I've been to Flowing Tide the past 3 weekends for lunch. Twice with my husband and once with a friend. I've tried something new on each visit and everything has been delicious. Each time we've sat at the bar so we can enjoy the slots while we eat. For every $100 you put in the machine, one food item will be comped and for every $20 you will get a free drink. Just be sure you are winning so you are not paying extra for that lunch! Luckily, I made out quite nicely on each of my visits - scored free lunch and won $!! The restaurant is always full of people. I had a craving for clam chowder. Being that it's Friday I hoped FTP would be serving chowder. The place did not disappoint!! I got a lovely bowl of clam chowder that was absolutely delicious!! It came with a couple of packets of crackers tho you can order garlic bread as a side for $1.99. The only thing I didn't like was that I had 2 bay leaves in my bowl of soup. I understand why they are in there. But as a restaurant person I would not leave them in the served soup. Some people especially kids might not know they aren't edible. I love this new location. My husband and I have been a few times when we make a stop being grocery shopping. Everyone is really nice, and we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to an all day happy hour for football today. The upside: Great service, kind and attentive staff, $8 wings with fries Downside: They had a loaded potato soup as the special. I wish I liked it. First time visiting the new Flowing Tide in Spanish Springs and it's just as good as their other locations. I ordered a regular burger and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. My friend got the fish and chips, and they were beautiful and just as tasty. The interior is beautifully done, clean, and comfortable, with a great atmosphere for lunch. This location didn't smell at all like smoke. The only downside was the service, which was pretty slow. We were there for about an hour and a half on a Monday afternoon, which felt long for a casual lunch. Still, the food and setting made it worth it, and I'll definitely come back to see if the service smooths out as they settle in. read more

My first time at the Flowing Tide Pub 10. The remodeling to go from restaurant to sports bar left me stunned. What a difference - the transformation is phenomenal. This Flowing Tide Pub has it together. I ordered the fish and chips lunch special that was also served with a side of Cole slaw. The fish is battered and fried on the premises. So my fish and fries were out of the fryer, plated and piping hot when my order arrived at the table. It was the right choice. I was concerned I would be served a smelly fish - not so. Enough fish for 2 persons, the French fries and the slaw are always good side dishes for fried fish. Maria had a tuna melt and commented it is the best one she has had in this area. A variety of tap and bottled beers. We found out they also serve breakfast. We will definitely be back soon for breakfast. We came here on a Thursday afternoon and during their opening week. We were met by a host and were seated in a timely manner. Our server Sam was very nice and gave us wonderful service, even though I looked like a hobo. The whole bar received an overhaul which is really nice to see! This bar took over the spot that was formerly The Lakeside Bar and Grill. The whole bar has gaming, so I may try their video games the next time. Even the high top table seats are comfortable and are even. I hate when the table or chairs rock from being old. I ordered a Blue Moon draft and a half order of chicken nachos. My husband had a 7-up and the Bourbon burger. We were both surprised with the size of our orders and they were both really tasty. This new restaurant was pretty busy, but gave great customer service! One of our worst experiences ever. Called in an order because no one else was open on Christmas Eve. I ordered a burger, wife ordered cheese steak. Burger was dry, dry,dry. The cheese steak should have been called a cheese veggie... not much steak. It was soggy and we got there when they told us it would be ready. Young lady who greeted us and got our food for us needs to go to hospitality classes. She was not a very nice person. We will never be back. The Lake wasn't great but was so much better than Flowing Tides. Bully's is too close for them to be so rude and the food so bad. read more

