January 6,2025 I went in this morning with an appointment at 10.am to have my new lenses put in my glasses. I was told it would be 45 minutes since the person that does is not in yet. At 10:30 I went back to the rude girl , Kelly, and asked if guy had showed up . She said yes and went back to her computer. I then asked to find out how much longer. Rude Kelly said 10 more minutes. went to Eyeland today and had a fantastic experience. I had no wait getting in. The whole team was great. The experience didn't feel invasive like it usually does. Dr. B was very knowledgeable and is obviously experienced. He gave me a new kind of contact that is so much better than my current brand. I can see and feel the difference. Checking out was a quick process. They have a lot of contacts there and I was able to buy an entire years worth at a discounted price. I went in on a Saturday to pick out my frames. I was next to be serviced. Once my frames were picked out a lady came around to collect names as people were coming in after me. I sat with my frames waiting to be next. Jill was at her station turned to me and said ok are you ready come on over. This other lady literally bolted over and sat with Jill. Jill said absolutely nothing. I was ignored. I was being very nice. Once Jill finished with the lady I had to ask her about it. Her response was that the lady asked her a question earlier so she took her. First of all I was there first waiting with my frames, second Jill looked directly at me to be next. This was very poor customer service. Jill proceeded to walk around and tell others I was mad because she took someone before. I did reiterate to Jill and others that it was just poor customer service on her part. I received no apology just looks. For someone to be at this job for 8 years this was disheartening. Another customer Mrs. Lebeau just shrugged and said maybe Jill was having a bad day. Nonetheless it was wrong. read more

I originally gave them 5 star's.... but now I would give them 0 star's but in order to write a review you have to give them at least 1 star!! I came in to pick up my glasses and I couldn't see out my bifocals and they wouldn't fix them when I was right there....No they told me to come back another time!!! Ridiculous!!! My first visit at eye land wasn't bad at all. It wasn't until I had called not 1 not 2, but 3 different times to receive a fax of my prescription that they refused to send or cooperate at all over the phone . I was speaking to a women on the phone and her reasoning behind it taking so long was that the doctor needed to sign it in order for her to fax it over. But whenever I had to literally drive down there, her excuse was that it wasn't going through. With that being said, it sounded like she wasn't trying to do her job, and I was very disappointed that I had to physically drive down there for a copy of my prescription. Considering I had a copy emailed to me that was already signed from the week before. I do not appreciate being lied to, and will not longer be doing business with this company. read more

I'll never buy eyeglasses from them ever again. I've purchased 3 times and now having problems for the 2nd time! The first time was also the first time I ever purchased glasses and was told that it takes awhile to get accustomed to them which never happened. I didn't figure it out till it was too late because they were made wrong! This time I ordered 2 pairs and only got 1 for $611. They say I never ordered a 2nd pair which I'm certain we both communicated that back and forth!! They now offered me a refund and I ended up keeping them because of the hassle of reordering elsewhere and having to wait again not able to see well. read more

Went in to see Dr Boeckman and he was amazing. What I wasn't told about was the $90 fee to try on contacts until I checked out. Then after a song and dance from the manager about how they use to have a sign but don't anymore, they should inform their patients....nothing was done. I will not be returning to this location that thinks it's ok to charge me for services that I have agreed to. read more

I like Dr Awalt but I feel as if their equipment is antiquated. I've never gotten glasses with perfect vision. When ordering glasses, the price was pushing $700. I changed lens type and took off protective coating. Lenses so scratched, I had lenses replaced but they refused to add protective coating. Now I have a worthless pair of $600 glasses. read more

Waiting over two weeks for lens to come in then when I called and said they could keep their glasses they miraculously showed up lady told me they still had to be cut and fitted for frames and two minutes later they called my wife saying oh they're done don't think these people know what they're doing read more

I've been here a couple times & was satisfied with the service & doctors. In fact I really liked the doctors till this past week after I made an appointment. I was told that someone would call me & tell me about my insurance benefits. The lady called & told me it would cost me about $200 dollars for an eye exam with my insurance. I asked why I needed insurance? Needless to say , I canceled the appointment & went home to look up my benefits myself. As it turns out the lady was totally wrong with what she told me about my benefits. So I figured if they couldn't get that right I wasn't going allow them to check my eyes. I love this place. The opticians are a class act. They will do whatever it takes to make you happy with your eyewear. The eye doctors are great as well but we all know the opticians get most of the problems and complaints. They handle each and everyone with the best of care. I will never go anywhere else! read more

