David created the most breathtaking floral arrangements for my wife's 50th birthday celebration. They were truly the centerpiece of the entire event and brought everything together perfectly. My wife was absolutely thrilled, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the flowers were. The elegance, creativity, and attention to detail were outstanding. The owner & designer was very receptive to an ideaI had to create a living & substantial design for a grand opening of a friend's massage and skin care boutique in Chicago. I live in California and the distance was a factor, but David assured me he would come up with an original and a very Zen like arrangement and deliver to her. He designed an amazing arrangement with orchids & succulents, and he even created a 2nd arrangement, which was equally gorgeous. Even though I was in California, David and Mudd Fleur knocked it out if the park! My friend absolutely loved the arrangement! Thank you for creating such a beautiful arrangement and handling the delivery and my nerves with personal attention and care! I hope if your in Chicago you'll use Mudd Fluer Florist. I'm always happy to support a local small business, even from across the miles. Tip: Mudd Fleur takes personal care with every order & can get very busy. David suggested, if possible, get your order in early! Thank you David! read more

It's official!!! Mudd Fleur has become my all-time favorite florist! On Thursday, I called head designer David Gould and asked him to help me find the right arrangement for my friend's 40th birthday. Not only did he text me pics of vases to choose from and walk me through flower choices and options, but he created an original design just for the occasion. The photo says it all- Simply STUNNING! My friend was amazed not only by the beauty of the flowers, but with the care in which they were wrapped and delivered. I can't say enough about David. As a first time customer, he hit this out of the park. I'll definitely be coming back. Great job!!! read more

Today was my daughter's birthday. She was depressed because her boyfriend was sick and she was alone. I called Mudd Fleur this morning and was able to get a custom designed arrangement using her favorite colors and long lasting flowers, hand delivered by the florist himself. I really appreciate the service and care they took to create this arrangement. I always try to avoid the internet arrangements because I feel I get a better product when I call a local florist, and Mudd Fleur did not disappoint! He even sent me pictures of the arrangement before it was delivered. Highly recommended! read more

David is a genius. His work is impeccable. The attention and love he pours into the arrangements he creates is evident. And the art that results from his work with superior flowers is worth every penny. Seriously. If you don't buy your flowers from Mudd Fleur, then you should give up on life and throw some grass clippings in a vase. read more

Firstly I'd like to say that I highly recommend Mudd Fleur. It's important to support small business, florists included, and MF does a great job. The process was fairly simple and the end result was beautiful. The flowers were great! The owner was also extremely flexible in ensuring that I got the best product available. The delivery process needs a little hashing out. It seems there's no clear line of communication during the delivery process...be proactive in reaching out. My order was also delivered at 3:30 PM so consider this when ordering. But don't let this deter you! MF is great. read more

2023 update: 6 top doctors across 3 states so far, countless treatments/meds, I'm down to pain management to live with this life long condition caused by this business. I'm running out of options and utterly depressed with this permanent injury. To be clear: unlike what the owner responded publicly, this was NEVER about money. If money can reverse my damage, I'd be much better by now as the medical expenses related to this injury is the most I had in life and it's still going. I'm comfortably retired and just wanted to enjoy my life. Never in a millions years had I known, worst decision was to give him the business opportunity...I TRULY TRULY just want to feel better both physically and emotional...I still wish this business well as it's hard to be a small biz owner in today's macroeconomic environment, but the daily struggle that I try to make peace with my condition is beyond words can describe, may this be a lesson for everyone. read more

This is by far the most amazing personalized hands-on florist in the city of Chicago. I live here and in Palm Beach and I would give anything to have this type of creativity and customer service in my Florida home area. Whether You are throwing a grand affair an intimate dinner party or just sending an arrangement to a loved one or thank you David and his staff go above and beyond. We use him for corporate and personal and am never ever disappointed. read more

I am from the west coast and had to order a very special arrangement at the last minute, I called a couple of flower shops but no one understand my vision or how exotic one of a kind piece I was in the market for, after talking to David the owner of Mudd Fleur and explaining to him what I wanted he knew exactly what my vision was and went way and above to bring it together! Not only did he perfected it but it was extraordinary!!! I definitely recommend him and his amazing talent! My only regret is that he doesn't deliver to the west coast. read more

My daughter wanted something different for her homecoming boutonnière/corsage. So of course I went to Yelp to find a florist who didn't just use roses and baby's breath! Aside from the wrong address listed, I was so amazed and loved the flowers. My daughter loved the on trend style corsage. Mudd Fleur scaled the flowers to my daughter's stature (would not have thought of that). The customer service was amazing. What a fun experience working with Mudd Fleur! Would recommend 10/10! read more

Not enough stars in the sky!! FRESHEST OF FRESH! Most creative! Most artistic! Most responsive! David is the designer of the century. I told him the colors, the mood, the occasion, and then, he indulged me for a few minutes while I told him about my beloved friend, the recipient. He listened to how I feel about my old friend, about her life, some heartaches and triumphs! Those couple of minutes talking made me so confident that he understood my important flower mission! Did he EVER!! Oh my gosh, EXQUISITE. Great communication, documentation, billing process and promptly delivered, too. Mudd Fleur is THE SHOP! read more

This place is the best! Beautiful bouquets and the fastest service every time!!! I recommend this place to everyone

I was searching from out of state for a local Chicago florist to send a housewarming gift to a loved one. I am so glad I found this gem!! David was great to work with. Helpful, kind with a good sense of humor, and most importantly a great designer. He listened to what I had in mind and wanted to spend, and offered ideas and suggestions. The finished product exceeded my expectations---really beautiful! In addition, he texted me pictures of the finished product as well as handwriting an admittedly lengthy personal message on the card. All in all I felt like he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this small business! read more

Best arrangements thank you so much and the service is the bonus. Ask and you shall receive.

I have received 2 gorgeous arrangements from Mudd, both from CS Magazine/ CS Brides as a thank you for helping them out with events. Both were unique, modern, and absolutely beautiful. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because I have no idea what the pricing is like, and I'd hate to have to go back on my word if I found out that they were $300 for a small arrangement or something. Based on their client list (Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Harpo Studios to name a few) I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. But they sure were purty! read more

I purchased flowers to be delivered same day. Liked that this place had a wide range of prices and flower styles to choose from, also really liked that it was a local company instead of FTD or 1800 Flowers. They finished the design within a couple of hours and then even sent me a picture of what the bouquet looked like before it went out for delivery, something I've never gotten before and was much appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to use these guys in the future or recommend them to friends/family looking for a local florist. read more

I order a ton of flowers for VIPs at work, and have been using mudd fleur all season, ever since my boss received a beautiful arrangement and suggested them. After a particularly busy month of birthdays, anniversaries, etc, I received a surprise delivery from mudd - a GORGEOUS little pink and white arrangement from the team thanking me for my business. Not only do they produce creative and fresh arrangements, they have outstanding customer service. I highly recommend mudd!! read more
