Eye Trends called since my 2026 benefits started in January to see about a check up. I appreciated the call and later went online to set up the appointment which is really easy. When I arrived I had about a 10 minute wait before Anna took me back for testing my eyes which took maybe 5-10 minutes she was friendly and professional. She showed me to my exam room where I saw Dr. Do who I had seen last year as well. She is super nice, easy to talk to, told me what had changed since my last visit and answered all my questions. Anna took me over to pick frames and choose my options. She patiently waited as I think I took 20 minutes deciding on frames. The check out process was quick. I was there maybe an hour and a half total and plan to return for any future needs I may have for eyewear. read more

I've been coming here since Dr. Toups was here but it simply is not the same....go somewhere else !!! I was in for an exam a few weeks ago. The initial part of the exam went well until I was moved to the smaller exam room to wait for the Dr. to come in for the exam. Mind you when I arrived, there was no one waiting. 30 minutes later, yes, 30 minutes later, I decided to walk out and ask for another Dr. The Dr. I was waiting for (Dr.Do) apologized and followed me back in for the 3-4 minute exam. I ordered my glasses there and they were ready in a week. I picked them up and immediately knew they were not right. They insisted I try them a few days first so I agreed. After wearing them at home that evening and night, I wore them for work the next day. They were useless, I couldn't use them at all so I returned there after work the next day to let them know the lenses were obviously ground wrong. They tried to strong arm me into keeping them noting I needed to adjust to them. Bottom line, this was going to be a waste of time so I asked for a refund. I used my "Flex card" for this transaction. I was told a couple of days for the refund to process on my card and a week to refund my insurance. Well, it's been over a week now and nothing !! Now I'm going to have to dispute the charge on my flex card and tell my insurance company what happened just to get a refund !!! I will be filing a complaint with my insurance company and let the HR department where I work know how they treat their patients. I'm beyond disappointed.....don't waste your time or money here.... read more

The doctor that checked my eyes must need glasses himself. Our lens prescription was way off. Went to another place for a second exam and this was confirmed. Don't trust your eyes to these guys. Waste of time and money and inferior eye doctors. read more

place has gone down hill! Exam rooms are dirty, they rush you through and then I was given glasses I could not see out of and no one seemed to care. I will not be going back after years of coming here. Time to find a new place! They also missed a bleed on my retina. Still waiting for my contact that we're ordered 10/15 during my office visit. . Have been told three times of different delivery dates. Today 12/4 I was supposed to receive them and guess what, still no contacts. I am still wearing my trial pair. According to Kiara (Office Manager) they always tell their customers to make sure they have a spare. 1. This is a new prescription 2. No you dont. Kiara, tried to tell me that it's UPSs fault and I would have to get the tracking number and find out from them what the hold up is. I have always paid Eye Trends and picked them up from Eye trends. Now, they take your money for the contacts and then tell you there is nothing they can do because it's between me and the manufacturer. I will be going up to the office and demanding a refund. I won't be back, It's a shame too because I used to like the place. read more

The ladies at the front desk are very nice, however, their manager Kiara, is not. I had been going here over 20 years and the staff and doctors were amazing, however, having a manager with little to no compassion and that seemingly has a power trip as soon as a patient asks a question is not okay. She interrupts her staff who are handling things to insert her rude tone and opinion. read more

My glasses were mismeasured and had to be remade. I came back to have glasses tightened and I told her the progressive lenses seemed "off." She remeasured and found them to be mismeasured again. I returned to Dr. Toups, who was nice enough to redo my prescription. But when I went to reorder and measure for the new lenses, I was given a speech by Carmen and the glasses manager how I would have to pay for any more adjustments. It insinuated that any of the adjustments so far had been my fault whatsoever. I will never return! read more

Terrible service. My husband went in for glasses, after a week they returned his glasses with the wrong prescription. Then asked him to wait another week to adjust, even after telling them the lenses were incorrect. So basically 3 weeks wasted just to change lenses. He is now asking for his prescription and they don't even have the capability of sending that info over. They didn't give him correct paperwork at his initial visit for me to get his info either - so he's stuck waiting again. Will NEVER use or recommend this office to anyone. read more

