This space is extra cute, I didn't know it was here. My guy wanted a burger and I looked up a place close. Everything is modern and beautiful the hostess makes you feel at home and the service is superb. Who is the Chef? I want to know cause they are fabulous, I will be eating through this menu

The best spot in Brooklyn for dining with a hell of an experience. Usually host very engaging events that always feel home. Mike, Lems, and Jazz are a great team

I'm not sure what I was expecting out of a lecture entitled "Dark Mysteries of the Universe" but it certainly wasn't an engaging and entertaining lecture by a Columbia professor, a standing-room-only full house of rabid nerds, or a gritty dive-y Brooklyn Bar that serves up specialty cocktails (this night's was The Cosmological Constant) alongside Red Stripe. This particular session included a dumbing-down of the entire history of the universe for the lay person, a recap of scientific observations and discoveries from famed researchers, mind-boggling mathematical formulae for the cognoscenti, and a roundup of the outstanding unanswered questions we have about all creation. Heady topics, for sure. That was all fine, until the question and answer session at the end, where chirality, matter vs. anti-matter, and deep-dives into complex mathematical equations properly blew my mind. It turns out that in addition to such lay people as myself, subject matter experts also enjoy attending these functions. All in all, I had a great time learning about esoteric science topics while sipping on a Brooklyn lager. How often do -you- get to discuss the secret workings of the universe over a beer? Just make sure to arrive WAY early if you want a coveted seat!

Where else can you hear award winning scientists present amazing information (aka "magic"!) while having delicious drinks? Definitely come early if you want a seat (as in show up an hour beforehand) and at least 30 minutes ahead if you want to guarantee entrance. Any later and you risk the room being "sold out" even though the event is free.

Perched…read moreright above the water with postcard-perfect views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, it's easily one of the most beautiful spots in Brooklyn to spend an afternoon or evening. The scene is relaxed but stylish--exactly what you want from a members' club. Staff are warm, attentive, and never make you feel rushed. There's also a no-photographs rule, which I actually appreciate; it keeps the atmosphere calm, present, and blissfully free of people staging selfies every two minutes. The rooftop is the star: comfy seating, great energy, and that epic skyline stretching out in front of you. No matter the season, it feels like you're on vacation without leaving the city. One highlight worth calling out is the Persian-inspired menu they've been offering in partnership with the London-based Persian restaurant Berenjak. It's fantastic--bright flavors, fragrant herbs, and dishes that feel both comforting and elevated. The koobideh kabab (minced lamb shoulder with onions and black pepper) is out of this world. Drinks are well-executed (the gin martinis are consistently excellent), and the rest of the food menu is reliable--fresh, unfussy, and perfect for sharing. Whether you're there for a quiet coffee, a work session, a date, or cocktails with friends, the space adapts to the moment. If you're lucky enough to get a spot by the windows or on the roof, settle in. Dumbo House is one of the few places where the view really does live up to the hype.
