning surfing, hiking Montana de Oro, or sitting in beach traffic questioning their life choices. And the Cali Squeeze? Citrus beer sweating in the afternoon heat while ocean air drifts through Los Osos. That's the high locals chase all summer long. What hurts is admitting publicly how good this place really is. Every local wants to protect High Street like a secret fishing spot. You want visitors to enjoy the coast, just maybe somewhere else first. But denying High Street its flowers would feel dishonest. Because this place is the heartbeat of the Central Coast in summertime. The patio fills with surfers, old locals in sun-faded hats, Cal Poly kids, dogs asleep under picnic tables, couples lingering over beers because nobody here is ever truly in a hurry. Somebody's talking about swell conditions. Somebody else is debating whether to head to Morro Bay after lunch. The smell of sandwiches, sunscreen, and salt air hangs over everything. It's not glamorous. It's better than glamorous. It's real. And somewhere between the first bite of a Dutch Punch and the first sip of a Cali Squeeze, you remember why people who grow up on the Central Coast never fully leave even when they move away. Because they spend the rest of their lives trying to recreate afternoons like this.

Problem...the stores have different items. I had chosen a sandwich that wasn't offered here. We filled out our order forms. I recreated that sandwich to the best of my ability. It had turkey and veggies and cranberry on Dutch crunch bread. We also ordered a Dutch Punch sandwich and a build your own chicken cutlet sandwich. We got two orders and fries, an order of onion rings and 3 fountain drinks. The food arrived at different times as the order was ready. All the food was good. The sandwiches were good sized with lots of filling. The fries were great. The onion rings were the star. They were light and crispy and we all loved them. Parking is not easy in this area. It took a few circles to find a spot. We got a table right away. There was a kitchen-like play area for the kids. That kept them busy while we waited 20-30 minutes for food. Cute shop. They had stickers and baked goods and gifty items. Woman at the counter was a little impatient with customers. One surprise was the total price. Three sandwiches, three drinks, two fries and an order of onion rings plus tip was almost $97. Never had such an expensive sandwich in my life!
