The flavor was very bland. The texture of the crust was too doughy. Maybe that's the style? Also got some chicken strips with fries which were good. Admittedly I was not really thrilled when I first heard of this concept of chicken tenders and pizza and thought it was just an expensive Canes-type place. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Fox Concept group come up with a winner and a diverse menu of good and well-executed food! I tried it once by myself this week....and liked it so much, ordered for the whole family again later that same week. The Detroit style pizza is so tasty. The crust has a soft, bread-like texture with a hint of sweetness. It's done in a deep sheet pan so it's a little thicker. We got with pepperoni which was cut a bit thicker than usual....the small discs pool with a little grease which some may not like, but having had Detroit-style before, I thought it was just perfect...the thicker crust holds up to the saltiness of the peperoni! We also wanted to try a traditional style pizza and went with the Copper Hat. Highly recommend too...the peppery arugula and salty prosciutto and sweetness of the dates. Again, salty/sweet. So good! We tried both the tenders and the wings with a variety of sauces: Nashville hot, honey hot and buffalo. None of them were especially hot. Kind of disappointed in Nashville hot and was expecting more kick but still tasty. My only complaints were that they charge for basic sauces like ranch and blue cheese and the overall price point is a bit steep for this type of food. A simple dinner here with a family of 4 for fast-casual fast food will still set you back a bit. I'm excited to try some of their other menu options and appetizers (Brussels and buffalo cauliflower) and will be back. They're a surprise welcomed addition to the Desert Ridge shopping center. read more

A few weeks ago I ordered for delivery. The delivery service door dash was supposed to deliver. After it said they were picking it up door dash canceled my delivery and said to call the store for more information. I called and the person at the restaurant said they had ot ready and it was not cancelled on their end. She said I could pick it up but I just had surgery so I could not. One of the managers delivered my order to me and I did not expect that. The did was very good and the service was amazing. I wish door dash was as helpful. read more

Had a fox gift certificate and a Sunday party for 20 who like pizza so decided to try fly bye- ordered sat night with mgr Quinton who Took my order of six pizzas and3 orders of wings- we pretty much tried their whole menu and everyone raved about the pizzas! The pepperoni always seems to go first and Detroit stylebrooklin was 2nd - my fav was copper hat but black truffle also yummy- The on the phone ordering and my daughter picking up was flawless- they handled everything perfectly! We did order three orders of the wings dry as that is how my husband likes it but I think everyone else would've preferred them in the sauce-they did provide three different sauces in teeny tiny little containers so I'm not sure how I was supposed to serve it but the guests figured it out- incidentally no one did mention the wings lol except for my husband! so maybe next time I would order two of the three orders tossed in the sauces prior to picking them up- it's not inexpensive but it is good quality and great service! read more

I think our actions speak for this new spot in DR. we had been waiting for it to open, and gave it a try on Thursday night. I had pepperoni pizza, my wife enjoyed the Brussels salad with chicken. Simply fantastic on both counts. So, where did 'action' come in? Well, guess who we called for dinner on Friday night? Yep, went right back the next day. Tried it out on there opening day, and boy was it tasty. I've been waiting for them to open up and they beat my expectations. Everything was so fresh and only took about 20-25 minutes. Definitely my new go to spot!! Can't wait to try out the rest of there food. read more

It was my first visit and I had a meatball sandwich. It was really good, and tasted homemade. My other guests enjoyed the chicken wings and we all loved the Detroit style pizza. The food was so good, but what really made my visit special was a visit by Chef Brian. He brought our food to our table, introduced himself and mad me feel at home. I will say first that the service was great. Which is usually the problem these days but the people behind the counter were very helpful and polite. The food, $19 for a 12 inch pizza. I agree with the posts about prices and this is why. The toppings were so minimal, from the nonexistent sauce to the thinnest layer of cheese and the minimal toppings. They don't offer a thin crust which is fine but then have some toppings to go with all the dough. I sometimes will order "light" cheese at pizza places but if I had here I wouldn't have had any cheese. This was lighter than light. My husband had the wings and he said they were super salty. The highlight was the buttermilk ranch. Maybe whoever made the pizza wasn't trained right? Don't think I will risk trying it again though. read more

