Perhaps I am one of a few straight male who loves roses and flowers. This is a local shop down the street from me. It is not hard to miss- 5000 Lincoln Ave. They have a myriad of selections of flowers ranging from ECUADOR to places all over the world! They are very knowledgeable with their flowers/roses/ and their craft and presentation before they sell it is more than amazing ( the presentation!). Most people may say flowers are overrated, but nahh I disagree wholeheartedly, its the thought that counts. Providing these is just one part. How you proceed in delivering it is what matters! Now the flowers tell a story! Prices are fair, but that doesn't even matter because the thought, the gift is all within your creativity! That's priceless. The florist here knows that. I ordered flowers for my sister-in-law's birthday. The flowers themselves may have been beautiful, but unfortunately we'll never know because she never received them. The delivery driver left the flowers in the apartment lobby without the gift note. My brother even texted back asking if the driver could leave them in the mail room since their building doesn't have a front desk, but instead they were left unattended in the lobby. Because there was no note identifying who they were for, someone ended up taking them. This completely defeated the purpose of sending a birthday gift. I'm very disappointed with the delivery service and won't be ordering from here again. read more

I had to follow up multiple times before I finally spoke with someone who actually apologized. Ordered flowers for a friend going through a difficult time. While said friend loved the flowers, the delivery left a lot to be desired. During the first delivery, the driver called me and said no one was answering. I confirmed that he tried to dial my friend's number first, which he verified. I asked him to leave the flowers on the front porch as they would be home in 10 minutes. He wouldn't leave the flowers because he didn't want to leave the flowers in the cold. Great, totally understand. But seriously, you can't wait 10 minutes? It's your job to deliver things. I asked them to deliver the next day between 6:30-7:30pm. For this, I called the shop directly and spoke to a woman. She was happy to accommodate. The delivery driver showed up the next day at 6:15 and told me he'd only wait 5 minutes for someone to answer the door (he was clearly frustrated and full of attitude). Then he said, "ma'am, it's cold outside." Not sure how that was my fault, but it's Chicago in January, what were you expecting? Go back in the car and wait for someone to open the front door. My friend had to run home and race to the front of the house to grab her flowers. Anyway there were a zillion phone calls made between me, my friend, and the delivery guy on both days. They said it was on schedule .... at 4pm I walked into store (3 hours later than designated delivery time) where I ordered from to meet with a "manager" who was pretty much the delivery driver and he then started pointing fingers getting upset and ignorant and then just canceled my order because he didn't know where's my order was and told me to call police if I have a problem most unprofessional juvenile operation I've witnessed no personality ...no personal service.... nothing ...absolutely disgusting way to do business.. no accountability and attitude when they have to answer for they disrespectful business practice.. ordered over 1k in flowers and every time is a fiasco ... lesson learned if your looking to ruin a special event or just talk with a wall or with people with below average IQ go to Luna flowers . Be careful when ordering! They ask for emails and phone numbers but they don't use them. I was never sent a confirmation from text or email. I was never notified if they were sent, or the tracking of them I had to call for an update. 40 min past the est delivery time and still nothing. They did not answer the phone so I can get an update so I had to call the receiver and spoil the surprise. Because I wasn't sure if they were going to make it on time. I called again and then was finally given an update. If they are going to be that late.
