They came out and did a comprehensive inspection of my metal roof. I thought it just needed cleaning but the inspection brought a few other issues that needed to be addressed. The final result was a clean roof and peace of mind that the job was done completely and correctly. they were a hard working crew and the office was easy to communicate with. Much appreciated! read more

A big thank you to the Fly Guys for my new roof. And for the repairs to my board and bat siding. Owner, Austin, chose to behave with honor by acknowledging mistakes made by his previous company. He made good on his offer to make me better than whole. He didn't have to. I think it shows the strength of his character to own and to make an effort to remedy the past mistakes. Before and while work was in process Austin's office staff or support crew worked diligently to keep the project moving as quickly as possible. They smoothed communication issues and kept me updated. Austin's crew lead by Luis replaced the composition shingle roof with a new metal one. They were super-friendly and courteous. I love the new color! The same is true for the new exterior color. My greatest concern with the previous job was with the board and bat siding. Those concerns were justified by water-stains. Austin's crew remedied my concerns by replacing boards and bats. The previous scope of work was limited to two walls. Austin's crew weather-proofed the bats on all four sides of the house. And finally they stained those four sides with a new, more modern color. All of this was done at no financial cost to me. So thank you again to Austin and the Fly Guys. read more

If a meteorite took out our new roof next week, I'd call Fly Guys to replace it again, with no other bids. The team that flies to put roofs on zillionaire waterfront-estate homes treated our Bellingham home with the same level of professionalism and polish. To see a good-sized roof replaced in a single day is jaw-dropping. Better still, everything- was swept up, squared away, and pristine by the time they left. Everything from bid through build was excellent -- businesslike, timely and top-notch. Highly recommended. (After going through the whole process, I've concluded that the 1 negative reviewer here on Yelp is the one who is 'rude and unhinged'. Ignore the troll.) read more

I thought I was going to only need to replace part of the roof on my old house. After the FlyGuys looked at the roof and explained the problems we replaced the entire roof...AND I am glad I did! They were fast, efficient, cleaned up the whole area, no loud music, just good old fashioned hard work that resulted in a great roof in a short time....I have already referred them to another friend and his roof was completed in two days. He also appreciated the great, fast, efficient, job! Ramona at Olga, Orcas ps They specialize in the San Juan Islands read more

Austin and Steve were prompt in coming to our property on SJ Island to provide a roofing bid. Within a few days after bid acceptance they brought a large, skilled crew to tear off and replace with our old 3 tab with nice new 35yr 3 tab. The crew was professional and courteous and the 2100sqft job was done in about 5 hours! They left the job site in clean condition and would use them again and highly recommend Fly Guys for all your roofing needs! Very reliable and easy to work with. read more

Speed was great. Work quality was fine. Price was exorbitant. Over $800 for 45 minutes on the roof.

Having spent more than a year before exhausting all local options for getting my roof replaced on San Juan Island I started looking at Fly Guys from Bellingham. Their projects on the Island were all done very well, customers seemed very satisfied and Ryan, Austin and team took the time required to understand my unique roofing issues and then proposed a very solid plan to get the work done. In spite of the terrible weather, the Fly Guys crew, led by very professional supervisors, worked tirelessly (dawn until dusk and beyond) to get my old roof replaced, all areas discussed were repaired and put back together along with a professional clean up every day. Later the owner called and thanked me for our business! Honestly I don't know where I would be right now had the Fly Guys not bailed me out. I highly recommend these folks for your roofing and related needs even if you are on a remote island!! read more

Fly Guys just finished our roof and I cannot say enough good things. They arrived when they said they would, they charged what they said they would, they cleaned up after themselves and did a fantastic job. Austin and his team were very professional and great communicators. They answered all our questions and checked in with us throughout the job. And, their pricing was very competitive. I am recommending them to everyone and looking for other projects they can do at our house! Thank you so much to the whole Fly Guys team. read more

