In fact, Kate, the co-owner offered to send an actual "Bright and Cheery" bouquet to correct the situation - they clearly knew what they were sending wasn't what was advertised! They also didn't write the correct note that I requested in the card I purchased. And to further confirm this false advertising issue they completely changed the description of the product I purchased. Why change the description if I'm a dumb customer that didn't understand that the "You're the Best" bundle and the "Bright and Cheery" arrangement are completely two different products regardless of the cross reference? No need to remove the reference to the "Bright and Cheery" arrangement, don't you think? And to my surprise, I came across Marguerite Gardens! This beautiful flower shop is just right down the street from me! As soon as I walked in, I knew I was going to leave with a gorgeous bouquet. I've never shopped for flowers before, so this experience was new to me. The girl at the counter (sorry I forgot your name, but we talked about tattoos) was so helpful and told me I could either pick the flowers myself or she can help. I picked out several dark and lovely flowers and she arranged them beautifully. I could not be happier with this shop and my friend adored the flowers. She remarked on how she was trying to get a specific flower at whole foods but it cost too much and wasn't very fresh (in the photo I've included, it's the one with lots of condensed petals) I will be back soon! At first, everything was going well. Carolyn worked with us to get within our budget and really captured what we had envisioned for the big day. I will say that she did a fantastic job detailing the blooms she would use and even incorporating photos of what we could expect the pieces to look like. We went ahead and cancelled our contract with another vendor because of this. After a few attempts of meeting in person and scheduled phone calls, a personal matter came up which we were more than understanding and accommodating to reschedule. FINALLY, we had a call scheduled. Unfortunately, Carolyn emailed me shortly after confirming our phone call stating that she could no longer be our florist for the wedding (in 3 months) because she needs to attend a baby shower the same weekend... I get it. Life happens. But how do you operate your business like this???? Do not commit and back out after you had already said you were available.
