We typically settle on picking a few colors and a price point and letting the staff work their magic. Staff members have involved me and/or my partner in the picking of flowers and the look of the arrangement as the grab different flowers. After the arrangement has been picked, the staff always make sure to double-check that we are okay with the price point if it is more than expected. For someone who loves flowers but can be stressed or disappointed when left to my own devices, Field & Florist is perfect for making me feel involved and active in the process while working with a pro!

She motioned another worker to help us out. This other worker was actually really nice and had a normal human interaction with us, congratulating us and asking what we were looking for. The moment we mentioned the word "wedding" the manager's head popped up as if we were in a Key and Peele skit and she said "OH, I didn't know that's what we're doing here." She immediately got up from her laptop and told us it's $100 minimum for a wedding bouquet. For some reason she said we needed to email her, even though we were talking to her in the store. Since it was a city hall wedding we just wanted a small bouquet to hold but she was insisting it needed some type of pearl pin and a vase that's included in the cost. Even if we removed the vase she couldn't reduce the price. We pulled up some inspiration photos on etsy to show what we were looking for. The manager starts listing the full scientific names of flowers which confused us. It would have been nice to look and pick out the flowers based on what we saw in the store rather than her just listing genus and species of various flowers. We ended up placing an $86 order for a boutonnierre and bouquet of 5 tulips with greenery with no idea how big it would be or what it would actually look like. Me and my (now wife) spent an hour after debriefing how terrible of an experience that was. My wife pulled up a photo to show me how sad 5 tulips would look. Also that's a really expensive price for just 5 tulips. Ultimately we called the next day to cancel our order, which she did no problem. For that I'll bump it up to 1.5 stars. We ended up making our own bouquet from the selection at Jewel and it turned out just fine. Our bouquet did not wilt all day, as the manager insisted any bouquet would without a vase. We really were disappointed with this experience since we saw all the great reviews on Yelp and Google.

No response to my 2 internal request for a quote, I have to email you. Then your own deadline isn't met." Then Nicole asked me question some that I already answered in my initial requests. Clearly, no attentiveness or attention to detail. Sent me their basic cookie cutter event stuff. I didn't want their cookie cutter display stuff from their website. I wanted a quote for something unique. I answered her email questions then an Ali responses saying "Nicole is out of the office until Monday." She went on to tell me "12 days is enough for us to accommodate your requests." I don't think they could handle my request. As Nicole previously stated, "I sincerely apologize for the delay and completely understand your frustration. You're right that I had given you a timeline, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to meet it or communicate the delay with you sooner. We are currently in the height of our busiest season, and our response and proposal lead times have unfortunately been longer than usual. That being said, I should have kept you updated rather than leaving you waiting. I am working on your decks and will have it over to you today. I really appreciate your patience and apologize again for the frustrating experience." I asked for the CEO, or person in charge of the business, and I was ignored. Again, why would I use this company? Why would you?

Most people may say flowers are overrated, but nahh I disagree wholeheartedly, its the thought that counts. Providing these is just one part. How you proceed in delivering it is what matters! The delivery driver left the flowers in the apartment lobby without the gift note. My brother even texted back asking if the driver could leave them in the mail room since their building doesn't have a front desk, but instead they were left unattended in the lobby. Because there was no note identifying who they were for, someone ended up taking them. This completely defeated the purpose of sending a birthday gift. We met with 4 different decor companies for my son's recent bar mitzvah and opted to go with Kehoe because we absolutely loved Mal- her energy, her warmth and (most of all) her fresh ideas. She was lovely and easy to work with throughout the entire process so I was bummed to learn a month before our big event that she she had moved companies. However, my planner assured me that we were in very good hands because Tom Kehoe was taking over our event and that most of our event was already in production. I guess this is the benefit of going with a large company like Kehoe. I do think things were a little more chaotic in the few weeks leading up to the bar mitzvah as Tom and his team (we mostly worked with Sydney) got up to speed. We had to redirect with some proofs at the last minute, but the finished product was more amazing than I even expected. The tennis decor they designed was youthful, classy and absolutely breathtaking. Even big sister (my 15 year old daughter) who is tough to impress walked in and said "WOW- this is actually really cool." And while there were many amazing wow moments from the night the #1 comment I received over and over and over again was that decor was unbelievable. It was definitely pricey and tough to swallow spending what we spent on what's essentially a 13 year olds birthday party, but I gave the same budget to 3 other well known decor companies and the budget went further with Kehoe than any of the others. And I thought their ideas were also more innovative and appropriate for a 13 year old boy. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased. I'm bummed that Mal herself moved on, but would definitely consider using Kehoe again providing there is another designer who is a creative and fun to work with.

Spotted this new plant shop in the neighborhood and just had to stop in!…read more Lynn, the owner, kindly took the time to walk me through her selection and guide me to the right decision for a low-light plant for my bedroom. The selection is stellar and I think they have something for everyone! Plus, their pretty pottery, books, and other accessories mean you can walk out with a cute plant AND a cute home for it. They're closed Sunday-Tuesday, so just make sure to check the hours before dropping by. They also seem to have a robust website & post new plants there, so that's another option if you're not comfortable with in-person shopping. As for covid, only 3 shoppers are allowed in at any time, masks must be worn at all times, hand sanitizer is provided at the door, and you can only touch what you intend to purchase. I had a very specific vision in terms of colors and theme, but I left flower selection, shape, etc. all completely up to Jori and she designed and executed it all flawlessly. My husband just kept repeating how incredible the flowers looked as if he was in shock, but after interviewing over 15 other florists before choosing Jori, I was not one bit surprised at how perfect the florals were. Our venue is a lot of dark gray and glass, and can feel a little corporate and cold if the design doesn't intentionally warm it up. I had asked for monochrome blush-mauve-berry, but the actual shades Jori chose made the room feel bright and welcoming and cozy all at the same time. Everything Jori planned worked for both our ceremony during daylight and during the reception when it got dark, which I didn't realize would be so important when I was thinking about wedding planning. We also asked for a hanging installation that I imagine was difficult to create, and it was the perfect scale and design for the space. I can't end my review without also noting how lovely Jori was to work with. She was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process and is just an absolute joy and treasure of a person. There was no better choice of florist for our wedding and I promise that if you go with Romee Willow, you will be in good hands.