Locals loved "The Lake Bar and Grill" and we all know that change is hard. However, sometimes change is necessary and this is probably one of the best changes they could have made. Spanish Springs' dining options have been limited for as long as I can remember which, as a lifetime local, is a pretty long time. It's a small community out here and there was a lot of attachment to the previous establishment. I went in tonight with an open mind and a palate for previous visits to Flowing Tide Pubs across Reno and Sparks. First off, Sheri is the GM and fielded my calls with questions, beautifully. She's also just as nice in person. I went inside to get our food to go, through our server Tino who was with me from beginning to end. Great service, considering I was messing with the dine in flow. There was a wait to be seated for those wanting a table but it didn't seem unreasonable. There are surprisingly quite a few tables, 18 to be exact, on the pub and grill side with 20 bar seats. The lounge/smoking side has a long bar and four tables too. They really opened the place up!! While I waited for our to go, I got a lot of nice photos of the food. Everyone was great about me taking pictures too! So if you're missing The Lake, don't worry, you'll be okay. Portions appear to be more than generous across the board and prices are great for the amount of food you get. One lady's half order of nachos, (already half consumed) was still huge! A regular cheeseburger was quite large (and had me wanting one!). Everyone I spoke to loved what they were eating. Now on to what we actually ordered...I got the pot roast which was so tasty. It has a rich, brown, mushroom gravy and the meat was exceptionally tender. Their signature dish is the fish and chips which my mom and husband both had and loved - crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, cooked to perfection. My little cousin had the quesadilla and she said it was good and one of my grands got the garlic parmesan wings to which she said "my mom needs to step up her garlic game". Happy this is in our neck of the woods. Our server was pleasant although the food a little slow to come out. The new FTP-10 looks & feels more like a regular restaurant than a pub. This was the 1st FTP we've had to sign in & wait to be seated where they want you to sit. The food was fairly priced. It's bar food, so I wasn't expecting something amazing! Unfortunately, the first servers to help were kind of distracted by what seemed friends. Luckily Anaka came by and saved us. She took over our table and really kept us happy with her attention to our needs. The bar seemed a little too big for the amount of staff attending those sitting there. I did like the set up. There were plenty of tvs to watch all the different sports going on! The restaurant has been open now for a couple months, we wanted to wait to allow things to settle before going. It is located in the parking lot of Save-Mart at Pyramid and La Posada, there is ample parking. Upon arrival, we were met by the hostess and provided a table just inside the door, honestly not the best location. They have completely redesigned the restaurant which now has a sailer theme and a large picture on the north wall. The bar is long and much closer to the kitchen, allowing for more room for tables and there are several options available for small to large parties. It unfortunately took quite some time for a server to come by, we were actually considering leaving when finally somebody asked if we had been served. Upon explaining no, we were told there was confusion on what server had our table.. We did place our drink order and food order at that time. I am hopeful that service is better but on this night at best it gets a one, we didn't see our server again, the food was brought out by somebody else and a manager gave us our check. The food was good, I had the fish and the sticks, which were properly prepared and thankfully not greasy, they were good. The coleslaw was the best thing of the evening. It was really good She had the special which was a Hawaiian burger, it was also good. We got here for happy hour. Jillian was our server and was very friendly and attentive. She told us about happy hour specials as well as the special of the day which just happened to be Taco Tuesday so two street tacos with your meat of choice for $4. We ordered that as well as the happy hour special of 6 wings and fries for $7. Next time we'll try the nachos which looked really good and plentiful for $7! The fries are above average, the onion rings are very good and the sweet potato fries were also the best I've had. My friend had the Ruben sandwich and said it was very good. For a new establishment, they were dialed in this morning. 4 of us came in for breakfast. The drinks, water and coffee were never allowed to be even half empty, and our waitress was quick, thorough and fun to talk to. Every one of the staff we interacted with was happy and helpful. There were 4 different plates of food ordered and each one was delivered hot and fresh! Lots of TV's for sports watching, comfortable booths that are spacious and laid out well. It was nearly full with patrons, but you didn't have to talk loud to have a conversation. Spacious bar with great viewing potential. read more

We ate at The new Sparks, Nevada Flowing Tide yesterday. It was fabulous. Yes a little bit of congestion because it's so busy. Everyone wants to try it and have been waiting for it. I'm not sure if they have enough staff however they definitely could use a hostess to help coordinate. Food was absolutely delicious. We ended up sitting at the bar which was fine. The bartender was super sweet and attentive. We had a good time with everyone else at the bar - friendly place with super friendly staff. Reminded me of Culver's in Wisconsin however with a bar. This Is NOT typical bar food! So much more and something for everyone! Looking forward to trying the breakfast and will have many more dinners there since it's so close to our house. We really enjoyed the food and the environment. It's a beautiful place. You won't be sorry! One of the owners came over and talked to us, as well as everybody else there an he asked how everything was and what they can improve upon. They are opening more restaurants in Nevada.
