I would give them a 3.5 They service serialized glasses- however make sure you buy the warranty. I needed to replace my lenses for the same "spot" cracking, after the second time they admitted the measurements were incorrect this is why they cracked prematurely. However-they didn't volunteer any added time for inconvenience or add to the number of times being warranted. In addition-for customer service I had a pair of prescription sunglasses which were not dark enough. I didn't want to make the same mistake again, so I purchased them as dark as possible. I got a headache after first use- I googled and found out-if lenses are too dark it can cause eye strain with head aches. I would think if a customer is paying over $650 for lenses-you would offer that information so I could make an informed decision. Unfortunately I had to google this information and find out after the fact. it was a waste of $650- The staff is friendly -but if they were more educated to assist customers it would be much more appreciated. read more

Nguyen or an additional optometrist. Her professional expertises and friendliness have always brought me back annually. Vision equipment is up to date. The business practices social distancing, masks, hand washing, and sanitizing throughout. Timeliness on cutting frames to ordering prescribed contacts is very reasonable. My visit (eye exam for glasses & contact lenses) was quick, informative, easy, safe (COVID-19 precautions in place) and so worth it. Focus Optical was a pleasure to go to. They were very prompt with my eye exam and took me back as soon as I got there. The machines looked very up to date, especially the one that photographs your eyes and screens for any potential problems behind the eye. I was able to address all my issues and concerns and they took that into account when prescribing my lens. For someone that stares at a computer all day, they had just what I needed. I've thought long and hard about writing this yelp review. Do I really need to let others know my (great) experience here? Well, because this is a new optical center in the area, the doctor is fabulous and her support staff are the best, then I guess I will! The façade: New. Very clean. Welcoming the minute you step into the shop. Once you walk in the shop: Clean, streamline displays. Check-in at left, front. No chair behind the desk. To the right - Check-out. Check-in: Easy, peasy! They take pretty much all of the major brands/carriers of vision insurance. Pre-optical testing (puff of annoying air in the eyes, barn test, peripherals): Clean room. All equipment testing from left to right. I actually had my daughter with me (first time getting an eye appointment done since having her last year) and it didn't go as quickly as I'd hope, after having my daughter in my arms the entire test... That's more of the story below... Eye exam: Dr. Nguyen is fantastic. Very personable and nice. Genuine is how I'd like to really describe her. I love that she had the patience with my daughter being a wiggle worm the entire time.. even called her assistant in to help with the last part of the exam. The staff: Fantastic! Very helpful. Very kind. I walked in looking like a hot mess off the streets. Probably the latest in my daughter's food on my shoulder, hair in a messy (not cute) bun, sweating because (why not) it's 100 degrees outside. Many of places I've walked into have taken a look at me and walked over to the next person in line/at the display and have asked if they need any assistance with anything... Not Focus Optical... They were so attentive and caring about my situation (daughter being a hot mess like her mom) that Dr. Nguyen even said "Mom's know when a mom's having a day... I'm here to help!" That one sentence right there is enough to make me come back and spend $1000 each time. The selection: Name brand, high-designer. Just like I love it! Did not have to scour through the nameless, cheap brands. Everything here is organized like a type-A personality likes them. In a row, labeled and sectioned off. What a dream! My sunglasses have twisted at the temple arm and I did not know where to go. I ended up asking help at Focus Optical and while their colleague said he can't promise anything, he managed to repair my glasses in few minutes. Dr. Nguyen is fantastic! I've have vision and eye problems since I was a child. We moved to the Woodlands and a friend recommended Focus as the best optometrist in the area. Boy were they right! I have dealt with itchy and painful eyes for YEARS thinking it was seasonal allergies, because that's what I was told by several other optometrists, but it still continued. When I went to Dr. Nguyen, she was the one to tell me I had an allergy to the contacts I was wearing. I had no idea for about 6 YEARS. First time having Dr. Nguyen and her staff handle my eye exam and it went phenomenally well! Easy location to find. Was greeted by her excellent front staff when I walked in and they quickly got me checked in, asked if I wanted a water or coffee and took me to begin the first steps of the exam. I was offered additional services yet not pressured to purchase them. That's something I'm really grateful for as I have often been shamed for not getting my eyes dilated during a visit at other optometrists offices. Once I was in the room working with Dr. Nguyen the positive experience continued. She is an absolute professional. Thoroughly checked my vision, detailed what her findings were, made sure I understood everything she was saying and asked if there was anything else I needed to discuss in regards to vision concerns or general inquiries. My 4-yr old son was seen by Dr. Hanh Dinh last week to confirm a vision screening from his preschool. She was outstanding and was able to make my son comfortable and cooperate during the entire comprehensive exam. Dr. Dinh confirmed the amblyopia ("lazy eye") on his left eye and provided a course of action(s) to correct it. We are so grateful that my son got early vision screening in school and more grateful that Dr. Thy Nguyen's Focus Optical was able to provide a superb pediatric optometrist, Dr. Dinh. The experience at Focus was so good, we returned our glasses and bought here instead. The selection is great and includes high-end designers you can't easily find. The shop has ambiance (can you believe it, an optometrist/optical shop has ambiance) and is beautiful. Appointment was easy to make online. Follow up was prompt.
