With delivery, tip, same day fee, a medium arrangement (which actually was very large), and a box of chocolate added on, it was about $200, but there were much less expensive options on the site as well. I ordered the Kale With Wildflowers in a small and was pretty disappointed by the photo sent from the recipient (considering I paid over $100). There was no kale, no grass, no berries, as mentioned in the description, and only 2 purple roses, some tiny chamomile-looking flowers, and mostly leaves. UPDATE: After leaving this review, Geneva bombarded me with texts and phone calls and a voicemails during business hours. I couldn't answer or respond right away because I was at work, so she immediately called my elderly grandmother and involved her in MY dispute. While she did offer to send more flowers, she later retracted that offer and contradicted her earlier statement (copied from our text message: "I agree with you because when I saw the front of the arrangement it just didn't look as special as I would've liked and had I been here I would've made adjustments") by saying, "Everything was in the arrangement that was supposed to be in the arrangement and then some. We're not sure making another arrangement would solve this." I told her I never received a call or voicemail regarding the kale being out of season and she said she believed me, then later updated her response to my review claiming they did call me/leave a voicemail, even though she was out of town when the order was made and delivered. I did receive a partial refund and thought that would be the end of it, but in the 2 weeks since I left this review, I have received about a dozen emails from Yelp saying she has been constantly updating her response to my review. This is the owner of the flower shop. She can't handle one negative review and is tirelessly obsessing over it, making my experience even worse. Shop there at your own risk. read more

Happiest accidental find! I parked in front to go have coffee across the street and down a bit. But this place was calling me. I'm so glad we decided to stop in. The shop is absolutely packed with plants and flowers. Honestly I could have gone home with a lot more if my budget allowed this week. The staff was so incredibly friendly and attentive. When I made my purchase they made sure to give me directions kn the care of the particular items I bought. They wrapped them neatly and paid attention that they wouldn't leak on my car. The cut flowers lasted about a week and a half. The plant is thriving. Everything was so healthy and well care for. I will make a trip into the city again just for this spot. My husband has been a patron of this flower shop now for the last three years. He has had flowers delivered to me at my place of employment, always supervising me. And as his wife of many years now, I know the flower shop has always made excellent choices for him as to which is the occasion and what arrangment they suggest. And they nevered failed. And for the past two years they have suggested beautiful exquisite flower bouquets either for my birthday or wedding anniversary. This year my husband ordered and has delivered to my place of employment, 12 long stem roses with Nandina greenary, and as I walked up to received the boutique from a far it was stunning as it was dropped off for me in the front desk by the delivery person. As, I got closer I happen to notice the greenary was very dry, and others where spotting in brown or black spots, and yellow/brown and the roses where falling apart. I called the flower shop to express my concern and let them know that I did not received a fresh boutique of flowers and greenary and requested to speak with a manger. The lady that answer the phone, went on to ask me for which order, I went and explained that the order was place by my husband and provider her with his information. She then went on to say that she made this order for me and ask me what was wrong. I asked if she is the manger and she went on to say no, but I am the owner. I explained to her that what I received was not fresh, and explained that greenary was very dry others where spotting in brown or black spots, and yellow/brown and the roses where falling apart. She stated to me that the greeynary was Nandina Greenary and that it has a reddish/pinkish color to it and that was not old and that the roses where fresh. And to look up Nandina Greenary on google. I informed her that what she sent was not reddish/pinkish in color and the roses where falling apart. I was surprise to hear her respond, she stated to me if I am not happy with it I will have my driver pick it back up and sell it to another customer and refund my husband. I really thought she would address my concern and try to keep my husband as customer. I looked up Nandina greenary attached an image to this post along with images of what I recieved from her at Halsted Flower shop. Nandina greenary is a beutiwful fall folliage greenary, but that is not what I recieved. I recieved again, very dry others where spotting in brown or black spots, and yellow/brown and the roses where falling apart. She completely disregarded my complaint, and again did not try to remedy the situation, which is what I thought would happen. I may no be in expert in flowers or greenary. What I can say is as long as I been recieving and seeing beautiful flowers and greenary from around the world amonst my travels. I love fragrance lilies for the home, and usually have them scattered throughout various main rooms, because of the linalool compound they emit... emitted particularly in the evenings. They have aromatherapeutic benefits, and they create a relaxed, dreamy vibe throughout the home. I look forward to visiting this shop - myself - in the near future. The designer required a lot of back and Forth emails for us to pick sizes, arrangements, ribbon colors, etc but we didn't mind because we were part of the creative process. Unlike other florists who has really high minimum orders, Halsted was very flexible with our reasonable budget. A friend was having a small court ceremony and I wanted to pick up a bouquet as a surprise. I looked through reviews for a flower shop close by found Halsted Flowers with their perfect 5 star rating and gorgeous bouquet photos so I called an hour ahead and they told me that I could come in and pick out an arrangement and that they would put it all together for me. Unfortunately, the pickings were slim. The main flowers were wilting and browning on the edges, the only redeeming quality of the bouquet was that is was wrapped beautifully with pink silk ribbon and beaded pins. For $60, I expected better quality. Overall, the service was great and the staff is friendly. Perhaps if you custom order your bouquet ahead of time you'll end up with fresh flowers, but I would not recommend just stopping in to purchase a flower arrangement. read more