Fly Guys provided a timely estimate and then was flexible when we discovered a repair would actually be a new roof. They worked with our insurance company and then scheduled a large crew so we could take advantage of the weather window. The crew led by Louie arrived at our home on San Juan Island at 8 a.m., and completed the work a little after 5 p.m. Not only was the work first rate, no corners cut, but they left the landscape and deck even more pristine than before. They even roofed the well house and repaired a tricky down spout. And they were cheerful and accommodating throughou. A big tip of the hat to Austin, Leah and all the folks of this young company. I would do business with Fly Guys any time. read more

We were selling our house in Bellingham and needed a roofing company promptly, Corwin came out and did a walk around, gave me a quote a day later. They scheduled me in the next available weekend. They worked with us on our schedule. When the plug was finally pulled and the weather cleared, they showed up in force and went to work. I am truly grateful for the energy and the quick response to our project.......and they did a great job, cleaned up and there was NO evidence they were there....except for a new roof. I would highly recommend them. read more

I signed a contract for roof replacement in early May 2022. It was understood that the work would begin mid-July, which was fine with me. There was some rain...another delay. But when I was told they had started a huge mall re-roof, it became apparent that I was getting pushed to the end of the line. I had to contact them repeatedly. Each time was told they would find a time soon. I was even given two days notice for a start date, but no one showed up. I was pissed off. I called the office repeatedly, but never an answer. I went to the office to tell them they were fired, was treated with respect by the receptionist and told I would be refunded my $3000 deposit soon. Nothing happened. I called again and was able to speak with the owner. He said I'd get my refund in 1 1/2 weeks. Again...nothing happened. It's now late October and the check was not in the mail. Called again and no one answered the phone. And...IT'S RAINING and MY ROOF IS LEAKING!! Nothing reliable about this company! Don't waste your time! I'm a 74 year old with limited funds who's been treated very poorly. They're rude, disrespectful and unworthy of my business. read more

I bought a house on San Juan Island at the end of Summer 2019 and knew I needed to get the roof replaced. Fly Guys came in with one of the most reasonable quotes and did an absolutely fantastic job. I had them come back in May 2020 to paint the house. The paint job took a little longer than expected and took just over a week, but they showed a great attention to detail and I'm very happy with the results -- the house looks fantastic in the new colors. I will 100% use them again for any future work. read more

I was absolutely amazed that they could complete our roof in three days. They promised they would, and they did finish on time. Wow they did such a great job on replacing the roof of our business at The Donut House. We HIGHLY recommend Fly Guys Construction. Thankful for business like them! read more

Fly Guys Construction came through for us exactly when we needed them. After a winter storm knocked a tree onto our roof, my husband and I approached other local companies to fix it, but were frequently met with silence, empty promises, and absurd rates. We got the run around for six months before we found Fly Guys. We were exasperated when Ryan noticed the damage and proactively approached us about it while in the area on another job. He quickly had a quote together, and the rest has been smooth sailing. The pricing is the most reasonable I've seen, and the crew came out and absolutely knocked it out of the park in matter of hours - It looks INCREDIBLE. I haven't seen this efficiency or quality displayed by many companies and you cannot go wrong by hiring them. Austin and his team were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and we now have plans to have them replace our entire roof in addition to the amazing job they have already done for us. read more

I would highly recommend Fly Guy Construction for your roofing needs. A young man named Ryan was in my neighborhood two days ago and approached me, asking if I needed to have my roof cleaned. At that time, my prior roof cleaner had not shown up as promised, and so I was ready to have it done. Ryan walked around the property and then came back and gave me a reasonable estimate. He and his crew showed up as promised the following day and proceeded to do an excellent job cleaning our moss-covered roof. and gutters. While up there, he also found that there was some tree branch damage and so, with our permission, proceeded to repair the roof. Not only did they do an excellent job, but Ryan took pictures of the process and showed me the before and after photos. This is a young company, but Ryan was very professional and communicated well throughout the process. Again, I would highly recommend Fly Guy Construction for your roofing needs. read more
