CARDS. You know, the things you buy when you care about people? The irony was lost on whoever was behind the counter. No "thank you." No smile. Just a full serving of stanky attitude with a side of complete indifference -- and I didn't even order that. They've got 444 on the door. Angel numbers. Protection energy. Good vibes literally bolted to the building. And somehow none of it made it past the front entrance. I've given this place multiple chances because I believe in supporting local businesses. This is me believing in something for the last time. To the owner: I genuinely hope you're not the person I keep encountering behind the register. If you are -- bless your heart. If you're not -- you may want to pop in unannounced one day. Bring a secret shopper. Bring a therapist. Bring snacks. Whatever it takes. The latte was fine. The cards were cute. The experience? But mostly: This is a bookstore, not so much a coffee shop or place to lounge. So I wouldn't visit with the intention of posting up and working for a few hours. This time we were able to purchase the same coffee from Fluid's small but quaint store located inside the visitor's center gift shop. Loved the fact that with the purchase of a bag of coffee they give you a complementary cup of drip coffee. They have a very limited menu at this location which was fine with me. This location is a great introduction to the brand. The barista was very friendly and was informative. We had a great "coffee talk". They had several other bagged coffee but, I stuck with what I knew. Love the Fluid vibe and I definitely will continue to frequent this brand.

You can find fresh produce here -- I saw sweet potatoes, broccoli, zucchini, ginger root, bananas, pineapple, berries and other things. The coffee is very affordable ($3.50 for a 16oz cappuccino) and great quality, and they have tons of different flavorings for specialty drinks as well! The barista was kind and welcoming and there were three tables for patrons to sit down and enjoy their drinks and snacks. Additionally, they have free WiFi which proved strong and reliable for working purposes the two hours I was there! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this shop and will be back!
