Tri-Tip sandwich
Izzy O.

Finally tried this place after contemplating it for so long, went with my partner and we both had the fried artichoke appetizer which was delicious! We both also got the tri-tip sandwich with extra BBQ sauce on the side and it was also delicious! So hearty and well seasoned and the sauce was to die for. Lorie, our server was amazing and very professional, we also met the owner and he was very welcoming and was happy to see some new faces. Did I mention the prices are also very affordable? Can't wait to try other items on the menu! We will definitely be back! This place is a true hidden gem!

The artichoke soup bowl was a scant cup of green water. The steak sandwich was 'deli' slices and tasteless.

My son ordered the Patty Melt with a side of Caesar salad. I ordered the Tuna Melt with a size of onion rings. Both sides were considered upgrades and were an extra cost. My son really liked the Patty Melt. He gave it a 4 out of 5. The sourdough bread is thick, but soft on the inside. The burger patty was juicy, flavorful, and cooked well. He also liked the grilled onions and sauce that was a thousand island type sauce - they all complement the melt very well. He also really enjoyed the Caesar salad. I liked the Tuna Melt. The tuna salad had good flavor and there was a hearty amount of tuna in the sandwich. I was able to change the cheese to Swiss cheese, which gave the sandwich a softer cheese flavor. The bread was also a winner in my book. The onion rings were great. They are fresh made and very crispy - with a side of ranch, it was a very tasty side dish that went so well with my tuna melt. Overall, we had a good experience for lunch. We had very good food. Our waiter Erik was courteous, attentive, and fast. We will definitely be back and will plan to save room for some of those delicious looking pies.

The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, with trendy décor that is very appealing to the eye. When I arrived, it was a little challenging to find the full menu, and I wasn't greeted right away. However, I understand places can get busy, so I didn't let that affect my overall impression too much. I ordered the Panini Caprese sandwich, and my son ordered the Caesar salad wrap. My sandwich didn't look quite as full as the photo, but honestly, the flavor made up for it. It was delicious with great texture, and I loved every bite. I also appreciated that it came with pickled jalapeños on the side, which was a nice extra touch since I love adding those to sandwiches. My son rated his wrap a 3 out of 5. He felt there wasn't much chicken inside, and there also wasn't much Caesar dressing, so it mostly tasted like a wrap with lettuce. It would have been a much better experience if they had included more chicken and Caesar dressing on the side to add more flavor. Overall, I'd definitely come back and try this place again because I really enjoyed my sandwich and the café itself has such a cute, cozy vibe.

It was very busy inside, but since no one was waiting outside, I stepped inside and a server said to take any open table. The food came out within minutes after we ordered. Lots of gluten free options! Note: the gluten free waffle is made on shared waffle cookers. Servers were very attentive and we were finished within 40 minutes of sitting down. The food is simple, fast, diner-style with a big menu: eggs, sausages, bacon, different types of pancakes and waffles, sandwiches, etc. Everything was served hot and the gluten waffle was crispy on the outside. Servers came by and refilled coffee mugs a few times. We came on a Monday (federal holiday) around 10:15 am. As we were leaving around 11:00 am, we saw a few groups waiting outside.

The breakfast club has some pretty good dishes. The Seaside Joe's Scramble I had was very filling and very tasty. I normally don't like scrambled eggs. I find it a waste of eggs. But I don't see how you make a dish like this with all those mushrooms and spinach without scrambled eggs. A sunny side egg or two just wouldn't cut it. At any rate, we had no complaints about the food. I think the letdown was in the service. There were numerous times servers would just skip over the table when the coffee needed refilling, or when the bill was ready to be paid. There even was an instance where they asked if jelly or jam was needed, and just never came back with that until reminded some minutes later. I get restaurants being busy, and that food joint was pretty active. But this was more than two or three cases; it was kind of habitual and points to a distracted or probably understaffed situation, and that's what kind of ruins meals. The atmosphere was good. It was a very cozy diner full of charming decor. The spacing was good, and, while it did get a little loud inside, it didn't reach bar or pub volumes of distraction. It wasn't off-putting being inside. Aside from the underwhelming service I'm sure we were feeling, I'd recommend this place more. The food was kind of good and it certainly was filling. I just can't help it when the gaps in coverage become distracting.