This place is hard to find within Desert Ridge. The pizza was very greasy, the Caesar salad tasteless, the fried chicken fingers were fair and all the sauces were VERY salty. The only redemption were the crispy Brussel sprouts but I would not go out of my way to get them again. It is a serve-yourself place where they give you a number and bring it to you. You bus your own table. It was $45 for 2 people with the lunch special, one soda, an extra slice of pizza, 3 chicken tenders and a side of crispy sprouts. read more

On the plus side, the staff was great. Friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean...so, 2 stars for those. Unfortunately, this restaurant is a one and done for me. I ordered a regular size pizza (8" ?) 2 topping and a diet coke..and it was over $30! I don't mind paying high prices if the food is good, but the pizza was mediocre at best. Pretty skimpy with toppings for the price. The dough was pale and doughy with no flavor. The sauce was bland and flavorless. In general, very forgettable except for the price. There are too many pizza places that are way cheaper and way better in the valley and even in the same marketplace. I won't be back. read more

I took the entire family and relatives visiting from out of the country to Fly Bye last week and the consensus was that food was very disappointing and the value proposition very poor. We placed an online order 4 hours before pickup and still waited 55 mins in the store for an undercooked pizza. Their chicken tenders were tiny and their crinkle fries were not crispy or flavorful. Unfortunately, it's total chaos in there and they didn't offer a discount or complimentary soda or dessert...nothing to make up for the almost 1 hour wait. We tried fly bye last night and had to give an honest review. Solid 3/5 - we tried a few different things to really feel it out and we love fox restaurants! This one is similar to their concept dough bird- pizza and chicken. We got 2 Detroit pizzas the pepperoni and a create your own cream sauce,prosciutto, truffle mushroom. And the 5 pieces chicken meal with fries and copy cake sauce. The pepperoni had dollops of sauce and the sauce flavor was veryyy store bought but it wasn't bad. The truffle one was very good and I would order that again! The chicken and fries were as if canes became more restaurant style cooked- they were really good! Nothing was great but being close to our house it's convenient. The reason we won't go back is because of the price, it was $62 for our meal. We got the smaller size pizza for both and they are basically personal size at $18 & $24 that's pricey. The chicken meal was $16 so again pricey. For something that is just walk up and order and go we can go sit down somewhere else for that. All in all it didn't blow us away everything was fine but the prices are just way too high for what it is read more

I wanted to like this place. Really. My wife and I love pizza and wings. The wings were dried out and sauce salty. The pizza had no flavor except for the salty pepperoni. The sauce was almost not present. And the cheese was bland. My wife said she no longer feels hungry is the best thing she can say about it. The price is 47 dollars for one 16" pizza and 12 wings. Carry out. My tongue is still tingling from the salt. I had really hoped to have a great pizza place at Desert ridge. We won't be returning to this place. Best Detroit style pizza I've had in Phoenix. Also the best chicken strips I've had in Phoenix. Their fries are incredible too! I think the bad reviews are mostly because IPhone navigation messes up and takes you to the wrong spot. This place is located northwest on the other side of the mall next to Albertsons. First went to Fly Bye 6 months ago and it was fine but had no reason too continue Recently I returned and soon realized that they were a cut above from food taste to service. Maybe not the cheapest it definitely worth a few $ more Then I discovered the Monday and Tuesday on line order specials and yes they do offer deep discounts on those days. Each visit we have expanded from what we normally order and are never disappointed. OK maybe one small error on one order but nothing horrible. Writing now because WE ERRED on our order entry, we meant to order crispy Brussel sprouts, if you never tried it's a must, but instead ordered the brussel sprout SALAD, our error. When I picked up our order and realized I had the wrong item but then realized it was our error the restaurant people were so polite and said keep the salad and we will make what you want give us a few minutes. I tried to politely refuse the extra serving but was told they make everything as it's ordered and not to worry. Employee was so quick to respond and satisfy me I felt I had to post something. Absolutely delicious!!! There should be absolutely no reason whatsoever why this restaurant has 3 stars. 5 stars all the way. The pizza is some of the best I've had as well as the chicken, just spectacular! The only thing I can think of as to why they have 3 stars is maybe because the navigation doesn't lead directly to the location (which is right next to Albertsons), it takes you to the mall entrance. I think people are letting their emotions get to them when that happens and just takes it out on the restaurant. We had it for the first time yesterday and it was so good that we had to go back for more today. And we don't exactly live the closest to this area, that says something. read more
