    My husband ordered me flowers for my birthday and this is the masterpiece that was created. The flowers are high quality, the arrangement is everything I could have wanted. When the flowers were initially delivered, I was greeted with "Happy Birthday" being sung to me! Yes, you heard that right, the delivery person sang happy birthday to me. It was really nice. I would definitely recommend anyone to check this place out.

    I'm currently out of state but wanted to send some flowers to my graduate student, who just defended her dissertation. I placed the order on a Monday night, and they were delivered by Tuesday afternoon. They didn't quite look like the photo, but they are similar and still quite beautiful. The confirmation I received said they were hand-delivered, but it sounds like they were just dropped off. Despite these minor things, I'd still highly recommend this florist. Quick service and a beautiful product.

    I apologize for my tardiness. My fiancé (at the time) and I were looking boutonnières for our upcoming wedding photo shoot. We reached out to Anna Held floral studios and explained we were in a bit of a time crunch. She assured us that she could create from scratch two unique boutonnières. Within two hours we were able to pick up our order. While chatting inside the beautiful shop, my fiancé and I were gifted the one of a kind arrangement. Honestly this gesture was thoughtful and set the tone for the photo shoot and events to come. Words cannot explain how grateful we are to come across a person with such positive energy.     Beth and the Anna Held Floral team were amazing as our wedding florist vendor! Beth is so nice to talk to - down to earth, comfortable and knowledgeable. I walked into our first consulting appointment and had no clue what I wanted - I rambled off a few things and she created my vision flawlessly! We had to change our date due to COVID and she was very accommodating. The bouquets, the head table, the guest tables and the arch for the ceremony were gorgeous! Exactly what I envisioned and for a great value. She has a great inventory of items outside of florals as well. I hope to use Anna Held again for another event!

    Never a worse experience in my life with a florist. Let me just start by saying directly to the management: your poor customer service cost you countless dollars from me. This diva always keeps fresh flowers! I try to avoid jumping into a bad review, especially for a small shop, but there is no excuse for bad customer service, they would have had a great review had they just fixed the issues! I found this place since it had great reviews here and is less than a mile from my home! I regularly have fresh cut flowers delivered and since a good friend of mine is long-distance, he loves to send me flowers regularly to stay in touch! Well I gave him this listing to send flowers for my baby blessing. I'm so glad I did not instruct him to order more yet. I would have been in tears! I have been wanting to fill my home birth space with fresh flowers and I'm really glad I gave this a trial one with one arrangement first! He got one arrangement of sunflowers to start as pictured. I have an arrangement currently dying from two weeks ago, and the ones that are dying looked better than this atrocity! In the photos, this is exactly how they were when I opened the package! No joke! The flowers themselves are poorly arranged, drooping, and deformed! Some of the sunflowers are misshapen, deformed, and all are half-closed! They are all stragglers of the crop you DON'T pick for an arrangement! Some of the stalks of accent flowers are completely bare save one flower on them. The berries they put in it are all drooping as well. It's like a joke! See for yourself in the pictures. The filler foliage is just crammed into the vase at the bottom. So my friend called and asked for a refund or new arrangement. They refused. He luckily is disputing it with his credit card company. I can NOT believe they refused to send a replacement at least! Proper customer service would be to replace them bare minimum, if not providing a full refund as well! They told him the flowers are heavy that's why they droop. Um, no. That's not how sunflowers work first of all - I buy them frequently. Secondly, as a florist they should know to reinforce droopy flowers, which sunflowers are not in any case. But nope, they just stuffed them in a vase, delivered them without calling as instructed, in a leftover trash box, that was also soaked from the water spilling. Just awful awful product and customer service all the way around. I can't believe these people are trying to charge money for this. I could have went to Trader Joe's and made my own arrangement with healthy flowers for about $15! Then they greedily refuse a refund or to fix this? Unreal! You all just lost a good customer from the start!!!

    I was in dire need of a last minute arrangement for my amazing mother for mother's day. I called to enquire about prices and was told an arrangement would be ready for pick up shortly. I'm so grateful and impressed by the hospitality, professionalism, promptness not to mention the beauty of the arrangement! I completely recommend!