When you start signing your paperwork be weary of the contact lens fit form. Long story short the Dr made a genuine mistake or they are trying to generate revenue. Make sure you are fitted with the correct contacts because otherwise you will be overcharged. Also, there is a thicker hispanic woman there that is rude and wants to argue with you if you engage with her. If you can just go somewhere else for your exam. I will in the future. read more

I came here on a whim with a friend on a weekday evening. Her son was in desperate need of getting prescription lenses on his personal specialized frames, and we were hoping they could do it sooner rather than later because his eyesight was compromised. Tiffany (I think that was her name) was soooo helpful! We were prepared to pay the fee and return another day, but she was able to do it within the hour and her son left with clear vision and big smiles! I never heard of Eye Trends before, but they're definitely worth checking out in the future. I actually need to update my prescription as well. read more

Today I went to Eye Trends for my annual exam. After my exam I was sent to the optical side to get new lenses. Now I already had Tom Ford frames that I purchased from them in 2022, for 500.00. I was then told that in order to get my lenses put in, I would have to leave my frames and sign a release of liability. I did not have a problem leaving my frames. I did have a problem signing the release of liability, which stated that if my frames get lost or damaged during the installation Eye Trends is not responsible. The office manager came over and just said, "I heard you have a problem with the release. " I told her that I understood it but didn't feel that it was something that I should have to sign. She said, "If you don't sign it, we can't install your lenses"' and walked away. She was very rude and gave me no options. This is not the first time we have received poor customer service, last minute cancellation, and inflated costs from this establishment but it will be the last. read more

3/30. I arrived to pick up my contacts and glasses that I ordered but to find out that they were closed with a sign on the door saying they were closed. sort of like national lampoons vacation. " sorry folks parks close". I took time off work and paid 2 tolls along with fuel and now I'm being told I need to stop back again and incur the same charges or I can have them shipped to me for $20. They transferred to the office manager, Kyle who paste a repeated. Sorry that's their procedure. His superior Keisha was not in today so I can come back on Monday. This will be the last time that I ever use this facility much less this company. Pathetic customer service. However I have always been impressed with the Dr and Dr service. read more

The nurses are efficient and personable, the insurance acceptance is broad and well known, and Dr. Toups is charismatic and knowledgeable. Besides not satisfied with prescription result of new glasses (distance result of progressive glasses not good), after the fact, now charged an additional amount. When called to inquire as to reason, on hold for very long time before auto informed to leave name and number, and someone would call back. No one did. Repeat, left name and number again. Same result, no call back. Third time, after another long wait, now could not leave name and number because voice message box full. Operational inefficiency galore at this point. Waited after next threatening collection letter; called back again, and new option - voice box still full but could now hit "O" for Operator and voila, a real person. Quite polite - yet no explanation other than fine print somewhere trumps promises made at time of service that no further charges will be assessed [as told they had run the charges by my insurance company and my amount would be the out of pocket amount they were quoting and for which I paid at time of service). Disappointing operation coupled with cable service type customer service approach. Obviously my further $53 far more important to them than having a repeat customer. As long as they have been in business, very surprised they have made this long with the cavalier approach they have towards customer service and satisfaction. read more

My husband and I have come here for our last 2 eye exams and glasses, and will never be back. While the doctors we saw were thorough and pleasant, the office staff is disorganized and some are quite rude and argumentative. Each time I've felt like we were talked down to at the front desk, and that is just uncalled for. They have appointments that are late in the day, but don't dare schedule one - they will rush you through and make you feel like you've majorly inconvenienced them. If they don't want people there late, they shouldn't offer late appointments! Also, they don't have many frames in stock, and when you order frames they give you the ones on the wall instead of measuring your face and ordering a size that fits you. Even if I wore the size on the wall, I want some that haven't been tried on by someone else and stretched out; I think most people would. read more

I arrived at the office at 9:45 for my 10:00 appointment. I was greeted promptly, signed in, and since I had already filled out the paperwork they have on their website, I just had to fill out a few more things. And then I sat and waited. And waited. And waited. The office was quite packed. Phones were ringing and ringing, one didn't even get answered. It seemed quite hectic. At 10:45, I decided I did not want to wait any longer and could not see the point of giving this company any of my money. So I informed them I needed to leave. When they pulled my file out of the waiting list, there were still 2 more in front of mine. I also know that at least 2 people who arrived after me had been seen before me. Perhaps they had a different kind of appointment, I don't know. When I left was the 1st time I head anyone in the staff acknowledge they were running behind today. They knew that when I checked in at 9:45. Perhaps if they had told me, and the other customers, maybe I would have stayed it out because I really did want to get this done today. To be fair, most doctor's offices work the same way, don't see you when they are supposed to, but those aren't the doctor's offices that I go to. I also got a bit confused about the name. Todays Vision is listed here. Vision Trends was listed on my eye insurance website. And Eye Trends is what is on the sign of the business. All have the same address. Who knows what it means, but since I never saw a dr, I will never know. read more

