Schultz. And that's why I'm careful when I order flowers, trying to know and understand who has the creative touch to create magnificent. It was knowing that I know nothing that led me to work to understand who does flowers best in Chi Town, and one of the very best is Jolie Fleur. Their flowers are magnifique! How's that for a transition from philosophy to flowers - with a dash of pop culture?

    I went to the website and selected an arrangement (see lush bouquet) and this is what I received even though I was told they had the flowers to make that arrangement. And I paid for the premium arrangement. Pictures say everything.

    Simply the best! This afternoon I had the pleasure of receiving a floral arrangement from Jolie Fleur for my birthday-eve (yes, that is a thing). The presentation is impeccable and I know from my past experiences with arrangements from Jolie Fluer that these blooms will last. Perhaps one of the best parts is being able to make smaller bouquets from the one large arrangement in the days following the event (a mini flower-hack to make my home look 100 times nicer). Moreover, every delivery person that I have encountered has been unfailingly polite and courteous. It is evident that a high level of customization goes into each order. The fact that the service is there to back it up speaks volumes about the quality and professionalism of this business. I hope that Jolie Fleur remains a thriving business for many years to come.

    My boyfriend wanted me to pick out some flowers for my birthday and brought me to Jolie Fleur so that I could have some input on the arrangement, bouquet or type of flowers I'd like. Initially, we were expecting a storefront but realised later that they have recently moved to a studio to specialise in customised orders. The studio by North Wabash was one of those creative spaces with plenty of sunlight peering in and it seemed like a great place for a true artist to practise / refine her craft. When we first met Maria, we could immediately tell she was someone that cared deeply about her customers. She had her hands full from carrying a potted plant and fresh white orchids, mentioning that she was helping a long-time customer replace the flowers on the plant. She apologised profusely for the wait as she looked for a parking space and tried to transport these (which we of course didn't mind!). Once in her studio, we told her that we had a look at the website and narrowed it down to a few floral arrangements (though at that point in time we didn't really have anything specific in mind and was looking to her for suggestions). Maria, in full swing, completely understood our preferences and began putting together ideas and the type of flowers that she would use to create the beautiful arrangement we envisioned. She was also kind enough to offer free delivery because of the wait, so that I didn't have to go all the way down to collect and carry the plant home on my own. Given that we were so last-minute on our order, we did not expect to receive the flowers until the next day. To our surprise, we received the flowers later the same afternoon. We were already in complete awe when we saw how exquisite the flowers were, but to add to that, Maria was so sweet that she even included a complimentary cute little pot of pink roses with a heartfelt card sending her birthday wishes! It was an absolutely wonderful service. We will definitely be using her again and recommending her to others.

    I asked for soft pastels with roses, lilies and orchids.  Nothing big, something I could put on a bedside table.

    As usual Jolie Fleur never disappoints. I asked for flowers to be delivered to my office for a trip to meet my boyfriend's mother. And what I received was nothing short of extraordinary. Delivered at the office, in time for my flight, gently wrapped and ready for flight. It was a long flight but when I took them out, the flowers were as radiant as the moment they were delivered. Thanks Maria for continuing to provide excellent service and breathtaking arrangements. I was the envy of all the ladies as I carried them off the plane.

We stopped in Thursday before Mother's Day on a large last minute decoration request for our job. It was my first time there and I've never bought flowers in bulk so it took us some time asking questions and running numbers. The first interaction that left a bad taste in my mouth was a worker barking at me to stay away from the carnation buckets that another worker had said I could choose from. "There's nothing back there for little girls" was his way of telling me, a 33 yr old WOMAN, not to pick from the carnations. I wanted to immediately leave, but knew we needed these flowers and this may be the only place we can find a large amount last minute. Then, when we finally were ready to check out, the owner (or the man behind the desk) was adamant that our client's card numbers weren't going to work because he needed 16 digits. I explained AMEX only has 15. It seems their systems are dated, so the owner had to call the card reader vendor which held things up and a line began to form. We didn't want to cause stress for anyone so we assured him multiple times he can take other guests before us so they didn't need to wait. He declined and continued to insist that it was our fault we didn't have the correct card numbers, but continued to speak with the vendor (who later confirmed that AX only has 15 numbers...). None of the other customers were complaining at all..but the WORKERS started making unnecessary and rude comments about us and how long it was taking. I was on the phone with my boss trying to figure out another option while the owner was on the phone with the vendor and things were feeling really stressful already, let alone having staff talk about us in front of the entire store. "This has turned into so much of a nightmare." "This is ridiculous." I told one of them that we had offered for others to go ahead of us in line, but he said they couldn't because the car had been loaded already. Finally, I was so stressed that I put it on my personal credit card just to get out of there. Rushed out of there with my receipt only to see they had unloaded my car- so now I had to wait for them to reload...after they were rushing us! Never in my life have I been heckled at by the employees of a business where I am spending $1000...I was shocked and felt disrespected..like they thought we didn't have the money to cover our bill, and that just because we took longer than an average transaction, we were inconveniencing them. The only reason I decided to still purchase with them is because it was last minute and right before Mother's Day and our options were slim. But to choose to return...absolutely not.