    I worked with Beth (and the shop dog) to plan my bouquet and boutonniere. She was very knowledgeable and worked from a reference I found online, however, she improved on it! I ordered with 5 weeks notice and everything was ready for pick up the day before my event. The flowers were stunning and smelled amazing for weeks. Everywhere we went people stopped us to look at our flowers. Even the florists at the Lincoln Park Conservatory were impressed. I highly recommend making an appointment and working with Anna Held Floral Studio!

    Beth and her team did a phenomenal job with the flowers for our August 2019 wedding! Beth the owner was wonderful with communication, meeting with me to understand my vision, helped me come up with ideas working around our budget, and making sure I felt comfortable with my options! My bouquet was beautiful! We had flowers from each of my grandmothers, great-grandmothers and my mom's wedding bouquet. It was so meaningful to me. We received many compliments on the flowers at the church and reception! Thank you Beth and team!!!

    Have to say I am very disappointed. Passed up the budget florists in an attempt to select something elegant from a local business. When my sister sent me a picture of what she received I was pretty crestfallen. When I called the owner to express my disappointment she barked at me that I got more than what I paid for. That she didn't have the flowers on hand and she did what she could with the orange flowers she had. Honestly, the result was pretty lame, the customer service was awful (not even an attempt to be polite or salvage my business). Won't be ordering from them again.

    We worked with Beth (while based in NYC) for our September 1, 2013 wedding at The Drake, and we were THRILLED with the outcome! My husband and I only were able to come to the store once for the mock up session, but regardless of the short visit, Beth understood our vision and nailed it! For example, we wanted low and high centerpieces in collections of flowers, and I wanted succulents in my bouquets, and no flowers but rather herbs for the boutonnieres, and she pulled it off! Everyone complimented us on how unique everything was! Also, with regards to pricing, Anna Held had the best offer. Everything was reasonable, i.e. the chuppah and centerpieces, as opposed to other vendors that we looked into. I highly recommend working with them/Beth!

    Anna Held did the flowers for our wedding, and we were very satisfied! We needed a lot of direction, and Beth was a joy to work with and had a lot of really great suggestions. We had a more narrow palette since we stuck with a natural and green look, and everything was beautiful in the end. We also wanted her help with our guest favors (small, potted succulents). She was able to get us pots on the cheap, and recommended we find our own succulents since it would be more affordable than going through her suppliers. Very professional of her! We were really happy to hear that she would not only produce all of our floral arrangements, but she also took care of other details such as dropping off our boutonnieres, setting up our card box and gift table, and creating signs for our guest (for directions). Beautiful arrangements, and professional to work with - you can't ask for more. Highly recommended!

We stopped in Thursday before Mother's Day on a large last minute decoration request for our job. It was my first time there and I've never bought flowers in bulk so it took us some time asking questions and running numbers. The first interaction that left a bad taste in my mouth was a worker barking at me to stay away from the carnation buckets that another worker had said I could choose from. "There's nothing back there for little girls" was his way of telling me, a 33 yr old WOMAN, not to pick from the carnations. I wanted to immediately leave, but knew we needed these flowers and this may be the only place we can find a large amount last minute. Then, when we finally were ready to check out, the owner (or the man behind the desk) was adamant that our client's card numbers weren't going to work because he needed 16 digits. I explained AMEX only has 15. It seems their systems are dated, so the owner had to call the card reader vendor which held things up and a line began to form. We didn't want to cause stress for anyone so we assured him multiple times he can take other guests before us so they didn't need to wait. He declined and continued to insist that it was our fault we didn't have the correct card numbers, but continued to speak with the vendor (who later confirmed that AX only has 15 numbers...). None of the other customers were complaining at all..but the WORKERS started making unnecessary and rude comments about us and how long it was taking. I was on the phone with my boss trying to figure out another option while the owner was on the phone with the vendor and things were feeling really stressful already, let alone having staff talk about us in front of the entire store. "This has turned into so much of a nightmare." "This is ridiculous." I told one of them that we had offered for others to go ahead of us in line, but he said they couldn't because the car had been loaded already. Finally, I was so stressed that I put it on my personal credit card just to get out of there. Rushed out of there with my receipt only to see they had unloaded my car- so now I had to wait for them to reload...after they were rushing us! Never in my life have I been heckled at by the employees of a business where I am spending $1000...I was shocked and felt disrespected..like they thought we didn't have the money to cover our bill, and that just because we took longer than an average transaction, we were inconveniencing them. The only reason I decided to still purchase with them is because it was last minute and right before Mother's Day and our options were slim. But to choose to return...absolutely not.