My mother took a fall and broke her glasses in the process. Once she felt up to the trip, we took the broken glasses to see if they could be fixed. They couldn't but Eyeland gave her a new pair under warranty. I'm sooo thankful. They went above and beyond to help my other. It was fast and efficient. Thank you Eyeland!! read more

Dr. Awalt my doctor and has been for atleast 10 years. I don't go in for my check ups as much as I should and they do send out a letter to remind you but such is life. There is a familiarity to how Dr. Awalt communicates with us as patients that I greatly appreciate. He takes his time, he checks and double checks and he explains as much as he can to all my questions. The staff is wonderful and I'm sure the other eye docs are just as wonderful. Overall, great place to come to have your eye needs taken care of....their quality has been consistent for all these years. But don't take my word for it, try them out...you'll be a regular. read more

Started coming here when we moved to Conroe a few years ago. I love Dr. O'Rear! She is amazing. My daughter had a "freckle" in her eye and when we went to the specialist he was amazed that the Dr. had seen it cause most wouldn't have recognized it during a regular eye exam. I have been going to Eyeland in Conroe for 3 years now. They have always been prompt when getting my contacts order delivered, the staff is organized and friendly, and the doctors do a wonderful job. One day I went in with some eye problems and it turned out to be a serious issue. Everyone involved from Eyeland was supportive and genuinely cared about my situation. I was referred to an excellent specialist. Eyeland took all my calls for questions, recommendations, you name it! My doctor even called to check on me! When was the last time your doctor did that for you? They are a great business run by a great group of people. That's probably why they have been recognized and awarded so much in the past. Dr. O'Rear is amazing! She's super friendly, very professional, and one of the few doctors I've met that doesn't treat you like you don't know what's going on. The staff were also really nice and courteous and very helpful when it came to picking out a new set of glasses! I have 0 complaints about the office and its staff and would recommend them to anyone. Lots of different styles of glasses to choose from! The equipment is kept clean and sanitized before and after use so that's always a plus! Had an awesome appointment today with Bonnie Bloom, an optometrist at Eyeland in Conroe. I have been wearing glasses since I was 14-years-old, and no one has ever spent as much time and effort as she did today making sure I could see perfectly. By the time I left, I could see better than 20/20. She also turned me on to this great concept called monovision, which is one eye focused for distance and the other for near vision. Might not be the fix for everyone, but I haven't had to use my readers since I got home. FANTASTIC! Plus, the rest of the staff was great too. Couldn't recommend Bonnie or Eyeland more highly. read more

This review refers to the optician side of the business as I had my exam elsewhere. I thought I was receiving great customer service the first time I went in there to purchase frames. However, it turns out I was given wrong information about my frames and incorrect information on my insurance availability. Also, Kelly told me last Saturday she would call my insurance to verify availability and call me on Monday. I called back on Wednesday and that call to them was never made. She just regurgitated the same information she gave me on Saturday. read more

I am new to the Conroe area and I was due fir an eye exam. I reserarched the great internet, trying to decide the best doctor for my eyes. I have a torn vitreous layer, so it is important to me to find a doctor for my regular eye exam to do the optomat and truly undetand my situation. I read the credentials for all the eye doctors at Eyeland and I knew I would be happy with any of them. I saw Dr. Bloom and I am over the moon happy with her. She took si much time with making sure I had the right prescription. She fitted me with new contacts, lowered my prescription and I see better than before. She listened to my concerns about the previous contacts that I was in. She put me in a different brand and BINGO, the dry eye went away. Today, I picked up my new lenses for my glasses. Because my insurance would not cover new frames, Eyeland didnt presuure me to get new frames, they just ordered new lenses and cut them and put them in my existing frames. Im so pleased to have found Eyeland. Every single person I worked with was great! read more

made an appt for my 3 month old...waited for over and hour with him then got back there and was told they dont see them that young......after the lady at the front asking me his dob 4 times!! never gonna go here again for noone in my family. then at the end the lady chased me out the door saying i had to pay my copay for the visit....im like what visit!!!!! insane! read more