Horrible staff. I'll never come back. I came in and I could tell right away that the secretaries and staff were very unorganized, rude and short with me. I need an eye exam and new reading glasses and sat and waited FOREVER before being seen. The female doctor who did the exam was nice but rushed the exam and the whole time I felt like a steer in a herd of cattle: "Move 'em in, move 'em out." The only thing missing was horns on my head and a bull whip in the doctor's hand. The biggest issue came with my insurance. Once i picked out my frames they quoted me the final price that was an obscene amount of money. And I have great vision insurance. The techs were insistent that it was the correct coverage so I paid it. At work the next day I got with HR and found all the details about the coverage....half the charges I paid for we're covered and I should not have paid for. I called the doctor's office up and complained. They looked up my file and said they couldn't find the exact coverage so they gave me a default discount instead. WHAT!!!??? I told them its their job to research and find my exact benefits and coverages. The lady was very rude, dismissive and couldn't have cared less. They end up refunding me 60% of my money back due to their lazy error. Their staff is so unprofessional and rude I'll never go back. read more

I brought my daughter to this shop for eye exam. I then ordered a pair of glass from eyebuydirect based on their prescription. The new glass arrived but made my daughter right eye blurry and felt dizzy. I went back to this shop and asked them to check again, they admitted they made a mistake on the prescription (they forgot to put the negative sign on the right eye cylinder value, see attached photo ) They just corrected the prescription and gave me the new prescription but would not compensate the cost of glass. The thing made me upset is they just say "mistake happens, everybody made mistakes". I will need to order another pair of glass for my daughter now. Why I am punished because of their mistakes? Will go to small claim court to sue them and we will never go to this shop again. read more

Each time I go in for an eye appointment I have to pay extra for equipment I don't want to use. AND I always get charged at least $75.00 extra that my wife has to call and get a refund. Last time I was in there to pick up my contacts the lady at the billing station couldn't even reach behind her to get my contacts, she had to call someone over to get them. I'm tired of their sneaky and rude staff. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

This was my first visit to Eye Trends. The staff was extremely helpful & professional -- everyone from the receptionist to the eye doctor himself. They all explained everything that was being done. I have been going to Dr Michael Toups...nice! He was out of town and they sent me to Dr. CHAD Toups. In all my many years of dealing with doctors, I have never had 1 that was so rude! He did absolutely nothing but charge me $100. I have been going to this eye clinic with no results...still have dry, watery eyes and $500 less in my account. Yes, I did have 4 plug...3 now because 1 came out within a couple days and my eyes are worse than when I walked in 1 month ago! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. DON'T USE VISION TRENDS!!!! This morning I had a contact lens follow up appointment at Vision Trends on Sawdust. I went last week for my exam, fitting etc and was only given 1 pair of lenses because they required me to come back in 1 week to check their fit and how I am doing with them. I've been wearing contacts for 25 years now but ok I'll play along. Called this morning and they booked me for 10:50am. I arrived at 10:41 because I respect other people's time. I WAITED 1.5 HOURS FOR AN "EXAM" THAT TOOK LESS THAN 4 MINUTES TOTAL TO COMPLETE!! OUTRAGEOUS DISREGARD FOR MY TIME!!! I have waited less for appointments with my OB and kid's pediatrician who are dealing with REAL issues. This place has no idea of the concept of triage. The assistant even had the nerve to act annoyed with my irritation!! I will NEVER go back there. read more

This is the very worst place I have ever visited about any heath/ eye/ issue. The worst service one could ever imagine , from check in ...to people who take the initial eye tests to the jumped up young guy who took my details in the exam room. He was the worst guy you could ever imagine withhix s back turned to me, rude attitude, never looked at me once. This was a disgraceful public relations Visit in every way...
